Appearance

When Izumi was fifteen years old, she sported short hairstyle similar to Nabiki's. She also wore a blue-themed ninja outfit (blue chinese styled top and blue pleated skirt). Izumi continued to keep that outfit until her later teens and then she was forced to change her appearance due to being wanted for an arson crime that accidentally happened to a department store in downtown Tokyo.

Izumi's new look was having longer hair which was colored to a lighter brown and her outfit was changed to a red chinese-style top, grey pleated skirt, orange arm guards, and black boots. Sometimes, if the weather permits, Izumi rather wears tan colored shorts and a green tank top with black sandal-flipflops.

Energetic. Incredibly energetic. Fun-loving, optimistic.. goofy. Silly. Also incredibly uncomfortable with any sexual situations!

Background

Izumi at age fifteen when she first arrived at the castle.

Adventurous and strong, Izumi Saotome is a Martial Artist, Just like her parents..

However, unlike them, having received training from Clef in combat, as well as control, she's a bit more calm and relaxed.. Trained as a Ninja, she's an expert in hand to hand combat techniques, and she's confident in her abilities. Often striking out on her own to explore things, or take odd jobs for extra money and to relieve boredom, she's managed to get herself into a few jams.. but nothing she can't handle. On occasion in her younger days, she's seen with her half sister Konami or half brother Ryosuke, she of course knows she's better than either of them.. but that still doesn't seem to stop her from being good friends with them.

Rather unfortunately.. much like her mother, she seems to have some slight.. problems, with riding in vehicles... and.. due to a slight miscommunication, Yuffie read about an invincible technique in an ancient text that was left where it shouldn't have been, and decided that it would be a great idea to throw Izumi into a pit of starving cats, covered in fish sausage...

After continuing her training and also hanging out with her younger brother Makoto, Izumi decided to head to the castle where her parents first met. She decided that if there was a good place to start adventuring, it was definitely there. Izumi made a lot of friends and reaquainted with old friends like Matsumi, Sylph, Kura, and Gabriel to name a few. Izumi was also fascinated with a few of the other patrons, sometimes in a picking on sort of way.. especially Pepper, despite him being a great deal older than her.

Eventually her eyes however set on the resident android doctor, Akira. Having never met someone so diligent, quiet, beautiful, and smart.. and OH MAN THOSE -MUSCLES-! Izumi was instantly in awe. Often spying on him in silence from the medbay air vents.. she was caught by Akira and then formally introduced to him. Izumi ended up spending a great deal of time around Akira until he asked her if it would be alright for her to be part of a new program he developed to try to understand human emotions better. The program was concerning romantics.. and Izumi, albeit being a little shy, agreed. From that point on Izumi and Akira began dating. She developed a few programs for him which made him look very ridiculous, but it was all in good humor. Izumi then tried to get close to the rest of the people close to Akira, one of them being Eve. However Eve was absolutely not having it, and shunned Izumi off. Izumi, definitely not one to give up, decided she'd keep trying.. but on a later time.

Joining Mercs

Izumi then joined a mercenary group which consisted of Raziel, Matsumi, Sylph, and Yuriko. Taking random jobs, Izumi started to get rather wealthy and began making a name for herself. During this time Izumi was invited to join the Dark Tournament under Hiei (Kura's father)'s team. Izumi's battle was lucky in the fact that her opponent's weapon was to draw out her worst fear... which unfortunately made her slip into the Neko-ken technique. Izumi won the round and advanced with her team. The entire team won and Izumi along with the others were able to receive a wish. Izumi wished for a new summon materia, Neo Bahamut. Izumi was very pleased with the outcome of the tournament until she found out what her brother Makoto had wished for. He wished to become immortal, therefore becoming part youko (fox demon). He had also the ability to grant this immortality to one other person and he wanted to share it with Izumi. Izumi however declined.. she didn't want to live forever and knew that was a bigger curse than a gift. Makoto was very upset but did not press it.

The Start of Intimacy Fear

Izumi continued going on more jobs with Matsumi especially. Both of their mothers had been friends in the castle and Izumi related more so to Matsumi than the others because of their ninjutsu background. They also grew up together as childhood friends and the opposite personalities that they had made them the perfect pair. Izumi also continued to work with the mercenary group, dealing with a variety of things.. from alternate evil forms of the castellians to alien symbiotes.. everything ended up going pretty smoothly. Izumi also continued to get steadilly closer and close to Akira. Konami, Izumi's older half-sister tried to help out with the courtship.. giving Izumi some sexual advice on how to please her android boyfriend. However, Izumi being only fifteen.. froke the hell out and ran off which started adding more and more apprehension with doing anything 'physically' romantic with the opposite sex. It also didn't help when on the rooftop, Akira was sharing a moment with Izumi.. and he gave her her first kiss. Izumi reflexively punched him in the eye causing a bruise and mumbling frantic apologies. From then on, Akira said he would ask permission before kissing her to avoid the startling 'reflexes'.

Death and Rebirth

The next biggest mission with Izumi was the arrival of Sailor Galaxia. The gardian Luna, unfortunately in the shape of a cat, came to deliver the representation of Mars to Izumi. Izumi, despite trying not to freak out at the freaking cat there, accepted the role of becoming Sailor Mars. Finding herself protecting the newly appointed Sailor Moon, Sylph.. the pair again battled evil versions of their friends. One of which ended up being Pepper, in the form of a MOTD... and calling himself Sailor Hentai Okashira. During that fight Rina Inverse, in the form of Sailor Iron Mouse, fired a beam at the Sailor Soldiers. Izumi, in Mars form, leaped in to defend Sailor Moon and was hit by the beam. Her body disintigrated and the Sailor Animates (the bad guys) where able to accept their first Star Seed. From then on the other Sailor Soldiers started to fall. Akira also personally challenged Sailor Galaxia for killing his girlfriend with one of the combat programs Izumi had designed for him.. (he got to wear a cowboy hat, ok?), and unfortunately he was also dismantled.

When the mission was finally over, the Soldiers were brought back and Galaxia was healed.. and opted to start a relationship with Izumi's older half-brother, Ryosuke. Izumi then learned of Akira's 'death'. Being incredibly upset, Catty, Akira's mother beamed her up onto her spaceship to tell her that she had 'pulled some strings' and now Akira was able to come back. Behind her, Izumi saw that Akira was alive again.. only this time a human. Izumi was immediately overjoyed, hugging Akira and not wanting to leave him.. until Catty said that she had to so that Akira could recuperate. Izumi then left so he could do that.

Family and Friend Problems

During this time, Pepper had been having problems with his wife Sonatina... and somehow started a relationship with Konami. Izumi tried to speak with Sonatina and see what was the problem, due to the attack Sonatina did against Konami. Izumi finally was able to get information on what happened from Blues, Sonatina's guardian friend dude.. by bribing him with a klondike bar made out of oil. Izumi immediately felt disgusted at Pepper for doing such a thing and bringing her sister into it. She already knew that Konami had just gotten out of a relationship with Kurama (another person whom Izumi admired). Izumi however did not press it.. until later..

Matsumi had apparently made a deal with Konami and Konami tried to lash out at Matsumi by taking advantage of her in her sleep. Matsumi then changed into a far darker and more serious killer for a while. Izumi was perplexed at the change until she found out what happened. From there, Izumi was disgusted and appalled at what her 'sister' had done to her best friend.. Unable to kill her own family, Izumi did the next worst thing she could imagine. She disowned Konami and told her to never speak to her again. Konami was incredibly upset because no matter what Izumi had never tried to purposely hurt her but relented and disappeared off with Pepper. The only other person who Izumi knew actually KNEW about the ordeal was Hiroshi. Izumi made Hiroshi swear that he would never tell anyone about what happened. Matsumi and a few others continued to try to extract revenge on Konami for what she had done.. eventually making Konami snap and dissappear. Eve then came to 'cheer' up Izumi in her own non-helpful way in the arena. Izumi asked Eve how she knew about what had happened and Eve admitted she had gotten the information from Hiroshi. Izumi was furious at this.. and immediately voiced how much she hated Hiroshi and their friendship was over.

Getting Closer then Lost

One by one, different people of the castle had started to dissappear and reappear with different mutations. The cause of it became apparent that it was Konami. Konami had apparently gone back to Izumi's homeworld and merged with Jenova. Deciding that since she had nothing anymore, she would take the castle down completely. Izumi tried to stop Konami but in retaliation Izumi was thrown into the lake by the castle grounds. Konami then ran off, and Izumi was taken in by Akira. Akira then gave her a change of clothes and Izumi voiced how she was worried that Konami could come back and do something horrible to her.. and Akira shared another kiss with her and told her that he would stay and watch over her as she slept.

Finally after Konami was chased off again, things were slowly brightening up around the castle. Matsumi seemed more calm after Konami was defeated. Izumi went back home to visit her parents and had learned that Ranma had made a deal with Catty in arranging a marriage between their two children. Izumi at first was excited and didn't mind. She deeply cared for Akira and she was already his girlfriend. She seemed embarrassed at first with Akira but he seemed to accept it too so she didn't stop her father as he was throwing marriage invitations all over town. That is, until Matsumi finally came and spoke some sense into Izumi. Matsumi asked if Izumi was really ready to settle into marriage at being only fifteen years old.. and that this was a great responsibility.. even more so than just being 'boyfriend and girlfriend'. Izumi became scared and freaked out.. immediately running back to the medlab where Akira worked and left a note since he wasn't in there. The note was incredibly rushed and horribly written.. saying something like 'CAN'T MARRY YOU SORRY -IZUMI'. Akira was undeniably upset once he recieved the note.. and left. Once Izumi learned that Akira had left, she ran to try to get word from Catty about the news. Catty assured her that he would be fine... and that he just needed time. Izumi trusting her decided to let him have his time.. and from there that was the last that Izumi saw of Akira, the old castle, and it's inhabitants for long, long time.

New Place, New Faces

Due to the crazy time flux and paradoxes that surround the castle, Izumi had dissappeared.. and when she reappeared she was back at the castle and many of the old inhabitants were gone. Those who were still left were Hiroshi, Matsumi, Sylph, Takeo, Ryan, Raziel, Yukihana, Kura, and a few others... Pepper, Konami, and unfortunately Akira were gone. Izumi however felt that there was still a chance Akira would show up too especially since many new people were showing up at the castle now. Izumi was able to get along with many of the new inhabitants, like Emilio and Judas... however there were a few new people that she DIDN'T get along with.. like Kuja and Safe. Izumi wanted to understand Kuja, because of the fact that her own cousin, Kura, was a demon. She understood that demon emotions were different than peoples' but many of the things Kuja did were just very unsettling to Izumi. For example, the fact that he tried to always play with her hair and liked to make her jump. To top it off, the more she would freak out at him, the more amused he would be and the more he would come to the castle to see/startle her. With Safe.. it was a constant rivalry. In Izumi's mind she believed that Safe seemed to have decided that Izumi was a spoiled brat that everyone wanted to kiss her butt, so he seemed to be more adamant to insult her and go against the crowd. In the end, Izumi just decided to ignore Safe for the most part and he would do the same thing... sometimes.

Izumi also took an interest in Gabriel who had also survived with the old castellians. She was interested in the fact that he was a pacifist and offered to help train him so he could be able to defend himself just in case. She took joy in making him do sit ups to hopefully work his abs and get stronger. She also would go on adventures with Emilio who seemed to be just as energetic and full of great ideas as she was. Though, out of all the new arrivals at the time.. the one that stuck out to Izumi the most was Genoise, better known as Gen. Gen was quiet, tall, nicely built, smart, and very sweet.. at first he reminded her a lot of Akira. Then Izumi got to know Gen more and more and he would sketch with her and she found out that he was a ninja as well, like her. Izumi asked Gen out to get pastries on an actual date and Gen accepted. Izumi was very nervous, stumbling on her words but Gen was very supportive. The date was going very well up until the end. Gen realized that if Izumi were to get close to him she would have to know something very important about him. Izumi was a little apprehensive but waited to hear what Gen had to say. The next moment was a shocker. Gen ripped off his clothes and stood in front of her wearing bondage leather with a garotte wire and a killing intent. Izumi freaked out. Unfortunately the relationship did not progress after that, being the fact that seeing Gen in such a state deeply bothered Izumi, Gen did not want to press it either.

Izumi continued being friends with Gen.. and continued to go on her crazy adventures. At this time, Izumi began training a few techniques with Kuja in preparation for the Hunters Exam. The training of course, wasn't free. Nothing was free with Kuja. The training was very humiliating, almost as bad as training for the Hiryuu Shoten Ha.. but Izumi endured. To top it off, Izumi was challenged to play a strip poker game with Emilio, Kuja, and Shinichiro. Izumi did not want to, but once she was given the ultimatum that she couldn't 'handle it', it was on. The results were hilarious and Kuja tried to cheat in order to see Izumi naked, but in the end.. Izumi won. ... much to her chagrin. Izumi had to stay over more at Kuja's place as one of the losing bets.. which made her and Kuja get closer and closer. Kuja finally admitted to her that she fascinated him as a human and he wanted to actually GET closer to her. Izumi was flattered, but.. she still felt wierd around him. She also didn't like the fact that Kuja always demanded things from her and never wanted to help her out as a friend. Oh well.

Enter the Crank

Izumi and Emilio continued their escapades. They even invited Urameshi Sin, a street punk and brother of Umino to come join them. Well. They didn't really invite him, he decided to crash on his own. Emilio came up with the idea of ditching him and Izumi agreed. Sin ended up getting bored and leaving on his own but the scheme Emilio had concocted with Izumi had backfired. He accidentally cast a fire spell on a department store and caused it to go up in flames. They both ran the scene as the fire department came to take care of the damages. Thankfully no one was hurt. However, now that this happened.. certain authorities were interested in Izumi and Emilio. They were somewhat aware that the ones responsible weren't any normal criminals and a few bounty hunters were given claims on the arest of Izumi and Emilio.

Axel was one of those bounty hunters. He came to the castle to collect the reward on Izumi and Emilio's heads. Once Izumi found out, she ran to Kuja for help and she suggested to him the possible idea of a disguise. Kuja agreed, this time for free.. but in reality the payment was the ability to play with Izumi's hair without having her freak out at him. Izumi was given a complete makeover thanks to Kuja.. however this did not really help keep Axel off of her back. Izumi and Emilio reasoned with Axel about how their case was innocent, and due to the help with the hunter organization and some strings pulled by Kuja.. the bounty was called off. Axel decided to stay. It was way more fun.

Cousins grow up

During one of the mission/episodes that happened at the castle, Kura had dissappeared. Izumi was very worried and upset and to top it off it was impossible to gain contact with where Kura had gone to for a few weeks. Finally when contact was established, they were able to locate where Kura had dissappeared to. The group traveled to the timeline Kura was stranded in, however, now she was much older.. almost the same age as Izumi. Izumi was surprised at first, but moreso relieved at the fact that she had her cousin again. Once Kura was brought back to the castle, Kura reassured Izumi that she was fine and that she had learned a lot in those years she had spent in that different timeline so it was not a waste. Izumi was still worried about how things like this could happen so easilly to her family and friends, but eventually relented. Kura was happy and seemed to be fascinated with Axel. Izumi just wanted to make sure that her family and friends were safe.. and wouldn't be hurt or taken away again.

Izumi was then invited by Emilio to his knighting ceremony after all the achievements he had accomplished. A few other friends were asked to come too and Izumi accepted. After the knighting ceremony, Emilio confessed his feelings for Izumi. Izumi was again shocked, but said that she didn't feel the same. She just wanted to be friends. Emilio was upset but seemingly accepted that fact. Izumi meanwhile was starting to get more and more paranoid at herself at why so many people had been confessing to her lately.. that inate fear that she was playing with men. Maybe she was acting 'sexy'.. and that even WORSE voice in the back of her mind taunting her that she could potentially grow up to be some sort of sex maniac like Konami. Izumi went back home.. and now a new arrival had come to the castle again.

The new arrival was Axel's sister, Ratchet. She brought a whole new air of mystery and pranks to the castle. Eager to matchmake her seemingly somber brother, Ratchet dug information out of Axel and found out that he was somewhat interested in Izumi from her crazy energetic attitude. Since he wouldn't say anything out loud, Ratchet threatened to tell Izumi instead. With that threat in mind, Axel went ahead and asked Izumi to go bowling with him. Izumi was surprised again that AXEL, the guy who was chasing a bounty on her head, was asking her to go bowling.. but hey! It could be fun. So she accepted. She thought this was just an outing as friends.. since she knew that Kura was interested in him. Axel was off-limits. They had a lot of fun together and everything was going smoothly until the next day Izumi accepted to go on a motorcycle ride with another of the local ninjas, a rather good looking man named Kamen. Axel saw this and immediately started thinking the worst, even though it was a misunderstanding. He went and confided what he saw with his sister Ratchet and the two divised a plan to get back at Izumi.

Toonces, the bringer of Love

The next day, Izumi was walking through the forest outside of the castle and everything was calm and fine. Then out of nowhere a honing mini-car driven by a robotic cat with a rotating head that spit TOMATO JUICE started chasing Izumi. Izumi screamed for dear life and ran and ran.. and the car kept following her. It didn't take long before Izumi began to meow herself and resort to Neko-ken, going around shredding the forest with chi-claws. Axel, seeing the destruction, realized his mistake. Kura ran to the scene and Izumi leaped onto her lap, calming down to a more docile cat. Kura was very upset at Axel and Axel appologized.. saying that he had no idea this would have happened. Kura told Axel to go, and he did.. Izumi finally calmed down and asked Kura what the -HECK- happened. Kura told her that the 'car' was taken away.. and Izumi quickly found out who was responsible. Izumi was -pissed-.. so she stormed off to find Axel and kick his butt. She found him quite easilly in front of the castle and stomped up to give him a piece of her mind. Axel, seeing Izumi approach and looking incredibly pissed off held out his hand and started forming his Mephestopheles beam cannon out of his arm. Izumi stopped and just stared at him. Axel quickly realized what the heck he was doing and explained what the car and everything was for and Izumi explained that she wasn't trying to move in on him either because of wanting to respect Kura's feelings.. though Axel admitted to her that he wasn't interested in Kura, he was interested in her. Izumi finally got it. She realized that he was going this far and doing all of this because he GENIUNELY liked her. He was that jealous, and that passionate.. it definitely touched Izumi's heart. Izumi smiled and said that she was tired of running away. And she knows that her indecisiveness has been hurting all of her 'suitors' and she said she knew that holding and waiting for Akira for a year, who already left her, wasn't going to help the situation any. She said that the next person that would ask her out, she would say yes. However, after that statement.. Axel said nothing. He looked happy. ..but said nothing. ..Izumi stared for a moment, and after getting no response.. she headed off.

Drama bomb

Izumi headed to the arena to train. She wasn't training long until Kuja showed up and asked her about the commotion that had happened earlier. Izumi didn't want to tell him everything.. but Kuja was easilly able to drag all the information out of her. Realizing that Izumi had made a promise that whoever asked her out next and she would have to say yes, Kuja went ahead and asked her immediately. Izumi hesitated... she had made a promise. She didn't -want- to date Kuja, but she said yes. Seconds later, Axel bursted into the Arena with a bouquet of flowers and asks Izumi if she would go out with him. Izumi, now realizing that she can't anymore because she's taken.. tells Axel that she can't and that Kuja already asked her and he is now her boyfriend. Axel being incredibly upset, leaves the arena without another word. Izumi then turned to Kuja who looked very pleased and surprised. Izumi then asked if he would break up with her, which quickly took the smile off of Kuja's face. He walked over to her and touched her arm, then leaned in and said that he just put a bomb on her arm. If she were to respond, to move, or to fight back.. the bomb would take off her right arm. Izumi stood still and Kuja proceeded to kick her across the arena and then insult her. Calling her a whore and that she was worse than Konami. All those things stung Izumi badly.. but she didn't make a move or a sound. Once Kuja was finished.. he 'dumped' her and Izumi staggered her way out of the arena to look for Axel.

Not wanting to bring up more trouble, Izumi didn't tell Axel what Kuja had did to her.. in her mind thinking that he did this because of his demon-side and his inability to relate to emotions like humans do. Izumi then proceeded to tell Axel that her and Kuja broke up.. and at that point Axel finally asked her if she would go out with him. Izumi said yes.

Things fall into Place

Slowly things were settling into a routine. Izumi had to unfortunately say goodbye to Gabriel who wouldn't tell her the details of why he had to leave.. other than he needed to step up for his kingdom. Izumi was upset.. and now at this point taking the blunt force of many of the retaliations of her suitors now that she had a boyfriend. She was bonked on the head with a mallet by Ratchet for hurting Emilio's feelings and lost Gabriel. Izumi also started distancing herself from Kuja who ended up pursing another girl at the castle. Izumi was fine with all of that though, as being with Axel brought forth many new things to do and learn. She learned that he was a big nerd and loved star trek and star wars and science. She didn't care for Takeo that much with his history with Konami but Axel and Takeo hit it off very well, partnering up for crazy inventions. However, Izumi still had her fear of intimacy. Kuja noted how Izumi, despite dating Axel.. wasn't really treating him different as they were when they were just hanging out as friends. She wouldn't kiss him, or do anything that normal boyfriends and girlfriends do. She responded that Axel didn't mind any of that and that he cared for her as a person.. not for her body. ...and that they HAD kissed before.. like. Twice.

After further talking with other castle members for advice.. Izumi was told that if she continued to be so distant to Axel, he would leave her. ..and that was probably one of the reasons why Akira left her in the first place. Izumi became mortified at this and torn. She didn't want to turn into Konami, but she also didn't want to lose Axel the way she lost Akira. Izumi did not have much time to ponder this though.. as there was something sinister brewin beyond the castle walls.

Due to Izumi's habit of sleeping on the roof, being taken wasn't that hard. A specific dark wizard who had made a deal with Yuffie in the past at the castle.. and he had come to collect. The deal Yuffie had made with the Legendary Exploder Wizard, Dark Schneider, was that if he were to protect her from a certain individual, she would offer to him her first born child. However, Yuffie tried to double cross this deal by warning Izumi to stay the heck away from any tall, tan, really buff, silver haired guys with sharp teeth. Izumi stayed true to the advice.. but she didn't have a chance. Once she was taken, one of the subordinates of the Dark Wizard offered help to the castellians to help get Izumi back. With magical hammers and a whacky purpose.. the gang went and were able to rescue Izumi from Dark Schneider's sinister INTENTIONS.

Once back and safe and sound.. Izumi spoke to Axel a little bit about her fear of intimacy. She told him about the things Kuja had told her (though ommitting the fact that he beat her up). Axel vehemently disagreed that Izumi was anything like Konami.. and that he was patient and geniunely cared for her. Izumi was happy, and from then she asked if it would be alright if she roomed with Axel instead. ..THOUGH DEFINATELY NOT SEXUALLY. Axel agreed.

The One

The next big arc was when the castle was attacked by a group of 'time traveling children'. The children attacked the castle folks and then dragged them 1000 years into the future. Matsumi, Takeo, Elisse, Kamen, Akemi, Sylph, Ratchet, Emilio and a few others were stranded on a ship. They were able to meet a future Axel who had become a reknowned scientist as well as Judas who was the ship's captain. The crew was given a few tasks to perform before they would be able to head back home because all of them had been infected with a futuristic virus that in time would turn them into the same type of monsters as those 'children' they had met earlier, better known as the 'godless'. The group was assured that the Hyper Operational Persona Emulator (HOPE) project would be able to cure them. The gang eventually found the pieces needed to make HOPE operational but to their surprise the being in front of them was a soul-less looking cyborg made in Izumi's liking.. and with furthur questioning they found out that it WAS Izumi. Apparently Axel was forced to experiment with the remains of his 'future wife' to make a powerful weapon to fight the godless off. Many in the group, if not all, were appalled at what Axel had done. HOPE was apparently sentinent and did not forgive Axel for giving her the one thing that she had feared of having.. immortality. The group then was able to witness the final destruction of the godless, as well as HOPE before returning back to the castle in their normal times.

Aftermath of Future Disaster

After the mission, Emilio, Matsumi, and Kamen were very apprehensive of Axel being around Izumi.. especially with the fact that he had the potential to do what he did to her.. even if it was 1000 years into the future. Izumi was confused why people were acting this way to her boyfriend and thought that their apprehension was ridiculous. During this time Matsumi decided to sneak into Axel's room and steal something from him, Axel being adamant about not being stolen from.. hunted Matsumi down.. even going as far as following her to her bedroom and threatening to sleep in the same room until his item was returned. Kuja, seeing this commotion took pictures of the entire ordeal and had them sent to Izumi. Izumi was utterly furious at Axel for trying to go to her best friend. She blew up at everyone until she was finally calm enough to hear that it was all a big misunderstanding. Axel assured Izumi that he would never do anything like that and that she was the one that meant a lot to him. Izumi believed him and due to the overwhelming tension between them.. suggested that they get away for a few days.

Axel and Izumi went to America for a while, vacationing around on the west coast.. and even going as far as getting married in Vegas. However Izumi realized that she wasn't ready for marriage and that they were taking things too fast and filed for a divorce. Izumi wouldn't be able to sleep with Axel.. and Axel, although being hurt, accepted that and said he would wait for Izumi as long as she needed to. Izumi was deeply touched at how much Axel was trying to be there for her.. and they continued trying to be just a good normal couple.

Back to the Future?!

After a few more months of getting back into the zone, Izumi dissappeared again.. this time falling into the lake at the castle and appearing with old friends coming back and her new friends having dissappeared. She got to see Pepper, Eve, Kouji, and Akira again.. which was an extreme shock. Not sure what to believe, she was exstatic at seeing her boyfriend again. Hugging him tightly, she was a bit hurt when she realized that Akira was not responding the way she remembered him to. Being embarrassed and awkward, she realized that this must be another time warp that she fell into. She distanced herself a bit.. and got a better feel of the situation. She went again to speak with Akira and found out that while she had gone into three years off into the future, Akira was still the same way as he was before he turned human.

Izumi regretfully explained to Akira that things were different now and that they weren't a couple anymore.. she had waited for him as long as she could but now she had Axel, even if he wasn't there yet. Akira seemed to take the news well and a little formally, which made Izumi think even moreso that Akira and the 'her' that he remembers weren't that close and he probably forgot a few things. Akira assured her that he still remembered her but was acting the way he was to not insult her. Being confused, Izumi pondered her situation.. being torn with the past and the present.

Axel finally returned to the castle and Izumi was excited to see him again. She leaped and hugged him but then was dissappointed to find out that he had apparently left her for a year in this time fluxation. Izumi was a little hurt that Axel would leave her and that he didn't seem very surprised at seeing her again.. Matsumi noted Izumi's apprehension but explained to her that this sort of thing shouldn't matter too much. At least he was still here. But it DID matter to Izumi. She was tired of having the people closest to her wanting to leave.

During this time Izumi had gone back to sleeping on the castle roof as she had done in her older days. She found that more comfortable since she did not want to make things awkward in sharing a room with Axel, especially since they apparently had distance for a year. Akira eventually found Izumi and voiced his concern for sleeping like that. He said that he would have a spot for her in the medlab to sleep in like she did before when she was fifteen. Izumi, trusting Akira in being a good friend and definately trusting him to have the best intentions for her, accepted.

New Love Old Love?!

Izumi maintained a distance from Axel for a while and slept in the medbay to get a hold of her feelings.. still feeling somewhat confused at the fact that Axel had been gone from her for a year. In her mind, this was something that couldn't be ignored.. since she felt that Axel knew how badly it hurt her to be alone. So. If he -purposely- left her for a year.. that definitely meant something was wrong. Matsumi, however, kept voicing to Izumi that those things were trivial.. and if he loved her and she loved him they should just be together. Izumi thought about it some more and eventually spoke to Axel and she fell asleep in his arms. Things became a little heated because that next morning, Izumi woke up with hickeys and love bites along her neck. Confusing the marks for some sort of skin disease, she went to Akira for help.. and Akira quickly understood what the markings were. Akira and Axel then had a very stern chat and things became even more strained between the two. Izumi was flustered.. but knew inside that she was still undeniably attracted to Axel. Izumi then moved out of the medlab and decided to become more independant.. choosing to take her own room.

Freaking Jerk.

It was during this time that Izumi began clashing heads with Naruhito Tachikawa, a new arrival who seemed to be stuck in an ancient Chinese mindset. Naruhito insulted Izumi's state of dress and called into every flaw and self-doubt that she had. Izumi ran away in tears.. and locked herself in her room for a few days.. deciding to move out of the medlab since she did not want Akira to see her like this. Matsumi became concerned and suggested to Izumi to destroy the tree that Naruhito had built. Izumi agreed, thinking that would help her feel better. The two destroyed Naruhito's tree and despite that.. the tension between the two remained. Izumi constantly kept butting heads with Naruhito and tried to deter anyone from getting close to him, since in her mind he was a chauvenistic freak.

After mending through rough territory, Izumi and Axel spoke again and shared some very personal words to each other.. and then the two mended their differences although not going back out quite yet. While Axel suggested Izumi to move back in with him in the quarters he had made in the hangar, Izumi decided to stay in her own room for a while to help keep up her independence.

A New Adventure

Izumi and Matsumi pack up and leave the castle.. heading to The Inn!

Due to building tension inside the castle, Izumi and Matsumi were no longer welcome at the castle grounds unless they agreed to serve under what they felt was a dictatorship management. Although it could have been a complete misunderstanding, both of them decided that the best course of action was to venture elsewhere. The pair packed their belongings (Matsumi taking the TV along too as collateral).. and then the two were off to find closer housing due to their acceptance to Tokyo University. Axle, Kuja, Pepper, Kamen and Hiro followed suit with their own purposes. After searching far and wide, eventually the pair learned of an old near abandoned Inn that had a pretty scary reputation of being housed by ghosts. Being fearless and deciding that this place might have something fun to offer (also it was dirt cheap), the two signed up for a room inside the Inn. Because the Inn was no longer fully furnished like the castle, Izumi and Matsumi decided to take jobs. Izumi met one of the local residents of the Inn, Shinshi Seta and after talking with him she persuaded him to put in a good word and land a job at the Everything Dragon Cafe as a waitress.

PARADIGM... what?!

During her stay at the Inn, Izumi met more people. Some were friendlier than others, some were kind of strange. Izumi met a very interesting guy named Belle Hibiki, a shy man named Daichi Niwa with an attractive counterpart named Dark, and more. At first, Izumi was quickly annoyed by the constant rivalry between herself and Belle but she soon embraced his loud, passionate, and energetic attitude. Matsumi noticed it too and became interested in him. Izumi, being who she IS, suggested for Matsumi and Belle to date.. and they did though it ended awkwardly. Through growing confrontations and adventures, such as a weird ring incident, Belle and Izumi understood each other a little better in her mind.. and once Matsumi had left and Axle disappeared after his tryst with Sakura, Izumi found herself clashing with Belle more and more. To top things off, Izumi got into a sexually awkward scenario with Dark kissing her and her in turn hurting him with a piledrive.. which made him have a little more distance from doing something like that again. People then started leaving and disappearing. A year or so passed and eventually those were still left at the Inn were given a proposal from PARADIGM to start working for them to stop dimensional disturbances. Izumi felt like that was up her alley as she remembered doing things like that back at the castle. However, she still kept her job at the Everything Dragon Cafe because she wanted to keep experiencing what it was like to just be a normal girl.

After a few missions, Izumi started becoming more comfortable with how things were shaping up at the Inn. Though Izumi witnessing Sagiko Tsukino kissing Belle after a mission deeply bothered her.. though she didn't know why. Some more people started showing up at the inn, too, notably a demon man named Aku. Izumi immediately felt fascinated by him because he was not only making her remember her cousin, Kura, but he was also a very tall and attractive guy. He had a quieter personally that deeply contrasted Izumi's loud one. The tension between Belle and Izumi continued to build up. He would often help her in missions and say things that made her feel like Belle was just like her. After a confession from Aku (and Izumi headbutting him..), Izumi felt like she was messing around with peoples' feelings again, she hurried to Belle to tell him what was on her mind before she felt like she would make another mistake. After the two talked, they agreed to start dating.

Things were going awkwardly at first.. actually. REALLY awkwardly. Izumi started pouring out all her expectations and fears right away to Belle because of her nature to speak her mind. Belle, not being used to this, started getting weirded out. He was also feeling awkward getting cutesy messages from her and things of that nature.. which bothered Izumi but she decided that she would try to make things work somehow. More missions passed and after a particular mission where Izumi noted that Aku had two male parents.. she asked Aku how it was possible for him to exist. She started hypothesizing on how Aku might have been grown in a tank and how she would one day like to conceive a child in the same manner. Unimaru, a demon who had been listening, bluntly said that she was going to get dumped if she refused to be physical with the man she was with. Izumi ran away, upset. Later that evening she went to talk to Belle and spoke about what happened.. and again, Belle was weirded out by Izumi's insecurity with relationships and her attitude. He then confessed that maybe they shouldn't date anymore and his thoughts of her weren't like that of a couple and were more like family. ...and it was bothering him in CERTAIN WAYS. Izumi became upset again but tried to hide it, saying that if that was the case then they should just stick to being friends.

Now that Izumi has come to terms that she isn't like a typical girl, she resigned from the Everything Dragon Cafe and has decided to focus more of her time on training.

• Rei gun: Due to spiritual training with Sin, Izumi can harness spiritual power into her ki blasts. However she does not pinpoint it into a single finger shot.. rather, she focuses it into her palms and fires it like a Mouko Takabisha shot.

• Rokushiki techniques
  • Soru: The Soru (剃る Soru, literally meaning "Shave") allows the users to move at extremely high speeds in order to avoid attacks, as well as to attack at higher speeds and with greater power. It was revealed that the principle of this move was to kick off the ground at least ten times in the blink of an eye.
  • Geppo: The Geppo (月歩 Geppō, literally meaning "Moon Step") allows the users to actually jump off the air itself, allowing them to stay in the air for much longer than usual. Members can use this technique to cross great distances without ever touching the ground, or set themselves up for swift, aerial attacks. While the technique itself affords several advantages in both in and out of battle for the user, it has but one major weakness: since its usage depends heavily on the user's legs, restraining or pinning down any major parts of their lower body can significantly disrupt Geppo.
  • Diable Jambe: The Diable Jambe (悪魔風脚 (ディアブルジャンブ), literally meaning "Devil Leg") is the kick fighting style learned from the All Blue Cook, Sanji. When Izumi utilizes this style she heats up her leg, adding extreme heat to the impact of her kicks. In this form, Izumi, due to the high temperature has the ability to burn her opponents. While like this, she can light her opponent on fire.

Powers & Merits

• Girl of Water - Being the Girl of Water, Izumi is able to use water-based attacks and techniques if she's around Kamuro or in the world where the Kegai no Tami originate from.
  • Water Dragon Slayer: Helped taught to her by Atticus and Xander, Izumi gains the power and characteristics of Leviathan, along with the signature ability of Dragon Slayers to eat external sources of her element to heal herself and regain power, thus making her immune to water attacks. She can also breathe under water.
  • Water Dragon's Roar: Izumi's version of the signature Dragon Slayers' attack, she generates water in her mouth and releases it in a concentrated, destructive blast, capable of destroying everything in a wide area in front of her.

She also has makou-poisoning. It's not a power, but anything related to that affects her.

Flaws

Curiosity (2): Your incredible curiosity often overrides your common sense. Resisting temptation requires a successful Wits roll, difficulty depending on the situation. A very bad flaw to take with certain evil sadistic GMs.

Phobia of CATS (3): You have a specific, incredibly powerful fear. The 3 point version, you must succeed a willpower roll or be incapacitated by your fear, or if appropriate.. roll or enter a frenzy/flip-out.

Overconfident (1): You think you can do everything even though you probably can't, and you try to prove your belief as often as possible.

Otherworldly Taint MAKOU EYES (2): You have a physical peculiarity (odd hair/eye color, glowing eyes, etc.) and/or just an odd aura about you which may make you stick out. Someone who suspects you're not "normal" may make a Perception + Awareness roll, difficulty 7, to determine what you are.

Dark Secret "Konami Incident" (1): There's something about you which you don't want people to know, and it would be very bad if they did (or at least you think it would be).

Compulsion "Gettin' Rich" (1): You have a specific compulsion which may cause you problems. You have to spend a temporary Willpower point to fight the compulsion for a short time.
