The Spider Clan is an association of ninja families from the Yasha Dominion and Scorpion Clan members loyal to Kotaro Shippu.

History

The Spider Ninja Clan was not always such a thing. Until Yamijou Tenpouin's ascension, they were, at best, a loose association of ninja families in the Yasha Nation, operating publicly under the Warlord of Yasha, the third echelon of power, alongside the military and the Tenpouin clan Onmyouji. When Yamijou Tenpouin usurped the Warlord, he gave the ninja clans operating under the former warlord a simple offer. Serve him, alive and well, or serve him in death. The ninja clans knew better than to oppose an Onmyouji of his power, and immediately sided under him.
As the Yasha Dominion expanded, and convinced Kotaro Shippu to join them, a sizeable chunk of the Scorpion Clan joined him, and added their formidable might to the already considerable clans of Yasha, which renamed itself the Spider Clan, as an 'offshoot' of the Scorpion clan. They have continued to serve under Yamijou Tenpouin willingly, and for every one of them who falls, they gain a new undead ally, making them a potentially invincible ninja clan. Their already tentative associations with darkness are now made manifest, and with a bit more effort, they may become the most numerous and powerful ninja clan in the Rankai Lands, from such humble beginnings.

Purpose

The Spider Clan's goal is to serve as the shinobi forces of the Yasha Dominion. Their skills are used for espionage, assassination and occasionally mystical purposes. Their current goal is to assist in the invasion of lands via rumours and unrest, and to add more members to their ranks by assimilating what's left of the Scorpion Clan, dead or alive. They are ruthless and methodical, and the wide variety of families and skills among the Spider Clan means facing any of them is a new challenge, as it could be merely a skilled spy, or even a seasoned master of jutsu and combat.

Known Members

Kujiki Ippo: A powerful ninja, longstanding retainer to the Tenpouin Clan, and over 300 years old. He knows several dozen jutsu of all types, and has a superhuman body.
Subaru Genju: A ninja with amazing skills with weapons and special body armor, built into his body. Literal extensions.
Kiryu Sonada: Former prodigy of the Scorpion Clan, currently strongest of the Spider Clan. He has several insect limbs available from his body.
Sakura: A kunoichi, former child bride of Yamijou Tenpouin. When he got tired of her, he killed her and made her into a ninja by fusing the souls of 100 dead ninja into her body.
Shion: A kunoichi, formerly of the Scorpion Clan. Was promised eternal youth for betraying the Scorpion Clan, so she happily did so. Highly skilled in Genjutsu and seduction.
Akari: A pure construct. A Gaijin woman's body who was made into the perfect ninja. Her organs are spiders, and she can use Onmyoujutsu as well as oher ninja techniques.
