Personality

Stoic and mostly quiet, Golbez only speaks when he has something important to say. He keeps his thoughts to himself on most subjects. He appears to still harbor a great amount of ill feelings towards his own sins.

Background

After the events of the Crystal War (FF4), Golbez was thrown into an inter-dimensional cycle against the forces of Cosmos and Chaos. After finally breaking the cycle on the thirteeth battle, Golbez was returned to his world to continue atoning for his sins.

Thaumaturgy:

Golbez has mastered the art of combining his magic skills with that of the technology from his world. He is able to attack enemies from near or far by summoning spheres that attack enemies with lasers. These orbs have a variety of effects, including increasing gravity, being able to crash into enemies, as well as form together and fire a larger laser. He's also able to conjure various blasts of energy as well as float and quickly move, despite his armor.

Summoning:

Golbez can summon a Shadow Dragon, which spews foul breath on his enemies. It can also bind them with dark power. Golbez also has the ability to temporarily fuse with his Shadow Dragon in order to unleash extremely powerful magic, although this has its limitations.

Pressure: Golbez uses his Lunarian blood to apply mental pressure to an enemy in an attempt to paralyze them.

Teleporation: Golbez can teleport distances using magic.

Lunarian: Golbez is a Lunarian by birth, which gives him extra sense for psychics and those using psychic abilities.

Items Of Note

His armor is of Lunarian origin, which reduces the effectiveness of certain types of debilitating status magic against him. It also slightly increases his fighting ability.
