Appearance
Fair, lean, and tall, Matsumi is most famous for wearing large coats, and her stoic face. She has sharp features and thick, jet black hair. She has changed hair hairstyle over the years, letting it grow out fuller, and cutting it to shoulder length.
Personality
Reserved, Quiet, and Calculating, Matsumi rarely reveals what she's feeling to others. She usually comes off as aloof and cold to those that don't know her very well.
Background
Matsumi's childhood was relatively rootless. Her father had become the body guard of the Jurai Royal Family, and this meant lots of travel at a very young age. Home schooled by her mother, and trained rigorously by her father, Matsumi never felt comfortable around many people, this lead her to be a shy, withdrawn child. During this time, her father had taken the young prince, Kouji Masaki Jurai, as a student, and for a few years they developed a childhood friendship. Matsumi also became acquainted with Izumi Saotome, the daughter of Misao's friend Yuffie Kisaragi.
At the age of 15, Matsumi set out on her own, eager to prove herself to the world. She reasoned the best place to do this was the place her parents held countless adventures of their own, Castle Nabiki. Upon her arrival, she found a new generation of children had been drawn to their parents former home. There, she became reunited with Izumi Saotome, and Kouji Masaki Jurai. Matsumi, naturally aloof, cool, and emotionally guarded, began working with with the sunny, cheerful and energetic Izumi Saotome. Over time, Izumi became Matsumi's closest friend, as she found comfort in Izumi's opposite personality. Matsumi also had a mischievous streak in her, she had always enjoyed the art of theft, and often got herself into trouble getting her fingers on things she shouldn't.

Special Abilities
- Onmyo Kosa: (Shadow-Light Cross) Matsumi blocks an enemies striking weapon with one kodachi, then strikes it with the second kodachi, thrusting the first one through.
- Jissen Kenbu: (Actual-Battle Sword-Dance) Combo attack using "Ryusui no Ugoki" to flow around the enemy, confusing them with a constant change in speed. Matsumi will then strike from various points, slashing them with her kodachi, then ending it with "Kaiten Kenbu".
- Kaiten Kenbu Rokuren: ("Spinning-Heavenly Sword-Dance Six-Series" or "The Dance Of The Wheeling Sword Six Successions") This attack is Aoshi's ougi. The attack involves Matsumi gripping her kodachi backhand, then slashing the opponent six times in rapid succession, an upgrade from Kaiten Kenbu made possible by the use of two kodachi, from both sides. In the anime, Shishio claims that the move relies on confusing the opponent.
- Onmyo Hasshi: (Dusk to Dawn Strike) Matsumi throws both kodachi at the opponent, hitting the end of the first one with the second one for an extra boost. The second kodachi is hidden directly behind the first, so the opponent would only see one kodachi heading for them in their line of sight.
- Goko Juji: (Yin-Yang Cross) Aoshi crosses the two kodachi and moves them outwards in a scissor-like cut.
- Ryusui no Ugoki: (Flowing-Water Movement) This is moving technique where Aoshi moves around silently, rapidly alternating between fast and slow movements and confusing the opponent due to the fluid motion & continuously changing speed. It can be countered by watching for the moment the user attempts to strike.

Flaws
- Curiosity (2): Your incredible curiosity often overrides your common sense. Resisting temptation requires a successful Wits roll, difficulty depending on the situation. A very bad flaw to take with certain evil sadistic Storytellers. A 3-point version in Bastet makes you obsessed with any mystery you come across, and you'll do anything to solve it.
- Isolated Upbringing (1): You were raised in your supernatural society, or were somehow otherwise sequestered away from "normal" life, so you have trouble dealing with this Outside-World thing. Dealing with any community outside the one in which you were raised adds 1 to social difficulties.
