Appearance
Mie stands at average height, usually wearing simple, functional clothes, such as jeans with a jacket. She sports a rather curved figure, and goes through periods where she sometimes feel more like hiding her figure than showing it off; often with heavy sweaters. In any case, her pale flesh is spotted with occasional freckles, framed with long pink hair, and accentuated with wide pink eyes. Around her neck is a little lock of what looks to be fur or hair, while her finger nails are always polished a light purple.
Personality
Mie is sweet, gentle, and often bubbly. She’s slow to anger, and even slower to complain. It’s not often to see her without a smile. She rather enjoys cooking for others, though she often does not use enough meat in her dishes to satisfy all flavor palettes. She often sings to herself, both when alone or her gentle hum when around company. She’s also prone to giving hugs, so take that for what you will. Sometimes bashful, she doesn't take compliments well, though she's prone to giving many of them to other people.
Background
Mie was born into the world of Little Garden, a land where humans, non-humans, and demons live together in organized communities alongside deities of myth and legend. One could easily say that Mie’s childhood was a bit exciting in such a land, though to Mie herself, she mostly recalls helping with hard chores as a child. Little Garden had many wondrous things, but communities still needed to drum out a living through farming.
Still, Mie was born with the wonderful ability to speak with animals, just like her mother, and that meant that she always had many more friends than most children. But in the world of Little Garden, this led to Mie talking to many animals that for one reason or another usually aren’t so friendly. She learned this the hard way when she tried to ask a passing sea dragon how his day was. Thankfully her strong Uncle Izayoi was watching to take care of the grumpy sea dragon.
Overtime Mie began to find new uses for her gift, such as using birds to deliver messages to her friends via notes on paper she’d attack to said bird’s legs, or to allow her how to ride a horse much easier than most. She was even able to learn how to ask bees to share some honey in exchange for information to flowers the bees didn’t know about, and let me tell you, this made her very popular with the designated honey collectors in her home community.
In an ironic twist of fate, for so too was her mother not a native of the world in which Mie was born, and came to that world looking for a change in her life (and to make new friends), Mie was given an invitation by PARADIGM to become an agent for her diplomatic and information gathering abilities. Since her home was under the protection of many powerful beings at this time, Mie agreed, feeling she could do much good with this change in her life.

Donum Rhetorica: Mie has the ability to talk to, be understood by, and in turn, understand animals, both of the natural world and magical creatures. Through this ability she is able to ask animals questions and, sometimes, ask animals to do favors for her. By no means are animals forced to do as she asks, but through this ability, they often comply if the task is not too taxing or complex. Even if overtly hostile, a creature engaged through this ability will usually pause long enough in surprise of a human talking with them to atleast answer one question. This ability works even on other's trained animal companions or summoned animals contracted by others.
Hypnotic Tone: Mie's sing song voice has an underlaying of magical compulsion to it. When she asks people or animals for a favor, they tend to not hesitate to do so unless the request is something unreasonable or impossible. Asking a giant snake not to eat her and offer said snake a better meal in return is reasonable; Asking the snake to eat itself is not.
Tongues: Mie has the ability to speak fluently any language she has heard audibly once. She is not able to learn a language in this way through reading the language; she must hear it spoken.
Alluring Melody: Mie's singing voice attracts those within earshot to seek out the source of her songs, be it people or animal. Her voice has a supernatural calming effect, that lowers aggression in listeners and stimulates euphoria. If fighting an opponent who's powers come from emotion or anger, this ability may disrupt those powers.

Allergic (3): Mie is deathly allergic to ingesting red meat. Her body lacks the enzymes to digest it properly, causing violent vomiting to occur if swallowed. Because of this, she normally does not eat meat. However, she will cook with it if requested.
Intolerance (1): Mie has little respect for those who show no respect to animals on the basis of animals being non-humanoid. She holds all life to be equal and won't hear of other theories on the matter.
Compulsion (1): Mie will always attempt to talk to any non-human animal, no matter how dangerous they might be, that she comes across.
