Personality
Axel might come off as a cold, standoffish bastard at times, but that is mostly when he is on the job. When off the clock, so to speak, he's a nice guy that loves to play boardgames and tinker with machines.
Background
Axel is the first child of the explorer Bolt Crank, A man deemed as the greatest explorer to ever live. He and his sister were raised by their mother since their father was oftentimes gone for years on end. This relationship with his father shaped Axel into a cold work-ethic which he evolved as he eventually graduated from school and became an explorer or bounty hunter on his own. For two years, Axel adopted the name 'Axle Crank' as a way of living in his father's footsteps but eventually realized that he would always be compared to him if he were only to do that. More recently he has started accepting work under his real name, Axel Field, instead.
At the age of 19, while working a job for Cheng-Han Heavy Industries, a weapons congolomerate , Axel came under attack by their rival company, Shangri-La Trinity. This job had him protecting the prototypes of two newly developed weapons, the laser cannon "Eos" and the CHHI HW-09 Panzerfaust. The Trinity's bulldogging of Cheng-Han had lead to their increase of security, but the unexpected assault on their main R&D laboratory threw them into disarray. Axel was forced to fight the Trinity's strike force, but was nearly overtaken by their superior numbers. Forced to take refuge in the main laboratory with the two weapons in tow, Axel quickly ate the weapons and looked for an exit out of the facility. The two doorways into the facility had been compromised and were being cut through by the Trinity. His only choice was to escape using the massive and experimental Mole Teleportation System used in the Taradonian Wars several decades before his birth. With no exact coordinates plotted, Axel leapt through the gateway and through some small miracle, managed to fall to the Earth.

Axel's power is to eat anything (anything eaten by him goes into a fourth-dimensional pocket contained within him) and have full knowledge of how to recreate and correctly use that item. If he were to eat a car, he would have full knowledge about everything that car can do and its abilites. If he were to drink gas, he could tell you what its exact chemical composition is. It's also possible for Axel to repurpose the matter in his system to create items within himself for other uses. Hunks of metal can be turned into chains, sheets into parachutes, et cetera.
Axel is also incredibly resistance to explosions and impact force up to 500 newtons. He can take getting shot by regular caliber gun and not get harmed. High caliber weapons, however, can puncture and wound him severally.
The Eaten Weapon List
CHHI HW-08 High-Spread Maser, Eos-Class "Mephistopheles": A maser beam rifle developed by a company Axel was hired to protect from their rival. The actual rifle is capable of 5 shots per minute and has a cooldown rate of 2 minutes before fully recharging.
"Warchief": A modified Walther PPS. The Warchief is a semi-automatic pistol capable of firing 9 .40-caliber shots.
L'Étranger and Mauvaise Foi: Twin modified 700 Nitro Express semi-automatic handcannons. Weighs 32 lbs and fires custom .700 rounds.
The Plenipotentiary: A tranquilizer gun modified from a .40 AutoMag. The Plenipotentiary holds 20 rounds in a magazine, each armed with fletchettes containing a mixture of haloperidol and etorphine compounds that cause momentary torpor in most human foes. The effects of this potent cocktail lasts upwards of five minutes and continues to cause drowsiness upwards of 30 minutes after the initial stick.
