The Eagle Clan of ninjas are the newest known ninja force in the Rankai Lands. Situated in Shiden, they form a part of the military forces, but are largely independent.

History
The Eagle Clan was formed when several ninja families from the Western Rankai Lands resolved a feud. Instead of competing for clients and offering servitude to one lord or another, they chose to form ties with each other, mimicking the formation of other ninja clans, and formed a single cohesive unit. Not very long after that, the Eagle Clan was born, a modern idea on an ancient concept, allowing salaries to ninjas who perform missions and dispatching those with the most appropriate skills for each mission, a novel idea in the Lands, and with no fealty to any particular lord or another. The Eagle Clan became the go-to for anyone with money and the need for a ninja, the ultimate sell-swords in the Rankai Lands.
Purpose
The Eagle Clan owes allegiance to no faction, despite their association with Touma Jinrai. They perform their duties for high bidders and dispatch the most relatively useful ninja for each mission. By doing so, they maximize their profits and maintain tabs on satisfied clients. While not as numerous or powerful as either the Tiger Clan or the Scorpion Clan, the versatility and independent nature of the Eagle Clan makes them more unpredictable and more likely to have a way or another to deal with a situation. They are as mentioned, sell-swords of the most basic nature, with allegiance only to the almighty Mon.
