Background
Crystal Tokyo
Most of the Senshi, except for Sailor Neo Saturn, came from Crystal Tokyo. Through various means the girls were given their transformation wands by Phoebe. A few of the girls thereafter were invited to live at the Crystal Palace and remained with the Royal family until they were recruited by PARADIGM.
Uniform
The uniform worn by the Sailor Senshi resembles a popular style of Japanese school uniform, the sērā fuku or "sailor suit". The uniforms of the Senshi not only show their femininity, they "perform it excessively in frilly, girly fashion". As the Senshi gain additional powers and insights, the features of their uniforms change to reflect these advances. Most of them have unique traits to begin with such as earrings, brooches, and so on.
