SPECIAL ABILITIES, POWERS

Swordsmanship: Jesui is highly skilled in many forms of fencing, and kenjutsu. He sis able to hold his own against most opponents in a sword fight, having heard of only one man who is capable of doing more than he can with a sword, but having not had the chance to meet him yet.

NOTABLE ITEMS

Staries MK-III: A prototype Sphere-powered Technological Armour Reactive Independant System (STARIES), improved once, and, after extensive combat testing, rebuilt from the ground up, the Staries armour is also Jesui's heroic identity. It was built based on designed acquired by Axion Industries during the war some 20 years ago, and used to develop a smaller, man-sized combat machine to counter terrorist or war mecha effectively. It came with several weapons, but all were upgraded into the newest and best model. Note that this system only works via the Sphere Reactor, meaning the armor is basically at 20% of its capacities without Jesui piloting it, and to all system scans.

  • Primary Systems: The systems developed to allow the Staries Armour to function the way it does.
    • Realtime Autonomous Movement: Allowing the Staries to fly about in the air perfectly, almost negating gravity. This is accomplished via the following systems, but it allows him to basically fly around and do mid-air combat and precise maneuvers.
    • Shielded-Hemisphere Enduring Energy Projection: A personal forcefield, allowing the Staries Armour to sustain more damage to its frame than expected of something as lightweight as it is, working by emitting an energy barrier over the machine, redistributing the damage all over instead of at one single spot, and at full power, acting as a straight up shield, though this is a drain on its resources.
    • Booster-Exhaust Launching Internal Energy Rocket: Linked to the R.A.M. system above, this allows the Staries to perform long distance flight via high powered jumpjets. Basically rocket boots that let it fly between cities.
    • Sphere Reactor: The Staries' main system, it houses the Lying Black Sheep Sphere, allowing the power of the Sphere to critically augment the capacities of the armour when the conditions are right.
  • Weapons Systems: The Staries' main force is a high powered series of weapons, allowing it to fight against terrorists and even some of their mecha.
    • Machine Cannons: Shoulder mounted miniguns. Used for crowd control and conventional attacks.
    • Hand Cannons: Basic weapons systems, the Staries is able to fire low yield energy weapons. Used against on-foot terrorists, each arm contains a cartridge worth 20 shots.
    • Hip Launchers: Low-yield rail projectiles, mounted in the hips. Used for close range, high impact damage, or lesser damage at range. High energy drain.
    • Hi-MAT Full Burst: All previous weapons firing at the same time, at either a single opponent or at a group of enemy combattants. Usually depletes the ammunition and requires a reload.
    • Horn Sabers: Blades which can glow with energy, for close range combat. Used primarily to stealthily disable on-foot combatants, but can be used to damage parts on an enemy mecha, or hit a critical system at close range.
    • Ramrod: Chest mounted heavy cannon. All points on the Staries armor send energy to the center, with focus enhancer lenses moving towards the target, launched from the boots, hands, and chest, to fire a singular, high powered blast at an opponent. Used against enemy vehicles, mecha, and large scale battalions. There is, however, a relatively long cool down time, as well as a high energy drain.
    • Good Shepard: Staries' newest and best weapon, remote control assault gun drones, able to maneuver independently from the main armour and attack at different angles, or target multiple opponents. These are funnel weapons. They can operate independently for 3 minutes before they need to return and recharge.

Sphere: Lying Black Sheep: Jesui's true power is that he is the owner of a Sphere, an item of massive cosmic power and potential, but that demands a heavy price on its owner/user. The Lying Black Sheep is used to power the Staries armour, enhancing its power FAR beyond the capacities the regular power armour could normally attain. It's estimated that without the Sphere, the Staries armour, while a technological marvel, would be at a mere 20% of its current capacities, and Jesui is not currently using more than 50% of the Sphere's full power.
Illusions: The Lying Black Sheep's name says it all. It is capable of deception, and can create illusions. It allows Jesui to disguise his appearance, mask data from scanners, and make duplicates of himself. Currently, his duplicates are physical but unable to fight, but at full power, the duplicates are on a comparable scale to a Shadow Clone, including of the Staries.
Deception: Jesui is able to convince people of anything. At full power, he is able to literally make an event become a lie, allowing him virtual immortality. At the Sphere's current power, he is 'only' capable of making people believe anything he says that is remotely plausible. He can also easily fake his own death and people will be rapidly convinced with minimal show, or simply appear and disappear without people noticing.
Limited Reality Warping: Not quite, but at full power the Sphere is able to undo things that clearly did happen, by making them into lies, and is capable of making fake duplicates of other beings than the Sphere user. This is not something on a 'grand' scale, only specific events, but if the Sphere is at full power, Jesui can theoretically make fully believable copies of anything and anyone.

  • The Ban: The Lying Black Sheep sphere demands a LOT of its owner. Primarily, the owner of the Sphere is unable to tell the truth. Whatever he says MUST be a lie or a fabrication or in some way deceitful. Jesui is actively unable to tell the truth, even if losing his wits, he will begin spouting jargon and gibberish rather than say anything he truly thinks or anything truthful. The Deception ability helps people believe his lies, but blatant falsehoods are still obvious, and he can be discovered. Note that there are SEVERAL things about Jesui he believes about himself which are, in fact, complete fabrication.
    • The Full Power mentioned above requires the entire world to be dominated by deceit and lies, continued and perpetrated by everyone, and believed as the truth. In most worlds, his limits are as currently stated, but in truly manipulated worlds, the Lying Black Sheep sphere can attain its full power.
    • The Truthful Goat Sphere is the enemy of the Lying Black Sheep. Any use of the Truthful Goat will utterly destroy the Lying Black Sheep's falsehoods, illusions, and deceptions, as well as depower it.

WEAKNESSES

Cannot Tell The Truth: Jesui can never tell a full truth. Granted, any lie among the truth he does say counts as his deception, but he is literally unable to tell the truth, even if fearing for his life, he will say words and letters and gibberish.
Truthful Goat/Truth Revealing Abilities: These can counter the Lying Black Sheep's deceptions and illusions.
Lie-dependence: The Lying Black Sheep sphere's power is relative to how much deception Jesui participates in, up to and including a global scale. On a regular world, the Sphere operates at 50%. On a truly corrupt and deceived world, the Sphere can attain its full power. On a world of brutal and disarming honesty, the Sphere functions at 25% of its power, losing most of its abilities save for the ones provided by Jesui's lies.
