Appearance

Ella is a young, athletic woman with a slender and toned body. She has slightly tanned skin, with hair that reaches down to the small of her back. She has a slender, slightly curved nose. She has a tattoo of a musclebound moogle flexing on her upper left arm, and a silver bellybutton piercing. She most commonly wears a white mini-tanktop that looks like it was torn on the bottom, and tight blue jeans.

Personality

Ella is a foul mouthed daughter of two pirates, raised by similarly foul mouthed grandparents. She’s loyal but short tempered, and has no patience for most drama.

Background

Ella was born in Corel Prison to two inmates. Her parents organized through Dio for Ella and Melody’s grandparents to come pick the two newborns up and raise them in Costa del Sol. Ella grew up, and went out on her own to earn a fortune and find her parents, who’d left Corel Prison shortly before Ella had come of age. While she was too late to find them before they died, Ella did become tangled up in stopping a world threatening plot, in the process meeting Ragna and Exodus and eventually making them into a family.

Powers & Merits

Concentration (1): You are very good at focusing, and suffer no penalty for distractions, stress or having to repeat yourself often.

Gall (2): You got moxy, kid. You get a +1 bonus to any Social roll requiring backbone.

Ability Aptitude (1): Pick a single skill, talent, or knowledge: you're a whiz at whatever this is. +1 Bonus to all rolls using this ability. (Does not count for Athletics/Alertness)

Crack Driver (1): This has been changed to "Expert Driver" in later books, but we all know what this Merit really means: you drive a car like you're on crack (but can do it without killing anyone). You get a +2 Bonus to Driving rolls. You can take similar merits for piloting or driving other vehicles if appropriate for the character.

Daredevil (3): You love to take risks, and are damn good at living through them. +2 Bonus when risking your life. This actually stacks with other merits (like Crack Driver), so you can be extremely good at risking your life. ...but if you fail you might die, so..

Unique Items

K.U.P.O.: Killer Ultra Powerful Outfit. Consists of a pink helmet with a visor, two moogle ears, and a pom-pom; a pink power glove over her right hand and forearm; a pink blaster over her left hand; two pink mech boots that reach up to her knees; and a pink jetpack with moogle wings extending from it. With the outfit she wears a cropped pink tanktop, and blue shorts that extend to mid-thigh. She keeps her hair in a ponytail when she has this outfit on.

  • Libra Targeting System: Her visor has a visual overlay that helps her aim, and has night vision. It also identifies what her target is made of, if the material is known.
  • Gatling Fist: Her gauntlet powers up, and propels her fist to punch multiple times in rapid succession in a single turn.
  • Elemental Blaster: The inside of her blaster is ringed with elemental materia, that enables her to blast concentrated elemental beams out, including: Bolt, Fire, and Ice.
  • Quake Stomp: Her boots have Earth materia inside of them. When she stomps them hard enough the Quake effect is activated, engulfing the area immediately around her in a violent earthquake.
  • SLOT: Ella injects mako into her outfit’s systems, overcharging the materia contained in them and producing a random effect. This ability can only be used once per battle. A 1d6 is rolled:
    • 1: Whammy - A literal Whammy appears and more or less tells the party why they're going to lose.
    • 2: Toy Soldier - Several 1/64th Shinra Soldiers are jettisoned from the suit, which all line up and fire physical-damage bullets at all enemies.
    • 3: Lucky Girl - Ella's suit transforms into a bikini, somehow, and she strikes a pose, healing the entire party for a moderate amount of health.
    • 4: Prismatic Flash - Several neon flashes emerge from the ground shaped like cards, dealing magical damage across the field to enemies!
    • 5: Chocobop - Ella disappears, and reappears riding a Crazy Chocobo that charges towards an enemy and collides with a brutal explosion, dealing massive damage to a single target.
    • 6: Wheel of Fortune - Gilgamesh is summoned via a pact, appearing to throw Ella one of his swords. Roll a 1d4.
      • 1 - Excalipoor: Ella deals 1 damage. It literally says 1.
      • 2 - Zantetsuken: Ella charges as she grabs the sword, dealing widespread cleave damage, and also has a chance to instant death mooks.
      • 3 - Masamune: Ella's super long katana cuts through a single target to deal critical damage, ignoring usual defenses.
      • 4 - Excalibur: Deals extreme holy damage to a single target.

Weaknesses & Flaws

Addiction (2): Ella is addicted to nicotine. If she doesn’t get it often enough, she’ll start to get bad cravings for it that effect her ability to function after long enough, giving her a -1 penalty to her rolls.

Compulsive Speech (aka Big Mouth) (1): For whatever reason, you have difficulty sticking to the rule, "If you can't say anything nice, don't say it at all." 1 point makes you talkative and a bit blunt.
