Appearance

Case has a dark tan, though not dark enough to mistake her for anything but Caucasian. Her rounded face has a button nose, oval eyes, and thin, somewhat naturally dark pink lips. Her hair is shoulder length and has a wild flipping curl towards the ends. She wears bangs, though keeps anything long enough to obscure her eyesight tucked behind her ears. She has a wiry body with an average bust-waist-hip ratio and well toned musculature. Case is fond of wearing sturdy jeans, steel toed work boots, a plain t-shirt and a ratty old green/black plaid hoodie with smoke grey sleeves and hood... the hood is almost always worn up. Her bland style of dress and adherence to wearing something until it literally comes apart at the seams gives her overall appearance the label of a hipster, hobo, or lesbian.

Personality

Despite her redneck-hobo appearance and rather friendly demeanor, Case has a cunning nature. She enjoys outwitting anyone who opposes her, but isn't much for shouting taunts at them... just showing off and defeating them with style. She won't give the time of day to someone that's adamant on judging her on her appearance, and will often play up whatever stereotype they label her as (if she learns of it) to incite them into a fight. If someone does give her the benefit of a doubt, they'll find her friendship is genuine... to a fault. The chink in her mental armor is her loyalty - she'll hesitate to leave a team mate behind, including endangering herself to give them a chance to flee. If forced to flee without them, worry will cloud her thoughts and actions until her team mate is confirmed alive and well. Case also despises being referred to as Kacie, but won't incite any violent or foolish actions from her.

Background

100 years ago, in the alternate world of Phaedocea, the original Gradeon Warriors - Knight, Magus, Priest, Rogue and Strider - defeated the dark sorcerer-king and ended his reign of terror by sealing him within the dimensional void. Though peace fell over the land, the Gradeon Warriors knew that without the 'blood of the gods' the sorcerer-king would return... possibly with much more power due to the conditions of his prison. Learning that the 'blood of the gods' could only be obtained on the alternate world known as 'Earth', the Gradeon Warriors used forbidden magics to send themselves to the strange, magic-less world. Once arriving, each went their separate way, seeking out the key to truly defeating the dark sorcerer-king.

The Strider, Eteyli, would find herself traveling across the American continents for her search. Though she was involved in a variety of adventures, she never managed to find the 'blood of the gods', and her advancing age forced her to settle down with a charming yet simple-minded man in the United States. From there, their family grew... and one day, their oldest daughter met the man she was to marry, and three years later their first child was born - Case Hayward.

Case grew up a tomboy with a cunning nature strange to her deep south, backwater surroundings. She was enthralled with her grandmother's tales, which lead her to becoming a bit of an outdoorswoman and a fan of tokusatsu during the Power Ranger craze of the early 90's onward as the stories told of Phaedocea were similar to that of the various series. Her school peers found her weird for her intelligence and interests, and at first tormented her... until she learned to fight back by tricking her tormentors into revealing their true natures in front of school officials. She was never popular in her home town because of these incidents, and was even feared throughout high school as she became an apprentice to her father in the town's only auto shop, which meant if they gave her crap, she could easily pile on the upkeep costs of their precious cars.

After high school, she was encouraged to go to college... but, after two years and finding no major that interested her, she set off on her own journey of self-discovery at her grandmother's behest. She managed to keep herself afloat as she traveled by taking up odd jobs... but the one that she was lead to in California would finally give a purpose to her life of wandering -
