Background

Seiya was born into the Sumeragi clan, an old and highly influential Japanese family with ties to many religious sects, corporations, and politicians. Her mother was a young daughter of the family named Yoshika who had a secret relationship with a visiting foreigner against the family's wishes. She bore the foreigner's child after he was long gone, and the family kept the mother and child cloistered in the family estate to avoid any scandal from this. Seiya grew up shunned by the rest of her family, as did her mother, who accepted the fate she was given without a word of complaint. When her life finally changed, it was seemingly at random. She was caught up in a larger cross-distortion that swept her away to another world. That was five years ago. Now she's finally made it back home.

• Wall Jump: Able to rebound off of walls into the air.
• Demonic Barrier: Walls off a given area with red walls of demonic energy. Anyone but the user who comes close to one will have a red hand of demonic energy reach out from the wall and grab at them, hitting them with a jolt of demonic power if they make contact. The field will break apart when the user of this ability is incapacitated, or when an extreme amount of concentrated force is used on the wall itself. When sheer force pierces the wall, it will shatter the entire barrier and leave the user temporarily incapacitated due to feedback. The user must remain inside the field at all times while it remains in place. The field is not dimensional in nature and does not block teleportation.
• Self Confident (5): One free successful roll during a mission, due to the strength of your self-confidence. This only comes into effect regarding rolls at difficulty 6 or higher. As with other rolls, this does not apply in combat (as your enemy is probably just as sure of himself as you are), but when it's time to get something done, you -know- it comes down to you.

Unique Items

Atomos, Spear of the Black Hole

A Devil Arm forged by a master magesmith in another world, drawing upon the essence of a rift of exposed, volatile magic. It is bound to Seiya, and it can be summoned and desummoned by her at will. When using it, she has access to limited control over gravity, using the moves listed below.

• σύρω (Suro; Attract): Uses gravitational force to pull a single target in toward the user.
• απωθώ (Apotho; Repel): Uses gravitational force to repel a single target away from the user.
• αντιστρέψει τη βαρύτητα (Antistrepsei ti Barutita; Reverse Gravity): Designates a target area with a 3 meter diameter. People in the target area have their gravity reversed. If they are flying, they slam into the ground. If they are on the ground, they get yanked up into the air temporarily.
• περιοχή στρέβλωση (Periokhi Streblosi; Gravity Territory): A personal protection field that, when active, distorts the trajectory of anything that comes close to the user.

Asura, the Life Taker

A Devil Arm forged in the furnaces of Facinaturu. It is a red crystal katana with an ornate, flowery hilt and crosspiece. It costs a piece of the wielder’s life to take possession of it.

Features

• Devil Arm Katana: This weapon is usable with the Dark Slayer style. It can also be summoned and dismissed freely.
• Soulbound: Because of the nature of the weapon’s life cost, it is permanently soulbound to Seiya and cannot be taken from her or stolen.
• Dark Slayer: This style involves a mastery of iaido techniques and rapid movement. It also allows the user to close in on targets with very short range blurs of speed.
• Projectile Deflection: The wielder can deflect physical projectiles such as bullets. On a high roll, she can redirect them in a favorable way.
• Null Regeneration: Whenever Seiya uses Asura, it absorbs her passive regeneration. This means that she does not recover from injuries even when in Devil Trigger state, until the weapon is dismissed. Also, all injuries suffered while using Asura are treated as regular human injuries that do not regenerate after dismissal.

Techniques

• Asura Revenge: If Seiya is attacked while in draw stance with Asura, the sword's power will manifest in a glowing magic field around the enemy, followed by a rushing counter of slashing blows that ends by cleaving the entire field in two. (Animation)
• Blizzard: An iai technique in which Seiya darts past an enemy with an iai slash. In the wake of this slash, white mists form, and ice spikes erupt from the ground at the target, with the kanji for "Snow" appearing alongside a temporary swirl of snow. Can stun an enemy on successful hit. (Animation)
• Moonlight Cut: An iai technique in which the area grows dark and a moon appears. Seiya blurs forward and slashes in the shape of a crescent, with the kanji for "Moon" appearing. (Animation)
• Tres Flores: An iai technique in which the background turns purple, and a large, vivid pink blossom appears around an enemy. Seiya leaps into the air and impales downward at the enemy in a straight line, sending the blossom's petals scattering every which way with the kanji for "Flower" appearing. (Animation)

DT Only Techniques

• Life Sprinkler: The wielder splits into four forms which all attack an enemy at once in a lengthy sword slashing combo. The combo ends with uppercutting and slamming the enemy onto the ground in a spiral of flames. (Animation)

• FLAAT Katana (Armory item, listed for ease of reference) A retractable carbon nanotube blade with a superheating system capable of cutting through heavy metals in a single slice. Can withstand 6300 kg of pressure.

Weaknesses & Flaws

• NYSTFUD: Carries a strong resentment of her family.
• Lost in the Fight: Loves nothing more than a good fight, and will go out of her way to take opportunities for challenges as they arise.
• Devil: Weak to holy and anti-demon attacks. Even minor ones can leave her stunned.
• Weapon Attachment: To break Seiya's spear is to break her.
• Isolated Upbringing (1): You were raised in your supernatural society, or were somehow otherwise sequestered away from "normal" life, so you have trouble dealing with this Outside-World thing. Dealing with any community outside the one in which you were raised raises a -1 Penalty on Social rolls, when RPing accommodates it.
