Appearance

Human Form
She's an average height human female with a slightly asian look to her appearance. She has long white hair that goes to the middle of her back, and amber colored eyes. Her body is slender and athletic, and she usually dresses in military type garb most of the time. Casually she'll just wear a shirt and pants. She tends to dress in loose clothing for when she shape shifts.
Halfbeast Form
She's closer to six and a half feet tall in this form, with white and black striped furr covering her entire being. She doesn't fully shift like a normal were-tiger would, leaving her in a state of a half transformation.

Personality

She's a very kind hearted and goofy girl most of the time, but is quick to be serious when it comes to combat or a mission at hand. She also tends to laze about and rest in her off time.

Background

Lumina Twilight and her sister Lilith were born as slaves to a human army on an unknown world. Going through multiple experiments and tests, they were forced to learn to fight from the moment they could stand on their feet. Having only each other, they clung to hope to one day escape this cruel fate. They were raised simply to fight with other humans and other weres on the planet they came to simply call 'hell'.

When they reached the age of eighteen in human years, their wish came true. An experiment with cross dimensional technology broke down and tore the planet asunder. Due to their proximity to the device as it went off, they were thrown to another world as their home planet was destroyed utterly and completely. Lumina was separated from her sister, ending up landing on a spaceship that was traveling through dimensions on its own mission.

Being quickly accepted as a stray, she came to call this ship her new home. She always planned on finding her sister, but it took a backseat as she became adjusted to where she was. Given freedom, she ended up joining their cause and becoming a police cadet. She stayed with this ship on its mission for years to come, until the day she found out her sister was in another dimension.

Lumina discovered PARADIGM instead of PARADIGM discovering her, and requested to join the company so she could move more freely to find her sister and have a long awaited reunion with her. Disembarking from her position on the ship, she left with few regrets, only looking forward to the future that awaited her.

Special Abilities

  • Normal Form: Lumina's normal form still comes with its advantages. She has somewhat above human agility and sense of balance, being of the feline nature. Her ears still stick out of the sides of her head, much like a normal persons, but they resemble the ears of a cat more than a human. Her eyes also look feral to a point.
    • Heightened Senses: She has an improved sense of smell and vision. She also has somewhat sharp hearing, but not as well evolved as the other senses are. She can not hear a human's heart beating through a wall a distance away, for example.
  • Halfbeast/Enhanced Form: She can shift into this form to improve her melee combat ability. This grants her super human strength as well as speed and agility. In this form she grows a foot taller, fur sprouting over her body and making her tail come out. Her finger nails turn into cat like claws. This is not a full were shapeshift, as a full were will be even more enhanced than she is. This form burns a lot of metabolism when she is in it, and will leave her feeling severely hungry once it wears off.
    • Enhanced Speed: While enhanced, she is able to move faster, her longer legs making her run faster than a human could hope, as well as jumping further and higher.
    • Enhanced Strength: Her muscles reinforced, she is able to hit things much harder, as well as use her claws to dig in and rip something apart if it comes down to it.

Powers & Merits

  • Nightsight (3): You can see in near-total darkness.
  • Crack Driver (1): +2 Bonus to Driving rolls.
  • Luck (3): You can repeat three failed rolls per mission, one repeat per roll, and the second roll always stands.

Items Of Note

  • Jacket: She has a navy blue jacket that is made of a water resistant leather-like material, lined on the inside against harsh weather. This jacket can be zipped up and goes down to the waist, adorned with inner pockets and is padded at the elbows. This jacket has a patch on it signifying some rank, but it is worn down and has been rendered unreadable.
  • Body Suit: This is a skin tight outfit she wears under her normal clothing, giving her basic protection from harsh weather conditions and some defense against slash and stab attacks. This also protects her, at least for a short duration, from other substances that would otherwise burn her skin. This outfit expands to cover her enhanced form.
  • Body Suit Armor: This armer goes on top of the skin tight body outfit, giving her protection against more incoming damage, such as bullets and small explosives fire and other deadly hazards. This is just an added layer of protection in critical areas over her body for when she is in hostile engagements. This outfit expands to cover her enhanced form.
  • Magnetic Bombs: These are bombs she can either throw or set down, in which they cling to metallic surfaces. They can either detonate on impact or when signaled remotely. These bombs come in the style of fragmentation, white phosphorous and electronic magnetic pulse.
  • Hover Bombs: These are bombs she can throw and then use with a tool built into her gloves to direct the direction and path of movement. These explode either on impact or magnetically cling like the other bombs, waiting for remote detonation. These bombs come in the style of fragmentation, white phosphorous and electronic magnetic pulse.
  • Boots: These boots allow for Lumina to magnetically cling to other surfaces that are made of metal. These boots also have thrusters built into them, allowing her to jump further distances or travel more easily in zero gravity situations. These boots will grow to accommodate her enhanced form, allowing her to fight in either state of being.
  • Visor: This visor govers over her eyes with an attachment to plug into her ears. This accessory gives her the ability to see in different spectrums of light as well as detect different types of gasses and anomalies. The ear accessory works as a comm unit or lets her hear even better than her natural hearing allows.
  • Gloves: These gloves go with her armor and weaponry. The interactive holographic display is on her left wrist for her to manipulate settings for her visor, boots, and weaponry. These gloves also allow her to deliver electric shocks if she manages to hold onto someone, perfect for detaining or giving an unexpected blow. These gloves will grow to accommodate her enhanced form, allowing her to fight in either state of being.
  • Mask: Rarely used, this is kept with her in the case of no oxygen. Yes, it's a oxygen mask with a tank wired in to give her an hour of breathing air in case of emergency.

Varia Gun

The Varia Gun is a handgun featuring semi- and fully-automatic fire, manual and automatic focusing and targeting, plus an in-built computer capable of controlling its operation. It fires a range of specialty ammunition. An in-line gunsight shows the view directly down the barrel. The gun can only be operated by its designated owner, whose palm prints are programmed into the gun's memory. If a non-designated person picks up the weapon, it emits a very powerful, incapacitating shock until dropped.
The gun has a maximum range of up to half a mile and has distinct settings which can be engaged by voice command:
  • Standard - A standard bullet, with identical effects to normal kinetic energy projectile weapons.
  • Heat Seeking - A standard bullet propelled by the unstable element, 'Argon 886'. Heatseeker rounds lock onto the target's heat source, enabling a marshal to target fleeing enemies accurately fire in low-light situations and so forth.
  • Ricochet - A metal bullet coated with rubber. Ricochet rounds can bounce off solid surfaces while retaining enough kinetic energy to penetrate flesh. This enables a marshal to, for example, kill an enemy that is using a human shield, bouncing their shot off a back wall and hitting the target from behind.
  • Incendiary - Capable of setting a marshal's target on fire.
  • Armour Piercing - Armour piercing rounds are extremely dense and contain a more powerful charge for higher muzzle velocity. Useful against cybernetic criminals and armored opponents. When used against human targets, it can travel through multiple targets.
  • High-Explosive (Hi-Ex) - A round containing an amount of extremely concentrated high explosive. Marshals must employ caution when using this extremely dangerous round; the blast caused by the exploding bullets can just as easily harm those firing as the target. Generally used rarely; against crowding attackers or large/dangerous foes.
  • Tracer - A non-damaging round that applies a micro tracking chip to the marshal's target.
  • Flare - A non-damaging round that acts as a signal flare.

Weaknesses & Flaws

  • Curiosity (2): May have to roll to resist being curious depending on the situation.
  • Mistaken Identity (1): People confuse her with her twin sister Lilith Twilight.
  • Nightmares (1): Some bad nightmares may result in -1 on all rolls for that day for her.
