Appearance

A rather delicate flower, Leben looks very much like a porcelain doll... even going as far as wearing frilly dresses and other accessories that would be akin to the Victorian era, though having a somewhat modern edge because she prefers to show her shoulders and a little bit more leg. She has very pale, soft skin, an innocent shy expression. Her hair is worn long and straight, falling down to her mid-back with bangs cut straight across her forehead, she always keeps a lock tied to one side with a soft ribbon. She prefers to wear top hats and when she reads she wears a pair of glasses. On her back, if her hair is ever moved aside, she has a tattoo of a black spider with the Kanji symbol for 'Four' also known as 'Shi' or 'Death'.

Personality

cute, sweet and plays off like she's very child-like or innocent.. but when she's working, she gets serious and cold. She carries around a sense of professionalism when its required, otherwise she seems like an average teenager. Well, okay.. more like one of those really quirky teenagers.

Leben has a sense of loyalty to those she has close to her, willing to risk her own well-being for them. She also has a tenacity to complete her goals or jobs that's almost unheard of. She has many fears and monsters, which is why she sometimes prefers to be on her own, but when around friends she appreciates it.

Background

Younger Leben back when her parents were still alive.

Born from the union of the ex-assassins, Leben was raised fairly normally and lovingly by her parents. She was adored and cared for with love and grew to become a smart striking little lady! As both her parents were very smart individuals (though her mother acted like a retard most of tHE TIME..sorta.. ) Leben inherited her fathers' studiousness in computers..and she pursued THAT..she was really freaking good too. Her father encouraged it, as computers are really neato.. and she eagerly accepted all the knowledge she could get from him. Now.. as her parents are both ex-assassins whom had escaped from a life of crime and evil stuff.. both of them were still precautious of those that could be after them (particularly Takatori, an evil polition dood that both Leben's parents worked for). Leben's parents never EVER brought any of the Takatori stuff up with Leben, but to keep things safe they taught her the basics of how to defend herself if the need should have ever occured. Leben didn't think anything else of it, thinking that it was something normal for her to learn so she LEARNED it and stuff.

Leben devastated, viewing the remains of her parents home.

Then one day, as Leben was walking back home to her parents apartment after spending the evening at the library, an explosion occured at the top floor and MOST definately from the complex area in which her parents were in. Leben gaped in shock and ran to save her parents but unfortunately she was too late. There was nothing left of her parents for her to save. Leben stared in silence as the fire department did their duty and put out the fires and stuff since the place freaking blew UP. Her parents were dead. It was OVER.

After gathering her bearings and well..you know..crying and being upset and everything.. rage entered into Leben's mind. She was furious..whoever did this had to pay. Though..she didn't know the first thing of where to look for whoever had killed her parents. From there, Leben began her hacking career.. trying her damndest to find information on whomever her parents killers were. Eventually her trails lead her to the Genei Ryoudan. Confronting them..she didn't get what she wanted exactly..and she ended up killing one of their group with an outburst of telekinetic power since they tried to get into her mind. Although horrified at first (as she has never killed anyone) she was given an invitation to JOIN up with them and stuff.. Leben wasn't sure what to do, but she knew that with them she could find her parents killers and grow strong enough to be able to take them down.

She worked with them a few years, gaining the alias 'Leben' as her mothers name was 'Tot'....she wanted to be linked to her in some way. (tot is death, leben is life ...and she knew that her parents wanted to have a new life through her). Her skills were extra-ordinary and her qualms with killing people was quickly subdued as everyone ELSE was killing and it seemed like a normal thing. The time then came for Leben to move on.. though she felt her skills were definitely much better than when she had first joined, she needed to get out there and find the question burning inside her mind about her parents. Shiroku, a fellow Genei Ryoudan, was leaving on his own and had asked her to come along with him. Needing to get out and invistage on her own, she accepted his offer and..well HERE she COMES NOW.

Powers & Merits

Telekinesis: Leben has the ability to use forceblasts with her mind as well as move objects and stop them. She does not have THAT great of a telekinetic power, however, if somehow someone tries to get into her mind, or she undergoes SEVERE trauma, Leben has the potential to unlock her telekinesis power and do something devastating.. like knocking people through walls.. exploding a building.. etc etc.

Psychometry: Leben has the ability to touch objects and learn information about who was last using them, what was going on and get mental flashbacks.

Precognition: Often confusing them as nightmares, sometimes Leben has the ability to dream up things that are happening presently or in the future.

Telepathy: Very minor, but Leben can speak to another individual through her thoughts and feel peoples feelings.

Astral Projection: the ability to leave one's own body. The soul is attached to the body by a long silvery cord that exists in the Spirit World, and can be cut. If it is cut, the soul is lost in the Spirit World. While in this state, the body is in a coma-like rest, and unable to protect itself from attack. The soul is able to travel at a radius of 500 kilometers per hour. The soul awakens back in his/her own body whenever s/he wills it. While in this Astral State, interaction with animate objects is impossible, though Leben can still use her telekinetic/telepathic powers in this form as they do not require her body.

Merits

Clear Sighted (3): You are not fooled by illusions, and you get an Alertness roll to see through illusions, Difficulty 7, any time you face one.

Eidetic Memory (2): Having a "photographic" memory, you can accurately recall any sight or sound with a successful Alertness roll. The higher you roll the more you remember. You also rarely forget -anything-.

Ability Aptitude "Computers" (1): Pick a single skill, talent, or knowledge: you're a whiz at whatver this is. +1 Bonus to all rolls using this ability.

Graceful (2): You are extremely agile and delicate in your movements. +1 Bonus on all Dexterity rolls. Botches will still hurt, but it is possible to gracefully fall down, and you'll die before you look clumsy.

Innocent (2): You have an aura of childlike innocence (whether you really are or not). +1 Bonus involving Subterfuge or Manipulation.

Unique Items

(Madougu, magical weapons or other unique or special weapons, as well as all techniques related to them, as without it technically the character is NOT able to use these abilities.)

Umbrella Blade: she's REALLY REALLY freaking good with it.. it comes from her mother's umbrella. She can also throw knives and sharp objects and stuff with excellent precision.. often being subconsciously aided by her telekinetic power.

  • Domino Mask - A mask that can be changed to fit whatever color that the wearer chooses it to be (though in full solid, cannot be leopard print or something). The appearance of the mask is very much like Tuxedo Kamen's party mask. The mask will protect the wearer's eyes from debris, dust, and other gasses that would harm the eyes directly. This does not prevent the eyes from tearing up or protect against any gasses that can be inhaled.

Dark Specter Bat Suit

Acquired after Mission #71 instead of taking payment.

Dark Specter Batsuit.

Description: The Dark Specter Batsuit is an Iconic Battle Suit Style set for Tech-based Heroes. Bestowed upon his "Agents of the Bat", this batsuit allows the wearer to carry and enforce the influence that Batman's image has over the criminal underworld.
Characteristics: The Dark Specter Batsuit is made of Waynetech Nanoweave technology, allowing maximum flexibility and versatility when in use. It also has a neural interface and top of the line sensors lining the armour. This allows the wearer to actually modify its appearance to one more suited to his own, if he does not want to carry the mantle of the Bat.
More specifically, the armour's chest, leg, shoulders and back area are well armoured ands the nanoweave actually provides ballistic, thermal and kinetic resistances, basically acting like a full body bulletproof vest, increasing the wearer's ability to take hits.
Advantages: The Dark Specter Batsuit is hyper flexible and the nanoweave and neural networking make up for human foilibles. Wearing it will grant its wearer enhanced agility and light reflection, the sensors warning when too much light is on the costumes and helping to adjust for falls, wind and any other variables. (Game Terms: Athletics +1, Stealth +1)
The Batsuit also comes with Detective Vision, as nicknamed by Nightwing, which allows the user to turn into every different spectrum of light, allowing to see heat signatures, find traces, and with the proper information, track specific chemicals, scents and other types of trails (When Detective Vision is on, Investigation difficulties are lowered by 1).

Weaknesses & Flaws

Leben has some mental insecurities and instabilities. She can be manipulated. She also has a loyalty complex, if someone close to her is in trouble.. Leben will go to great lengths to save them.

Leben is also a human, she can be killed or shot.. and her telekinesis is not always on her side. She can become distracted because of her mental insecurities very easily and have things backfire.

Flaws

Deranged (3): You have a permanent, severe mental disorder. Definitely check with the OPs, and possibly your fellow players, before taking this one. Leben has mental issues with the loss of her parents.. ..and mental instabilities kind of run in her family.. She can revert to a child-like, quivering state if something traumatic happens to her or something triggers it.

Driving Goal (3): You have some goal which is at the basis of all your motivations, though it is of such depth or impossibility, it could probably never be achieved. Your obsession with your vision can temporarily be soothed by a proper situation (Mission, Combat, etc) or a roll (Diff 8). Leben wants to find her parents killers (Schwartz) and get her revenge. ...except they're kind of a big, big deal.

Vengeance (1): You are consumed with avenging something very important to you. When facing a chance to do this, you need to make a roll (diff 7) to resist taking your revenge. This is another specific flaw, which you should mention beforehand. She wants revenge on Schwartz.

Disturbing Mannerism (2): You have a habit or character trait which is peculiar, gross, or annoying. You may not even be aware of it-but boy, everyone else is. Penalties of social rolls are increased at the GM's discretion. Leben has the problem with the 'no-hands, ma!'. She likes to type with her telekinesis since it's faster. ..she also has other quirks when operating with machines.. ..very, very weird.

Weak-Willed (2): You are easily mind-controlled and manipulated. Opposed rolls are at -1 Penalty for you, and when the odds are against you, you tend to crumble. This is a crippling as hell Flaw in a Free Form RP channel, so think hard and long before taking it for two extra points. Easy manipulation, baby :(
