Appearance

Shokara is a giant standing at a staggering 8'2", and has the muscles to match. His musculature is developed to an almost unnatural level, making him quite intimidating and almost monstrous at first glance. His limbs also seem slightly propotionately bigger than normal, more than likely due to his gigantism. His face, despite scarring, is tender-looking and has golden yellow eyes. His hair is aqua colored and extremely long, tied in three places, going down to his legs. He wears the traditional Suna Jounin ninja head wrappings and jacket; however, he also wears a suit of armor specially made by the Ginoka clan of Konoha, the Village Hidden in the Leaves. It's a blue, form fitting bodysuit with metal armor plating padded into it, the plates are lined with rubber to help insulate from electricity based attacks. Shokara felt this was wise to use when he decided to finally take advantage of his physical strength during his Jounin ninja training.

Personality

Shokara is a kind and cheerful person overall. He enjoys the simple and peaceful pleasures of the outside and working on his vegetable, herb, and flower gardens. He can sometimes tend to be a bit prudish, causing him to fluster a little in the presence of some of his more hedonistic companions.

Background

He was born and raised in Suna, the Village Hidden in the Sands, after his father, Ibiki Morino, transfered there and met his eventual wife Naoko. Saddly, Naoko died after complications in Shokara's birth, leaving Morino to raise his son alone. If that wasn't hard enough, a new problem began to grow as Shokara grew and grew and grew. It wasn't long at all before everyone realized that Shokara had been born with a form of gigantism, making him far taller and bigger than all the other kids. This became the target of their many ignorant taunts and mistreatments. And as cruel as ignorant children can be, training sessions with them often lead to nasty injuries for him, leaving him a body mapped with scars, a testament of the world that shunned him. This caused Shokara to put up a barrier around himself to almost everyone, disconnecting himself from other people in fear of being made fun of. When his own kind wouldn't accept him he turned to the world of nature to find his sense of belonging, finding peace in the outdoors among flora and fauna whom would never judge him by his size. So much did he come to love nature that it affected how he wished to train as a ninja, learning great skills in outdoor survival, making potions and other such things from herbs and other plants. His life turned around when he was transfered to Konoha, the Village Hidden in the Leaves, finding the whole village welcoming him and not judging him by his unnatural size. This caused him to open up to people in a way he never had before, going from detatched and introverted to open and outgoing.

Physical Skills:

• Alertness Incredible. As a Jounin level ninja, he can react to changing situations with almost split second timing.
• Athletics Incredible. Has decent moves and reaction time in hand to hand fighting, but is also a phenomenal swimmer thanks to his physical strength. Most impressive is his jumping ability, enabling him to clear almost a kilometer in one leap.
• Stealth Amazing. Has a special jutsu that completely masks his presence from all five senses, making seemingly wink out of existence. Only those with super enhanced senses can spot his presence if they concentrate.

Social Skills:

• Subterfuge Very Good. He's a Jounin class ninja, so he needs to be.
• Streetwise Abyssmal. He's a newcomer in modern Japan from a very low-tech, underdeveloped world.
• Intimidation Incredible. He's almost as big as the Hulk, and he can punch a car over. Yeah...
• Leadership Very Good. Has decent leadership skills since that's a required trait of the Jounin rank of ninjas in his world.
• Expression Good. For many years he was mute due to a throat injury, so he had to learn to be expressive both facially and body language.
• Ettiquette Good. He's not a master of the manners of elite high society, but he's very polite and tries to be personable and approachable.
• Performance Abyssmal. He can whistle, but that's about it. =p

Mental Skills:

• Computers Abyssmal. It's unknown whether computers exist in the Naruto world, but creator Kishimoto stated if they do they'd only be 8 bit machines, very primitive.
• Investigation Very Good. Jounin level ninja need to be able investigate scenes and track down people that want to stay hidden, although investigating things that involve modern technology or other aspects of the culture of modern Japan may confuse him with his lack of knowledge of them.
• Medicine Good. He's no doctor, but he can provide first aid on the field and provide medicines made from flora to help injuries, counteract poisons, etc. for survival out in the wilderness.
• Law Novice. Knows very little about the laws of modern Japan and how they work in society.
• Occult Novice. Knows of demons, spirits, and such, but never really trained in how to deal with such things.
• Politics Abyssmal. He's a soldier, not a politician.
• Science Novice. Although scientific knowledge exists in the Naruto world it's very low tech and not really emphasized much.

Henge no Jutsu - Transformation Technique Rank: E Henge no Jutsu is the basic skill a ninja must know to become a Genin. It is a very useful and widely used skill in the series, as it has many uses. It's mostly used as a decoy, to confuse the opponent by transforming into somebody that's an ally with the enemy.

Kawarimi no Jutsu - Change of Body Stance Technique Rank: E The Body Substitute skill is a widely used and very famous skill among shinobis. Put simply, the user uses speed to his/her advantage, and grabs an item from the environment and places it on his/her current position while moving out of the way.

Kakuremino no Jutsu - Cloak of Invisibility Technique Rank: E Kakuremino no Jutsu is the technique ninjas use to follow their targets covertly. The manner in which the ninja shadows their target can differ, from the basic hiding under a nearby object, to using a jutsu to turn oneself invisible.

Nawanuke no Jutsu - Escaping Skill Rank: E Nawanuke no Jutsu is a very basic Ninjutsu technique that allows a ninja to escape from rope binds.

Shunshin no Jutsu - Body Flicker Technique Rank: D Shunshin no Jutsu is a basic Ninjutsu technique. The ninja will appear and disappear in an instant, allowing them to retreat or attack suddenly. To facilitate the movement the ninja will often use nearby elements such as mist, sand or leaves to mask their appearance or disappearance.

Houshou - A Taijutsu technique where the ninja palm strikes their enemy, hurling them away. With impressive strength, this technique could be quite devastating.

Shougekishou - A Taijutsu technique where the ninja lifts up their opponent with one arm, retracts, and then drives their palm upward into their opponent, hurling them into the air. With impressive strength, this technique could be quite devastating.

Shoushitsu - A Taijutsu technique where the ninja braces against the ground and drives a powerful knee into their enemy, hurling them away. With impressive strength, this technique can be devastating.

Tokken - A Taijutsu technique where the ninja shoulder charges their enemy, driving them away or even into something stable. With impressive strength, this technique can be quite devastating.

Atsu Shou - Pressure Palm A Taijutsu technique where the ninja drives their fist into their opponent while they are on the ground, crushing them and grinding them into the earth. With impressive strength, this technique could be quite devastating.

Gan Geki - Boulder Attack A Powerful Taijutsu in which the user strikes with the full strength of his fist, putting his weight and, if possible, superhuman might behind the attack.

Grand Applause: A Taijutsu move where the user slaps their hands together with all his/her might, the resulting impact creating a shockwave that knocks over almost anything within tens of feet. This can only be used by those with "Amazing" physical strength. (Basically think the Hulk's shockwave clap.)

-NINJUTSU:

Kinobori no Waza - Act of Tree Climbing Rank: Unknown Kinobori no Waza, the art of tree climbing serves a dual purpose. Taking part in Kinobori Shugyou (Tree Climbing Training) helps a ninja learn how to focus their chakra. It also teaches the ninja how to run up trees and walk on vertical walls. The training helps the ninja learn how to focus just the right amount of chakra to a particular part of their body. The amount needed to climb is small but it must be precise. The feet are regarded as the hardest location to master chakra focusing. So by gaining the art of this skill, the ninja will have any jutsu available (theoretically) because they will be able to focus their chakra as needed.

Suimen Hokou no Waza - Act of Water Surface Walking A variation on the Kinobori no Waza (Act of Tree Climbing), the art of water surface walking allows a ninja to walk on water as if it was a solid surface. Focusing an even amount of chakra out of the soles of their feet, they can balance themselves on the very surface of the water.

Kai - Release Rank: Unknown (Higher level) A Ninjutsu technique where the ninja focuses their chakra and screams "kai" or "release." They can perform it on themselves or on others. It will effectively ward off most Genjutsu, unless extremely powerful or when used in conjunction with an advanced bloodline.

Meisai Gakure no Jutsu - Camouflage Concealment Technique Rank: A This jutsu renders the user invisible. It also masks the user's scent to some degree, making it more difficult to locate them. While normal people can't see through it, those with abilities such as the Sharingan and the Byakugan can. Additionally, creatures with enhanced senses of smell (insects or dogs) can pick up on the user's reduced scent.

Bunshin no Jutsu - Body Double Technique (Clone Jutsu) Rank: E This technique must be mastered by any ninja who has graduated from the Academy at the Hidden Leaf Village. It's the most basic technique a Genin must know, since it can be a real lifesaver. This ninjutsu creates a shadow clone of the caster.

Kanashibari no Jutsu - Temporary Body Paralysis Technique Rank: D A Ninjutsu technique where the ninja stares down their opponent, causing them to become completely frozen in their tracks. Perfect for escaping a dire situation, or for stalling a target in an assassination.

Kontserun Henge no Jutsu - Multiple Transformation Technique Rank: D A Ninjutsu technique where two or more people can use the average Henge no Jutsu (Transformation Technique) together, making two people to appear as one person, possibly by riding "piggyback."

Konbi Henge - Combination Transformation Rank: B An advanced form of the Transformation Technique, the Combination Transformation transforms two users into one being. One user usually provides the chakra while the other performs the necessary hand seals. Naruto uses this with Gamabunta in their fight against Gaara's full Shukaku form to assume the appearance of a giant fox (the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox in the anime). Kiba and Akamaru created their own variation of this technique with the Man Beast Combination Transformation: Double-Headed Wolf. The Sound Four used this during the Chunin Exam arc to disguise themselves as the Fourth Kazekage's Bodyguards (two in each).

--ELEMENTAL JUTSU:

Doton: Doroku Gaeshi - Earth Release: Earth Shore Return Rank: C A Doton (earth type) Ninjutsu technique where the ninja digs into the ground beneath them and tears up a solid wall of dirt and rock. The shield of earth is held together by the ninja's chakra and is meant to take the driving force of a physical attack.

Doton: Retsudo Denshou - Revolving Split Earth Palm Rank: C Doton • Retsudo Tenshou is a Ninjutsu technique utilizing the Earth Element. This technique allows the ninja to control nearby stone and rock. When the ninja forms the needed handseals and slams their palm to the ground, surrounding rock will begin to churn and twist up crushing all those trapped within it.

Doton: Moguragakure no Jutsu - Earth Release: Hiding Like a Mole Technique Rank: C This technique changes earth into fine sand by channeling chakra into it, allowing the user to dig through it like a mole. While underground, one can sense what is happening on the surface and use that information to launch a surprise attack on the enemy. One can also hide deep in the ground, escaping to a depth where the enemy can't reach. Tobi used this attack to hide some Exploding Clay underground. Deidara used this technique to escape damage of one of his exploding suicide clones in the fight against Team Guy, and Team Kakashi.

Earth Style, Titan's Grasp: An earth jutsu where the ground upheaves on all sides of the opponent, grabbing and holding (perhaps potentially crushing) the opponent with giant spires of solid rock. This is especially effective as a way to immobilize the opponent so that they may be finished off by another devastating attack.

Katon: Endan - Fire Release: Flame Bullet Rank: C This jutsu resembles the Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique, but more of a stream than a ball. The user gathers oil in their mouth, spits it out, and ignites it, sending a streaming fireball to the enemy.

Katon: Goukakyuu no Jutsu - Fire Release: Great Fireball Art Rank: C This Ninjutsu is a very powerful technique, and most Genins are not capable of performing it due to the large amount of chakra it uses. The user must first gather a large amount of chakra in his hand and mouth; this attack is pretty similar to a flamethrower.

Fire Style, Shenlong's Breath: A fire jutsu where the user breaths out a jet of flame so hot that it's actually blue and at such a velocity that it can even cause concussive damage, almost as if someone were using a firehose but with lava instead of water. (More or less think Godzilla's breath.)

--FUUIN JUTSU: (Sealing Jutsu)

Bakuretsufuu - Explosion Seal Rank: D A Fuuinjutsu (sealing technique) where a seal is placed upon a piece of paper, creating an effect upon the paper that causes an explosion. These seals can be made in the field, but are more commonly bought by or given to ninjas as equipment, like kunai and shuriken.

-GENJUTSU:

Grand Vanish - A powerful Genjutsu developed by Shokara that affects all five senses; sight, sound, taste, smell, and touch. For a limited amount of time it makes the user seem as if he or she has vanished from existance, leaving behind no trace. Shokara developed this for two special reasons: 1.) When the greatest of stealth is absolutely necessary where a transformation jutsu would be insufficient. 2.) To compensate for his enormous body which would make stealth under normal circumstances extremely difficult if not impossible. This is especially effective when storming enemy grounds and then attacking without warning using his ridiculous physical strength. Only true Genjutsu masters and those with enhanced abilities such as the Sharingan and Byakugan can see through it.

Powers & Merits

Super strength: Shokara's own remarkable special ability is a gift given to him by his gigantism, his emmense strength. This was also another reason why his peers taunted him, out of fear of the poor giant boy's physical power, able to heft objects as heavy as large boulders around and toss them several dozen meters. It's very fortunate that by nature Shokara is not a violent person, otherwise it'd be terrible to imagine what would happen if he let his temper get the better of him.
