Special Abilities

High Science: Edgar's pedigree and natural aptitude for learning and refusal to be second best have gifted him with an incredible thirst for knowledge. He's considered a super-genius level intellect and can attune himself to new and unfamiliar electronics and computers often seamlessly.
Firearms Training: Edgar has a fondness for small arms and sidearms he can easily carry with his business suit, and has been trained in using them, likely to spite his father.

Corporate CEO (5): You are the head or otherwise have heavy influence in a major corporation, and have access to the social and economic benefits that implies. This is HUGE. Like. Ridiculously huge. GMs should monitor this like it might catch on fire. (Edgar Shinra has great power as a heir to Shinra Inc.)

Shinra Absolution - A veritable armory in one battle suit, the Shinra Absolution (named after his former self-styled unit) uses an incredible amount of utility and firepower at the user's fingertips.

  • "Subtlety 7" - With a snap of his fingers, Edgar can summon his armor to him from a dimensional pocket, forming it around his body and becoming online and operational almost instantly.
  • "Smart" Armor System - Armor can seal itself automatically when there is no oxygen or a chemical agent is present; Edgar can last two hours on the reserve air supply. For the "Smart" Armor System to be properly deployed, the Shinra Absolution suit must already be out and on.
  • Power Armor Liner - Liner shirt with micro energy field projector and two layers of thin ceramic plates. Disperses physical and blast impacts, reducing injuries and likelihood of knockdowns. Added protection and mitigation from fire, acid, intense heat and cold.
  • Shinra ZX Miniature Flamethrower - Creates cone of fire five meters long and one meter in diameter. Weapon holds enough fuel for three minutes of continuous operation.
  • Shinra Consolidated Arms MM9 Mini Concussion Rocket - Computer tracks targets, wrist loadout selects and fires. Edgar carries Type-12A anti-personnel rockets, Type-12B stun rockets (concussive, non-lethal) and Shinra K26 anti-vehicle rockets. Internal magnetic accelerator shoots explosive projectiles up to 25 meters.
  • Shinra DUR-24 Wrist Lasers - Range of 50 meters. As powerful as a blaster rifle.
  • Fibercord Whip with Grappling Device - 20-meter-long fibercord whip. Can be electrified, but not on the same turn it comes out. He can also use this in net form to entangle an enemy (and shock them).
  • Levitation System - Edgar can utilize the Shinra Absolution to fly. It can't go very fast unless it burns a lot of energy cells, in which case it's about as fast as a car on a highway in very short bursts.
  • Energy Field - Edgar can deploy an energy field to block attacks. Can shield others if he's close by.
  • Multi-Tool Access - Edgar can use a holo display and a multi-pronged data jack to directly jack into many many types of consoles if he's physically present.
  • Scan Ray - A diagnostic beam that runs over any target to act like the spell Scan. Can also be used on wounded allies to ascertain what's wrong and what needs to be done.

Items Of Note

Shotgun Cane - Edgar often carries around a walking cane that has the capability of deploying into a sawed off shotgun. Even though it packs a punch, he still one-hands it like his grandfather.

Weaknesses & Flaws

Flaws can go here. Balance is key!
Overconfident (1): You think you can do everything even though you probably can't, and you try to prove your belief as often as possible.
Compulsive Speech (aka Big Mouth) (1): For whatever reason, you have difficulty sticking to the rule, "If you can't say anything nice, don't say it at all." 1 point makes you talkative and a bit blunt; 2 points makes you a complete prick.
Intolerance - Poor People (1): You have difficulty tolerating a specific thing or type of person, and are likely to snap at them and be dismissive.
Twisted Upbringing (mentoring, etc.) (1): Whoever taught you the ways of your people gave you an incredibly skewed version of those ways, and your faulty beliefs can get you in big trouble... You REALLY should come up with a few actual major flaws on your world view, not just pop them in randomly, as this makes for less of a tragic, very screwed over character and more the proverbial Fishmalk or Schitzophrenic idiot with no sense of IC.
Notoriety (Shinra/Absolution Member) (3): You did something, or at least others think you did, that is frowned upon by your peers and elders. -2 Penalty on Social rolls with your personal group.
