The Dragon Clan were the first ninja in the Rankai Lands. They were reputed and feared all throughout, but they were disposed of by Emperor Wakamoto.

History
The word 'Ninja' in the Rankai Lands comes from the Dragon Clan. The precepts of Ninjutsu, Genjutsu and Taijutsu were founded by them, warriors and spies using mystical and physical techniques, and occasionally magic, to accomplish missions and duties, were all created by the Dragon Clan.
