Appearance

Oh my god, someone get her a sandwich!

A fairly tall and wiry young woman, she has wild, unkept green hair that falls down her back. She has chocolate brown eyes, is rather light skinned, and has ears that come up and end in a point. She's always wearing the latest in fashion- whether it be punk or chic, depending on the situation and her mood.

Her ears, while normally being as pale as the rest of her body, can start to turn black, and look almost scaley. It starts at the tip, and over time- unless reversed- will cover the whole of her ear.

Her eyes, too, can have some supernatural elements. When the conditions are right, her iris' will start to grow, and then glow. At the most, her eyes will be completely brown, glowing like a soft, brown, night light.

Personality

While she can have her days where she's either a wild child, or complete hippy, A.M. typically finds herself just vowing to enjoy her days as much as possible. She tries to keep things balanced in her life- her work, her schooling, her personal life. To an extent, she tries to avoid conflict... however, she can easily become excited and therefore jump into any conflict she would otherwise stay out of. Especially if said conflict involves her or her friends directly. Depending on her mood, though, she can either become real mischievous and sometimes malicious, or become real withdrawn and haughty.

Background

Her mommy and daddy had SEX. It was GOOD.

Then she was born.

And things got BAD!

She went to live with her dad because her mom couldn't take care of her anymore, or bad things would happen.

THEY HAPPENED ANYWAY. Her daddy had to fight off some bad people to protect her, and she was safe, yay!

Then her dad died. Fuck.

She grew up in the care of family friends. Yay?

These friends all had different sorts of enemies, though. So, she grew up learning how to fight with unique skillsets that her parents heritage gave to her. RAWR.

Thanks to her mom's side of the family, she had an ethereal beauty about her that easily led her into the world of modeling. She quickly became disillusioned, though, so..

She decided she wanted to start her own business of some kind, and went into school for business management! Still models on the side, though.

Her Powers Fall Under Three Categories: Normal, Demon, Fae.

Metamorphasis - The gradual progression of A.M.'s nature. A.M. cannot go into each category at will- whatever abilities are available to her are dependent on what she's been through lately.

- For A.M. to go from Normal to Demon, she, essentially, needs to be gutted- either physically or emotionally- over time. Friends abandon her, opportunities lost, bad decisions leading to regrettable consequences.. Things like that.

- For A.M. to go from Normal to Fae, she simply needs to spend lots of time in nature. A stroll through the park won't do much... but camping in a forest for a week might!

- For A.M. to go from Dark/Fae back to normal, she needs to be treated normally (and, occasionally, with TLC) by those who love/care for her.


Normal

These are abilities that A.M. has access to at any given point in time.

Transform - A.M. can transform into a living, but immovable object.

Earth Travel - A.M. uses her Transform ability, and then slowly digs her way underground. Once underground, she can move just about as freely as the terrain takes her. She does have to compensate for things like.. roots, boulders, large bodies of water, etc.

Root - A.M. can call forth roots from nearby plants to ensnare her enemies. Only as strong as the roots being used.

Whip - A.M. can also call forth roots, and branches, from nearby plants, to whip at her enemies.

Demon/Fae Sense - A.M. can sense when other Demons or Fae are nearby.


Dark

These are abilities that A.M. has enough power to call forth when her soul is in its darker place. She becomes more wild and reckless in this state, caring for little beyond her own, personal objectives. The darker she goes, the stronger she becomes, but also the more self-centered she becomes.

Strength - In this state, she has super-strength.

Dark Touch - A.M. can cause life to wither away with a simple touch. Smaller objects wither quicker than larger objects, of course.

Poison Kiss - A.M.'s kiss, when she's in this state, can be positively deadly. If she wills it, poison can secrete through her lips, and poison the person she's kissing. It's a toxin that is relatively harmless at first, almost takes fruit-like and can be mistaken for lip gloss, but over time it will make the person kissed feel very ill, and start to show signs of cyanide poisoning. If enough time passes without an antidote (or magical cure,) the kiss can be fatal.

Pure Dark: Flight - When A.M.'s soul is in its darkest place, she can bring about unholy magic and allow herself to fly.

Pure Dark: Power Orb - When A.M's soul is in its darkest place, she can call forth a dark orb of unholy power, and lob it, a la a baseball, at her foes.

Pure Dark: Energy Steal - When A.M.'s soul is in its darkest place, she can not only cause life to wither away from others, but she can absorb it as energy for herself as well- this may aid her in wound recovery time, should she need it.


Fae

These are abilities that A.M. has enough power to call forth when her soul is in its more nurtured place. She becomes extremely calm in this state, but again, wholly focused on her task at hand. Sometimes she will not even speak, so unless others can hear plants, or are telepathic, it would be difficult to know what she wants to communicate- if she wants to communicate.

Endurance - In this state, she has much more endurance than she would normally have.

Grow - A.M. can cause plants to grow around her as needed. Does need to focus on this, especially to get the growth right.

Heal - She can utilize any number of herbs and natural oils and balms to heal any wounds. Grow is useful for this.

Pure Fae: Wild Growth - When A.M.'s soul is most attuned to the forest, she can cause any number of plants to spring up at thought.

Pure Fae: Weapon of the Wood - When A.M.'s soul is most attuned to the forest, she can not only cause any number of plants to spring up, but the plants that she can grow can grow into shapes and densities of her choosing- staves, bos, even highly dense wooden swords, would be to her disposal.

Pure Fae: Bark Skin - When A.M.'s soul is most attuned to the forest, she literally can grow bark on her person- without transforming- and fight.

Merits

General

Graceful (2): You are extremely agile and delicate in your movements. +1 Bonus on all Dexterity rolls. Botches will still hurt, but it is possible to gracefully fall down, and you'll die before you look clumsy.

Well-Traveled- Earth (3): You are knowledgeable of the ways of the world from your travels and studies. Once per mission, you can roll against a difficulty 6 (just a die roll, no modifiers). If successful, the GM tells you information about the situation if it makes sense. (I.E., someone from Final Fantasy 4 world may have heard about the Eidolons and the Feymarch or the Red Moon, but probably wouldn't have heard about the Hellsing Organization.)

Poison Resistance (2): You have an innate ability to resist the effects of many toxins. Whenever you need to roll to resist poisons, you get a +2 Bonus.

Normal Only

Good Old Boy/Girl (2): You're just a nice person, and people recognize and appreciate that. +1 Bonus on social rolls when interacting with your fellow folk. But only when Normal.

Fae Only

Green Thumb (1): Not only do plants thrive in your care, they almost seem to burst into bloom from your touch. But only in Fae mode

Beast Affinity- Forest Animals (2): Animals are unusually drawn to you, and though you can't speak with them, you can communicate with them on a limited level using tone of voice and body language. 1-point affinity is with one specific type of animal, 2-point is with one group, 3 is with all natural animals. In appropriate settings, a 4-point version extends your affinity to supernatural animals as well. But only when in Fae mode

Demon Only

Nightsight (3): You can see in near-total darkness. You may, however, be sensitive to bright light, and sudden bright light may dazzle you for a turn or two. But only in Dark mode

Unique Items

(Madougu, magical weapons or other unique or special weapons, as well as all techniques related to them, as without it technically the character is NOT able to use these abilities.)

Weaknesses & Flaws

General

Compulsive Speech (aka Big Mouth) (1): For whatever reason, you have difficulty sticking to the rule, "If you can't say anything nice, don't say it at all." 1 point makes you talkative and a bit blunt; 2 points makes you a complete prick.

Dark Secret (1): There's something about you which you don't want people to know, and it would be very bad if they did (or at least you think it would be). Her being half-demon, and even half-fae. Just, for the most part, wants to be considered normal.

Enemy/Group Enmity (2): Some group amongst your kind, i.e. another clan/tribe/tradition/whatever, doesn't like you and may prevent you going places you might otherwise go or may otherwise give you hell in a variety of ways. Her heritage makes her hated, and wanted for death, by her mother's side of the family.

Otherworldly Taint (2): You have a physical peculiarity (odd hair/eye color, glowing eyes, etc.) and/or just an odd aura about you which may make you stick out. Someone who suspects you're not "normal" may make an Alertness roll, difficulty 7, to determine what you are. Hair, sometimes ears/eyes.

Is weak against the element of fire. Can handle it in normal doses, but when enhanced, especially when she's slipped into one of her alternate forms, it becomes more and more debilitating.

Demon Form

Masochist/Sadist (1): You either enjoy pain or enjoy inflicting it on others. In addition to the inconveniences this fascination may cause you, you may also be seen as sick (and, well you are), or even more sick people may use you for your obsession.

Offensive to Animals (1): For some reason, animals fear you or just don't like you. All rolls involving interacting with animals are at a -1 Penalty. Some creatures (Vampires, Werewolves, Robots) have this naturally, so taking it again makes the animals actively antagonistic towards you, and may bite you or pee on you.

Fae Form

Speech Impediment (1): You stutter, have a tongue twist, or otherwise have difficulty communicating. A -really- funky accent can work too, but it needs to be crippling or slurred. You get a -1 Penalty to any roll trying to convince or explain something, but this should mostly be played out so people can attempt to decipher your posts. She recedes within herself and will barely talk. The more she's in Fae form, the less likely she is to speak. Telepaths can communicate with her, though.
