Appearance

I have a lot of pics. But basically, a very healthy young woman, in great physical shape, with long blonde hair and striking blue eyes. Pale skin, perfectly healthy body. Also has substantial breasts.

Personality

Happy, very friendly, and generally self-effacing and sweet. Aya is a proper young woman in every way, except perhaps a bit too outgoing. She appears naive, though when in 'ninja' mode, she's mostly business. Despite her upbringing and training, she was always more interested in the poison/medical aspects of ninja training, especially with her gift of the Healing Flame. Due to this, Aya is usually looking for non-violent solutions and tries not to volunteer for assassination missions. She has a girlish, vulnerable side, that makes her very good at seduction.

Background

The daughter of Recca and his wife, Yanagi, and their second child. Aya grew up in a loving, normal family... well. As normal as it got with those two weirdoes. She had little interest in following in her family's fireworks factory, but found herself endlessly fascinated by her grandmother Kagerou's stories of ancient Japan and the Healing Girl there, because much like her mother and sister, Aya was also born a healer. She found this out really quickly, which her parents tried to keep under wraps, a problem with her soft-hearted nature.
As Aya grew older, she realized she wanted to help people, and made herself actually undergo training in ninjutsu, despite originally having no intention to fight. The reason for this is sometimes, she could heal people without being noticed, and ninja training let her sneak in, heal someone, and sneak out with people being none the wiser. Recca thought this was genius, and helped her practice, though most of her direct training came from Kagerou. If you have a direct access to a ninja master, after all.. before high school was let out, Aya was happy knowing she'd helped heal many people.
She entered nursing school after that. She considered medical school as well, but the bar for entry there was a lot higher.. and a lot more expensive. So she figured she could be a nurse and use her powers to heal the wounded in that capacity. Like some sort of superhero nurse, on the night shift. A Night Nurse, one might say. However, it was during this time she found out about things her parents had previously hidden. The history of the Hokage, of Mugenjou, of other things that lurk in shadows, and Aya's awakening to all these things made her realize there were people to help that normal people probably can't help. But she can. So she started looking for those things, and found Mugenjou.

Special Abilities

Poison Use: Aya has learned a lot about medicinal and poisonous plants and animals, as well as mixing and brewing them chemically. She is incredibly adept at them, and can be used to harm or to heal. She can identify plants on sight and touch, and knows how to dilute venom from animals into antitoxins.
Weapon Use: Aya is proficient at the use of chain and escrima stick weapons, for long range attacks and disarming opponents. She prefers to immobilize and disarm than outright murder her opponents, but if push comes to shove, that's why she has the sticks. To whack them. She is very good at counterstrikes or taking people off-balance, as well as immobilization.

Ninjutsu (忍術)

Aya is a ninja. She has been trained in the 18 arts of the ninja by her grandmother, and her training has been perfected by Recca. She is highly skilled at stealth, infiltration, and espionage techniques, but her specialty is espionage and theft. With her training, Aya has focused primarily on her speed and agility, due to her lack of formal hand to hand training, making use of her natural grace and skills as a dancer and gymnast, with Recca pushing her to run almost fast enough to cross running water. Aya specializes in disguise and charm to get her information, but she has also learned the following techniques.
According to Bujinkan members, Ninja Juhakkei ("the eighteen disciplines") were first stated in the scrolls of Togakure-ryu. They became definitive for all ninjutsu schools. Ninja juhakkei was often studied along with Bugei Juhappan (the "eighteen samurai fighting art skills"). Though some are used in the same way by both samurai and ninja, other techniques were used differently by the two groups (ninja martial arts was adaptation to surprise attacks at night, in the back or ambush and at espionage to stun the enemy for escape in case of detection). Ninja fought in the lack of space (thicket bush in the forest, narrow corridors and low rooms locks).

  • Kawarimi - Substitution Technique: Aya can leave a wooden log or other nearby item in her place after a distraction, as well as slip out of her clothes to avoid capture.
  • Seishinteki Kyoyo – Spiritual refinement: Aya has learned meditation and self-control techniques.
  • Kayakujutsu – Pyrotechnics: Aya is not exceptoinally good with this, but she can use a smoke or pepper bomb.
  • Hensojutsu – Disguise and Impersonation: Aya is incredibly skilled at this.
  • Shinobi-iri – Stealth and Entering methods: Aya has practiced this extensively.
  • Bajutsu – Horsemanship: Aya is a natural at this, with her ability with animals.
  • Sui-ren – Water training: Aya is an avid swimmer, and she can use the water-walking shoes.
  • Choho - Concealment and Espionage: Aya can track someone, tailing them and learning about them through observation and stealth.
  • Intonjutsu - Escaping: Aya has learned how to pick locks, undo ropes and handcuffs, and generally get herself out of almost any trap she's placed into.

Taijutsu (体術)

The Arts of the Body, the ninja 'Martial art'. Kamen has been trained in various forms of hand to hand combat by Raiha and Joker all his life, learning several fighting techniques and tactics, and then forging them into a single coherent and well oiled single fighting style. Kamen's training has focused primarily on Aikido, various Kempo styles (mostly soft), Jiujitsu and Capoeria, for the versatility and fluidity of these styles, but he has also learned more dangerous techniques from various styles, such as Boxing (quick punching and defense), Karate (very hard, decisive strikes), Escrima (for weapon fighting), Krav Maga and Hapkido(for control and disarmament), Tae Kwon Do and Savate for kicking.
Throws and Takedowns: The techniques Aya uses against stronger or larger opponents, taking full advantage of her agility and speed, which is her primary focus.

  • Shooting Star Press: The shooting star press is a technique invented by Jushin "Thunder" Liger. In a standard shooting star press, the wrestler jumps forward from an elevated position and presses knees to chest, executes a backflip in mid-air, and lands on the opponent in the splash/press position. A corkscrew can also be added to the move by doing either a 180°, 360°, or more in mid-air, ending in either a senton or press. In the senton variation, this move is called the shooting star senton.
  • Hurricanrana: This is a head scissors take down that ends in a double leg cradle pinning hold, though it is often performed in American wrestling without the aforementioned pinning combination.[14] (A rana is any double-leg cradle.) Technically, the term huracanrana can only be applied to the move when used by Huracán Ramirez or one of his descendants[citation needed], but this has largely been forgotten and the move is instead universally called a hurricanrana no matter who executes it. A somersault version also exists. Aya can perform this move on the ground or as an aerial dive.
    • Flower Petal Frankensteiner: This is a hurricanrana executed on an opponent sitting on the top turnbuckle. With the attacking wrestler's legs scissored around the opponent's head while they face each other, the wrestler performs a backflip to swing through the opponent's open legs, dragging the opponent into a forced somersault that distances the wrestler from the opponent, who lands on his or her back. The name Frankensteiner comes from Scott Steiner, who popularized the move. This move is usually referred as Avalanche Frankensteiner. Aya renamed it 'Flower Petal Frankensteiner'.
  • Kenta no Kaze Otoshi - Kenta's Wind Drop: Aya moves at full speed, or takes advantage of the element of surprise, grabbing the opponent in a face lock with her arms, resting her head on his shoulder, and then using her full weight to drop and twist, intending to smash their head and neck into the ground (or conveniently placed car/object). She can also twist to make this a face smash, or a side-smash. This move is much better with the element of surprise.
    • Anti-Air Kenta no Kaze Otoshi: Similar to the previous, but for use against airborne opponents. Aya intercepts their attacks, then delivers the Kenta Kaze Otoshi drop onto the ground from even higher up. This is a super-fast interrupt, and Aya's arguably mose devastating Taijutsu maneuver.
  • Ryuto Enbu: Rushing forward, Aya flips past the opponent, grabbing their head and continuing her spin, to flip around them and then use the full momentum to send them flying back away from her, using their own weight against them, as well as twisting their head back o keep them disoriented.
  • Hien Saka Otoshi: Aya leap-flips into the air, landing with both legs on her opponent's shoulders, then basically traps their head between her thighs, holding them there for a moment, before flipping backwards, still holding their head there, and making them twist in the air, landing face-first into the ground as she rolls away. This seems to work exceptionally well against men.

Striking Attacks: Direct striking blows, usually against equivalent or otherwise easier to defeat opponents. Aya is less skilled at these, but has made off with a few techniques to take advantage of her fighting abilities and speed.

  • Rengetsu, Reppu: Stepping forward, Aya strikes with two punches, then a somersault kick, before suddenly twisting and dashing almost THROUGH the opponent while they reel from the kick, which has a high chance of knocking them into the air, then lands behind them, ready to continue the attacks.
  • Tenro Kyaku: Aya leaps and tries to land on the opponent's face. If she does, she will repeatedly stomp them into the ground and leap away from them. A simple move, but can make up for her lack of strength by using her full weight behind every kick.
  • Enzuigiri: The term Enzui is the Japanese word for medulla oblongata and giri means "to chop". Thus, an enzuigiri (often misspelled 'ensuigiri' or 'enzuiguri') is any attack that strikes the back of the head. It is usually associated with lighter weight class wrestlers, as well as wrestlers who have a martial arts background or gimmick. It is often used as a counter-move after a kick is blocked and the leg caught (called a "leg-feed"), or the initial kick is a feint to set up the real enzuigiri attack. A common variation of the enzuigiri sees the wrestler stepping up the opponent's chest, and hitting the back of the opponent's head with the other leg, or foot.

Powers & Merits

Hokage Flame Master: Aya's primary power is the fact that she is a Flame Master. The Hokage Flame is hereditary from parent to child. This flame is spiritual in nature, and burns unnaturally hot, to the point where most normal fires can't compare to it. She can only control his flame while wearing a Tekkou. These are a metal bracer on her arm. If she removes this at any time, her flame will grow out of control and consume her, slowly but surely, unless it is replaced. This flame grants her the following abilities:
Flame Form: Aya's Flame is a pretty, hazy butterfly.
Superhuman Resistance to Fire and Heat: Aya will burn much, much slower than she should. However, she is not immune to flame, not even her own, The advantage to this is that other mystical flame or flame-like attacks burn her much slower than they should, so a magical fireball will not hurt much.
Flame Aura: Aya's flame aura can cause her shirt to burn off her.
Healing Flame: Aya can choose to make her flame a healing, purifying strike in lieu of a burn or attack. This flame will purify from corruption, natural, supernatural, or otherwise. She will destroy low-level undead who aren't exceptionally powerful, and remove poisons. The Healing Flame can, if used quickly enough, reattach limbs that was relatively intact (I.E., can put an arm that was cleaved off someone else, but probably not an arm that was pulverized on impact). It cannot cure diseases, but make those who suffer from them feel better.

  • Healing Damage: Aya's flame can heal wounds made from any source. Blades, magic, poisons, etc. Her flame will mend the lesions and lessen the bruises, and if used quickly enough will prevent scarring. She can reattach a limb if it was severed neatly enough and if it was put back in place while she was healing. Otherwise, the wound will seal up and will make re-attaching the limb impossible. Aya's flame can rarely cure diseases born of infection, bacteria, or of a cancerous origin, but drug-induced, magical or otherwise unnatural diseases may be cured (GM's call). Note that healing around a bullet or sword is a terrible idea, and Aya is better off waiting for the source of damage to be removed before healing.
  • Purification: Aya's flame is a force of purity. Using it against a curse will likely remove it. Using it in a corrupted area is likely to cleanse it, though her power works considerably less against an inanimate object being cursed than a person. More openly, Aya's flame is anathema to undead, destroying their very corrupt nature to the core, and often removing the origin of their undeath as well. Aya's flame can possibly affect demonic or spiritual curses as well, though less efficiently than undead-related ones. (Treat as Dialga.. and purification spells)
  • Cleansing: Aya's flame can remove unnatural threats to a body. Drugs, toxins, magical curses or ill-effects (as mentioned before), though the more extensive the spread the harder it will be for Aya to remove it. She will also usually remove ill effects of the poison or other foreign substance (Example, a necrotic spider bite will be fixed as per her healing), unless the damage is too extensive (she is not going to regrow meth users' teeth). Petrification or other transformations are a case by case basis, as to whether the flame would work. Most likely, it wouldn't, unless it was from an actual curse and not simply a magical effect. (Treat as Esuna.. with limits.)

Merits

Poison Resistance (2pts): Aya has had a long history of running around in the reeds and trying to pet snakes. Eventually, she just got used to it.
Beast Affinity - Canines(2pts): Aya has always has a knack for getting along with animals. She's been known to pet fish. She has the most luck with canines, however.
Double-Jointed (2pts): Aya's flexibility is legen. Wait for it. Dary. She can basically twist and shift out of shibari bondage.
Luck (3pts): Luck favors the dumb, or so the saying goes.
Green Thumb (1pt): Aya's never let any houseplant die, and she enjoys herbalism and gardening.

Unique Items

Herbalism Kit: Aya is a medical ninja. As such, she carries with her an herbalism kit, which she can unroll to pick herbs, calculate amounts, mix them together, etc. This is relatively advanced and lets her mix herbs like a Raccoon City Police Officer. This allows Aya to brew concoctions or drugs like a doctor, but on the field, quickly and efficiently.

Toxicology Kit: An extra to her herbalism kit. Aya has the tools to extract poisons from plants and animals if she has to, as well as leeches (not those types) to draw out poison from an infected area. She can mix antitoxins, and tends to carry a few 'general use' types in this.

Medical Kit: Basically a first aid kit.

Items Of Note

Ninja Tools: Aya carries with her a set of ninja tools.

  • Climbing Claws, Pepper Bombs, Fireworks, Lockpicks, Rope, Grappling Hook, Bamboo 'Flute', Razor Blade.

Ninja Weapons: Aya carries a contingent of ninja weapons hidden on her person.

  • Shuriken, Needles, Wires, Knife, Poison Darts, Ninjato.

Chain Weapon: Aya has a Mankiri-Gusari, a chain sickle, with one end weighted and the other on a grappling hook. She can use this expertly, as it's her weapon of choice.

Weaknesses & Flaws

Tekkou Dependency: If Aya loses her Tekkou, she can't actually use her flame. Not that she can't summon it, it's that it will burn uncontrollably, consuming both her and her target. And since she only uses her flame for HEALING... this could have disastrous effects.

Flaws

Soft-Hearted (1pt): Aya dislikes suffering. She makes for a poor assassin and wide-scale combatant. She prefers to take espionage or seduction missions instead of assassination or the like. Even if an enemy, she would rather they not suffer.
Airhead (1pt): Aya is a good ninja, and she can be focused and skilled if she needs to be, but in her 'relaxed' state, she's relatively naive and prone to believe what people she trusts say. She's quick to make friends and sometimes spaces out instead of looking as focused as she should be. It's easy to mistake her for someone not trustworthy. This being said, she has a good memory.
Lifesaver (3pt): Aya is a healer. She doesn't want to let people die, even if it's for 'the greater good' or there's a Raise spell available. She's likely to take bullets for someone, or fight to save even the most bitter enemy there is. She will not tolerate callous disregard for human life, or animal life even.
Compulsive Speech: Not so much that Aya can't shut up, it's that she has a very disturbing habit to speak in innuendo and double-entendre then not really realize she might've either just turned on everyone in the room, or not realize she embarrassed her coworkers.
