These are the special devices PARADIGM agents have gotten on missions or have access to on a permanent basis.

PARADIGM Exclusives

These weapons were designed by and for PARADIGM agents for on-field use and sometimes very specific reasons.

The Zwi Death Ray

BEHOLD, THE ZWI!!!

Appearance: The Zwi Death Ray has an odd design, looking like a science fiction weapon. It was designed for function and not form, based partially on The Dinosaur Empire's actual Zwi super weapon, partially on the other scientists' ideas. It is linked to a power system which can be either worn with a power cord connecting them, or a single battery.
Type: Semi-long range energy weapon, molecular destabilizer, Death Ray.
Abilities: The Zwi fires a powerful stream of energy, which encapsulates a target in a field of its own. Within this field, the molecular bonds are dissolved, forcing the target to be disintegrated, as all of its individual atoms split off into the ether. The weapon needs to be fired at relatively close range, preferably on an immobile target, because for a beam-based weapon, it is neither especially fast nor subtle. Note that it is at least as fast as a bullet, but for most enemies the Zwi will be necessary against, bullets are most likely not THAT fast.
Specifications:

  • Ammo/Power Source: Powered by a Palladium battery, capable of three full power shots. A dual battery is possible, if used on a power cord, but only for one Zwi at a time, allowing for 6 shots.
  • Range: 500 feet, after which the weapon's energy grows less and less powerful. Over 500 feet, the effect is not as grand, and after 600 feet, it's merely a stun weapon. Past that, it's just warm.
  • Limitations: The Zwi is neither fast nor used for sniping. It is a mid-to-short range weapon, and missing could cause serious damage to anything it hits after missing, like a building's wall or a piece of the street.

Magical Weapons

Weapons of a magical nature, generally with a special purpose/power to them. These can usually only be used by those with the mental and/or physical means to use them.

Gades Blade

Gades Blade.

Appearance: A massively large two-handed sword, with jagged edges to the blade, it's more appropriate to compare it to a battle axe than to a regular sword. The Gades Blade has runes and power channeling symbols distributed through it, and looks like it cannot be broken.
Type: Very heavy two-handed broadsword. It also allows for channeling power.
Powers: The Gades Blade is unbreakable. Period. Furthermore, using the Gades Blade furnishes users some special abilities.

  • Magical Weapon: The Gades Blade counts as a top-end magical weapon. Any being normally unaffected by mundane weapons or low level magic will be affected by the Gades Blade as if it were the most powerful category of enchantment. While magical barriers and protection from damage will still work, supernatural beings normally immune to physical damage CAN be harmed by the Gades Blade. (For comparison, it is like a +6 weapon in AD&D, able to hit even higher and lower beings, and can even hit intangible enemies, but spells like Protect and Force Field still can blunt or neutralize its damage.)
  • Inner Power: Octo-Slash: When an opponent has taken enough damage, they can channel their residual rage and inner power into the Gades Blade, allowing for a powerful eight-time slash, temporarily slashing with the Gades Blade like it weighed nothing, and striking eight times in a single instant. While each strike can be individually blocked, the speed and power of the attack makes it very unlikely that someone can counter all attacks. (Treat as a Limit Break; take enough damage, release Octo-Slash, power down until the damage accumulates again.)
  • Heavy Metal: The Gades Blade is unbearably heavy. Using it will require some level of physical strength, and will slow down the wielder. This having been said, it magically strikes like a truck. The Gades Blade is just impossibly strong, allowing to damage even creatures much larger than the user, such as Dragons and Giants. Anyone using the Gades Blade is able to deliver damage on a high-scale, but first, they need to be able to use it. No one without super human strength can use the blade without using both hands, and it is impossible to use while using another weapon.
  • Power Channel: Someone able to use their personal energy (read: Ki, Chakra, Haki, Nen, Aura..) can use it through the blade to enhance its already phenomenal power. With enough spare energy, a user could be able to use the following move. At the base, this allows for the blade to deliver shockwaves on impact, making it harder to avoid and more destructive on contact, but it costs a fair bit of personal energy.
    • Destruction Wave: The most powerful use of the Gades Blade, though technically, its owner is required. If the user can somehow build up enough inner power to channel through the blade, they can release a Destruction Wave, which is an unseemly powerful slash, capable of bringing down an entire town in a single strike. The downside is this power is exclusively for use from Gades. It would take at least five very high level humans, or ten regularly powerful humans who can channel their energy into the blade to generate this kind of power. Any less will drain themselves entirely and produce a much weaker version. A single user can opt to use Destruction Wave in lieu of Octo-Slash, but the power will be considerably less than Gades' version (think of a Super move from a fighting game), and they have a rather good chance of dying unless they have unlimited energy. Unlocking the Destruction Wave is basically suicide to any mortal, as it is meant to be used by Gods and Super-Beings.

Chikage Katana

Foreign-made weapon wielded by the royal guards who protect Annalise, Queen of the Vilebloods at Cainhurst Castle. When the intricate, rippled engraving that spans the Chikage's blade is imbrued with blood, the sword sings in scarlet hues. However, the rite eats away at the wielder's very essence. The Chikage's cursed enchantments allow it to damage supernatural entities, as well as manage to bypass several defenses they or others may have.

  • Cursed: The Chikage tired out whoever uses it in exchange for considerable power boosts. Even a normal human using the Chikage could do incredible damage to physically superhuman entities.
  • Toxic: The Chikage is a poisonous blade, attacking the blood of whoever it strikes. This causes them to rot from the inside out for a certain time, renewed with each strike. This can even affect undead, provided they have blood to infect.
  • Transformation: The Chikage, if used two handed, glows with additional power, and can deliver incredibly fast, incredibly devastating slashes, for a considerable cost to the user's life energy. Doing it too fast in quick succession can lead to death, as if the sword drained the user's blood entirely. However, the blade glows with an elongated red aura, and strikes noticeably further than a regular slash. Usually used with an quick draw strike.

Logarius' Wheel

Weapon wielded by martyr Logarius' band of executioners. Used to slaughter the Vilebloods in Cainhurst. Bathed in pools of their blood, and forever steeped in their ire. Transform it to release the power of the wheel and manifest their lingering rage in a show of utter brilliance. The Logarius' wheel is a blessed weapon which is used by executioners to dispose of Vileblood monsters. It has been sanctified and blessed by the church to deliver divine punishment to those creatures with more corrupt blood than others. Vile (Extra dimensional, demonic) beings are especially affected by it. But it is a wheel, and hard to use as a hand weapon.

  • Blessed: Logarius' Wheel does Holy damage, and is especially effective against Demons and Otherworlders.
  • Bonding: Logarius' Wheel is stronger when used by a stronger being. While this is relatively obvious, it is more effective in the hands of a powerful warrior or priest than in the hands of a non-superhuman opponent, and will be able to deal with the added strain on its form.
  • Sanctified Logarius' Wheel is able to be used by supernatural creatures, but devils and their kin are unable to wield it properly. The benefits of the weapon do not apply to them.

For more information, refer to Logarius' Wheel.

Devil Arms

These weapons were created from Hymns gathered from the Host, and Rodin made weapons out of the Devils that came for them.

Inspector Stansfield

Inspector Standsfield

Appearance: Inspector Stansfield is a very stylized pure white Mateba Revolver, with a 6 bullet chamber barrel and engravings on the sides and on the grip. It looks very unwieldy and is surprisingly effective for someone who knows how to shoot. It is currently unaligned.
Type: Long range high powered handgun.
Powers: As with all devil weapons, it has unlimited ammo, but needs a bit of cooldown after firing six times, which is probably good because it kicks back like a mule. The Inspector Stansfield is a little moody, and can backfire relatively frequently. However, it's advantages outweigh the possible drawbacks. Every time it's fired, roll a D6, with one of the following effects happening.

  • Roll of 1: The user is berserked, and will keep shooting (with no magical effects) into his targets even after they're dead, over and over, ranting about a slight, real or imagined, until talked down, which can only happen during the 'cooldown' after the sixth shot.
  • Roll of 2: All six bullets are fired and hit the target in a single shot, immediately entering cooldown but hitting with the force of a truck and causing immense damage to the enemy.
  • Roll of 3: Bullet explodes into the target, causing extra damage and usually stunning them. Will regularily bypass armor.
  • Roll of 4: Boom, Head shot. The bullet, no matter what it was aimed at, will hit square between the eyes of the target, or the closest equivalent to, with everything that implies.
  • Roll of 5: Bullets become empowered, each firing from one of the classic elements, going through the cycle of Earth, Fire, Wind, Water, Thunder and Void, in that order. Obviously if 'cooldown' is hit before the 6 shots are fired, the gun returns to normal.
  • Roll of 6: Dead Man's Click. Gun is empty. Enters 'cooldown' immediately.

Tristan and Isolde

Tristan & Isolde (on top)

Appearance: A pair of fans which can be linked together by a chain into makeshift nunchaku, or can be used separately as twin weapons or throwing weapons.
Type: All-range melee weapons.
Powers: Tristan is the agressive male fan, and can be used to attack the enemy, with powerful wind gusts and blade-like vaccuum strikes. Isolde is the more passive female fan, whose attacks do almost no damage, mostly distracting, until the user is done and then snaps the fan shut, immediately hitting with a delayed reaction with phenomenal impact. However, to use the secondary ability of Isolde she must be separate from Tristan's attacks. Both can be used as throwing weapons which will return to their owner's hand.

  • Tristan:
    • Sword of Purity: Moving Tristan incredibly fast in a direction then snapping it shut, letting a powerful vaccuum blade fly out. Can be done in rapid succession.
  • Isolde:
    • Guardian of the Hearth: Staying perfectly defensive, Isolde can catch physical enemy attacks. However, even trying to counterattack or dodge causes it to revert back to it's more passive form and cancels out the pinpoint defense it has. The speed of the user is irrelevant, Isolde can block it.
  • Tristan and Isolde:
    • Doomed Romance: Bringing both fans together, literally touching them and opening them will join them by a mystical chain, and then it can be thrown at the enemy. If it ensnares the enemy, the fans wrap around them and choose death together, exploding with incredible force, directly on the enemy, usually killing them, before returning to the user, inert for a minute.

Achilles

Achilles, the invulnerable shield.

Appearance: Shield, perfectly round, can expand to cover the whole body from the inside.
Type: Protection, short range shield with some ranged capabilities.
Powers: Achilles is a protection-type Devil Arm. Whatever direction Achilles is aimed at will be immune to damage, literally redirecting the impact. Its sides are also razor sharp, so a warrior can use it as an aggressive short range weapon as well.

  • Round Trip: The user can throw Achilles, slashing or slamming into enemies from afar, and have it return to his hand. Before this mighty shield, all enemies must yield.
  • Severing the Chains: Jamming Achilles into an enemy, the user can make it expand and spin, cutting into the enemy like a buzzsaw, complete with reving noises.
  • Air Hike: The user can drop Achilles in mid air, jump on it, and have it return to his hand in the same time, allowing for two mid-air jumps.

Shen Gong Wu

Mantis Flip Coin
Two Ton Tunic

The 'Godly Tools' Grand Master Dashi used in his battles with the Heylin Witch Wuya, the Shen Gong Wu are objects anyone can use to allow them to perform great feats.

Mantis Flip Coin

This Shen Gong Wu greatly increases its user's jumping abilities, and allows them to jump and flip with extreme height and skill.

Two Ton Tunic

When activated the tunic becomes a massively heavy cuirass. It is said to be invulnerable, though it is extremely cumbersome and those without enhanced strength may find it difficult to move while wearing it.

Star Hanabi

When this Shen Gong Wu is activated, it shoots a jet of fire at a target from the gem in the center. It also has the ability to light dark places and glide over fire. It can be combined with the Sword of the Storm to create a firestorm.

Fist of Tebigong

When worn and activated, this Shen Gong Wu lets the user strike with extreme force, able to easily shatter rock and crush many common metals. When used by someone with Earth Elemental attributes, it's power is magnified even more.

Sword of the Storm

When this Shen Gong Wu is activated, the user can create powerful gusts of wind by swiping or moving the blade in a circular motion to create a tornado. The Two-Ton Tunic was the only thing known that could protect an opponent from the blasts, being too heavy to lift, however when used by someone with Wind Elemental abilities, it could be lifted up easily along with the user. It can be combined with the Star Hanabi to create a Firestorm.

Special Gear

This gear is special equipment, which is generally unassigned and can be used for missions by agents who feel they need it. These come from various sources, and are usually very powerful or notable.

Healing Potion (x1): Single green glowing potion, currently in the Epoch room for anyone to use on an out-going mission.

Selene's Light

Selene's Light.

Description: An ancient brace crafted by the Egyptian witch Cleopatra. When it's wearing is attacked, Witch Time will be instantly triggered, expending Magical Power. As leader of the Egyptian practitioners of magic, Cleopatra developed this guard to assist those who had trouble grasping the finer points of Witch Time.
Activation: Activated when struck by an enemy.
Effect: Whenever the user takes a hit, roll 1d6. On a roll of 6, an afterimage forms and takes the damage for the user, leaving them unharmed and not even slowed down. This said, this is only for instant attacks, not AOE or continuous hits.

Dark Specter Bat Suit

Dark Specter Batsuit.

Description: The Dark Specter Batsuit is an Iconic Battle Suit Style set for Tech-based Heroes. Bestowed upon his "Agents of the Bat", this batsuit allows the wearer to carry and enforce the influence that Batman's image has over the criminal underworld.
Characteristics: The Dark Specter Batsuit is made of Waynetech Nanoweave technology, allowing maximum flexibility and versatility when in use. It also has a neural interface and top of the line sensors lining the armour. This allows the wearer to actually modify its appearance to one more suited to his own, if he does not want to carry the mantle of the Bat.
More specifically, the armour's chest, leg, shoulders and back area are well armoured ands the nanoweave actually provides ballistic, thermal and kinetic resistances, basically acting like a full body bulletproof vest, increasing the wearer's ability to take hits.
Advantages: The Dark Specter Batsuit is hyper flexible and the nanoweave and neural networking make up for human foilibles. Wearing it will grant its wearer enhanced agility and light reflection, the sensors warning when too much light is on the costumes and helping to adjust for falls, wind and any other variables. (Game Terms: Athletics +1, Stealth +1)
The Batsuit also comes with Detective Vision, as nicknamed by Nightwing, which allows the user to turn into every different spectrum of light, allowing to see heat signatures, find traces, and with the proper information, track specific chemicals, scents and other types of trails (When Detective Vision is on, Investigation difficulties are lowered by 1).

Bottle Gnomes

Bottle Gnomes

Quantity: 3
Description: One foot tall, self-powered and sustaining clockwork soldiers. Able to fight with pikes, halberds or spears. Extensive knowledge of feudal combat. Generally obedient and skilled at performing basic tasks. When not called upon to perform any tasks, enjoy standing at attention and natural light. Each Gnome has a detachable head and a glass sphere for a stomach, filled with a blue liquid.
Medicinal: In an emergency, the head of a Bottle Gnome can be removed, allowing access to the powerful healing liquid inside, capable of instantly healing significant damage, or potentially stabilizing a critically wounded individual. As the liquid also maintains the Gnome's systems, draining it leaves the gnome inert.

Psyga Driver

Kamen Rider Psyga
Psyga w/Flying Attacker

Description: The Psyga Driver, like the other Emperor's Belts, is a combination belt and phone system that transforms the wearer into a powerful Kamen Rider with an array of weapon systems. Also like the Emperor's Belts, it is only technically usable by Orphnochs but scientists in the belt's world of origins have a relatively simple way around that, through an injection that fools the belt for as long as the injection lasts.
Activation: To transform into Kamen Rider Psyga, one would dial 3-5-1 into the phone and hit send. They would then close the phone and insert it vertically into the slot onto the belt, rotating it down until it snaps into place. The manual doesn't mention shouting "Henshin!" but...
Abilities: While the system is active, the wearer is capable of great feats of strength with punch and kick strike forces measuring in the tons and covered in armor capable of taking the same forces. The Psyga Phone (like all other Driver Phones) can be converted to a gun, in this case by dialing 1-0-3 for single shots and 1-0-6- for burst fire. 2-7-9 and a five second wait recharges the phone's gun mode.
Additional Weapons: The Flying Attacker is a summonable, detachable back pack flight unit, controlled through two grips jutting forward past the wearer's midriff. Either side of the backpack unit contains a retractable photon gun that extends out parallel to the control sticks, called Blaster Rifle Mode, and are aimed as such. They can be used in Single Mode, where they fire at about 120 rounds per second or in Burst Mode where it fires single large scale blasts instead. The Flying Attacker can hover and fry freely and can in short bursts achieve great speeds, facilitating the finishing strikes of Cobalt Smash (rocket propelled Rider Kick) and Sky Impact (rocket assisted super punch), via Exceed Charge (Enter on the Phone). Lastly are the twin Psyga Tonfa Edge weapons, which double as the control grips for the Flying Attacker. The highly energized striking surfaces pack quite a wallop, rivaling Faiz's Faiz Edge sword. With Exceed Charge they become incredibly powerful for a moment, facilitating the Psyga Slash attack.

Orga Driver

Kamen Rider Orga
Orga Stlanzer

Description: The Orga Driver is of the same series as the Faiz and Psyga Drivers and ergo is a combination of a phone-like central unit and a belt. The same restrictions and provisos on the Psyga Driver's use exist for the Orga Driver.
Activation: To transform into Kamen Ride Orga, one would dial 0-0-0 into the phone and hit send. Then they would close the phone and insert it vertically into the slot on the belt, rotating it down until it snaps into place. If you're feeling cool you can monotone out a "henshin..." while looking your opponent dead in the eye.
Abilities: Lacking in Psyga's agility and speed, Orga makes up for it in spades with brute strength and toughness, making it arguably the strongest of the five Smart Brain rider systems (the Kaixa Driver provides competition for this spot). The Orga Phone, like all the other phones, can be converted into a pistol by dialing 1-0-3 for Single Mode and 1-0-6 for Burst Mode. 2-7-9 will recharge this feature.
Additional Weapons: Orga's main weapon is a long sword called the Orga Stlanzer. The weapon has two configurations, Dagger Mode and Long Sword Mode. In Dagger Mode the blade is retracted and the weapon doubles as a powerful blaster. In Long Sword Mode, the blade is fully extended and can be Exceed Charged for the "Orga Slash" attack, where energy wraps around the weapon creating an energy blade of incredible size over the main blade for a single attack. Orga can also use Exceed Charge for a rider kick attack. This ability is called the "Emperor Smash."
