Appearance

She is of average stature, with a curvy body that is expected of a succubus. Short pink hair, light red eyes, pointed ears and leathery black wings and tail with light red tattoos intricately drawn across her body complete the image of this girl. She dresses rather scantily at all times, not having a concept of modesty unless completely necessary.

Personality

Isabelle is of the lover breed of demons. While she knows how to fight, she prefers being peaceful and more loving and caring with those around her. This doesn't mean she will not fight. She does believe in struggling for what has to be done. Just... if it came down to it, she'd rather be a lover. She believes sex is a form of spiritual healing for herself and the person she is with; something sacred and meaningful.

Background

She originated as a mere succubus, living the life of a demon of the underworld. Herself and her kin serve the dark lord, Dracula. But, unlike most other demons, Isabelle did not understand the hatred of mortal men. Finding herself at odds with the life she was supposed to live, she stole some magical artifacts she found and fled the great mighty castle. She would not let herself kill senselessly when there was no true reason to do so.

Powers & Merits

Powers

  • Dark Barrier: A simple barrier that glows with a purple hue that Isabelle can throw up to surround herself in a fifteen foot radius. Allies in the barrier will be protected by magical attacks by 25% and physical attacks by 10%. This field only lasts a few short seconds and does not fully protect against enemy fire. This field can, however, shove people back away from her. She is able to pick and choose who is shoved away when she first puts the barrier up around herself.
  • Dark Energy Blast: She puts both of her hands together and fires off a magical ball of dark energy at the enemy target. This attack feels like being hit with demonic energy, with a slight mana drain side effect to it. (The mana will be given to Isabelle.) If used against another demon, it would simply empower the creature. If used against a holy enemy (such as an angel) it may be more effective and painful than it would be against a normal human. This blast is not as strong as one would think, as it has a mana drain to it as well as a damaging effect.
  • Recovery: Not so much a heal spell, this is a recovery spell she is able to cast on people. This will increase the target's mana recovery for a short duration, as well as make them feel as if their ability had been boosted. This spell restores mana or whatever manner of energy someone uses when casting magic. This does not work with ki based attacks, as that is something different entirely, and this only a magical restoration spell. Isabelle loses a portion of her own energy when she casts this, as she is helping speed up the recovery of soemone else's energy.
  • Remove Curse: Being one of her most taxing abilities, this is one of her abilities to drain a curse from someone and burn it away into nothingness. She must place her hands on the affected part of the person's body, or embrace them if it has completely overtaken them. Once she has done this, she has to kiss the person to connect to them and form an energy bridge to draw the curse out of their body.
  • Seduce: Singing softly, she may be able to seduce someone to either become completely calm, or even join her side in a fight for a short duration. Spell is more effective against men, but women can resist this with a simple difficulty 5 roll. People with something akin to Iron Will are immune to her seducing voice. This will only work on one target at a time, and the effect will last a mere minute at the most.
  • Sense Soul: She is able to sense if someone is a demon, angel, spirit, plain normal human, or something else entirely.
  • Sense Magic: Due to being a supernatural creature, she is able to sense magical auras as well as the energy signatures of artifacts or other similar things.
  • Soul Heal: This is a core ability Isabelle has made due to how she lives as a succubus. Instead of draining someone's soul and health away from them through the act of sex or invading dreams, she does the exact opposite. This ability allows her to restore the spiritual energy, as well as stabilize the person's mental state if it is in a state of chaos. This spell comes at a cost, though. She has to mate with the person, and it takes a few hours to perform the ritual during mating to take full effect.
  • Transform: A minor ability. She is able to hide her succubus wings and tail. Her tattoos and ears, however, are a different story entirely.

Merits

  • Nightsight (3): You can see in near-total darkness. You may, however, be sensitive to bright light, and sudden bright light may dazzle you for a turn or two.
  • Animal Magnetism (1): You have the "WOA DUDE BANG ME" aura, and receive a +1 Bonus on seduction and similar rolls (though this may inspire jealousy in the people who view you as competition). This is a Merit seldom taken seriously in the Chat Rooms, as it's been too often used by players whose intent is seldom gaming...
  • Acute Senses (1): +1 to rolls concerning smell.
  • Soothing Voice (2): You have an entrancing voice. When using your voice (speeches, singing, poetry), you get a +2 Bonus on Social rolls. When making casual conversation, +1 Bonus.
  • Clear Sighted (3): You are not fooled by illusions, and you get an Alertness roll to see through illusions, Difficulty 7, any time you face one.

Unique Items

  • Magic Necklace, Gauntlets & Boots: These items amplify the ability of the wearer, pushing their natural talents to levels beyond their normal capabilities. (Imagine the set Lina Inverse bought off of Xeloss in Slayers) Isabelle is at the power of a lower tier demon without these objects. They are impervious to conventional means of damage, but they are not invincible, and only a demon of Makai can repair them once damaged. (These items will 'in due time' raise her power permamently, but for now she has to rely on them to be considered useful.)
    • Note: She can magically store the Gauntlets, Boots and even Scythe when they are not in use. They are stored inside the necklace. To make use of the amplification ability of the items, she has to have them on. (At least all but the scythe).
  • Magic Scythe: A magical scythe that comes with the other adornments, she uses this weapon in melee combat, and it comes with a special ability. This item does not specifically boost any ability like the other items, and is not required to be with her at all times. As long as she has the other items equipped, she can summon and dismiss the scythe at will.
    • Dark Scythe Blast: Instead of her normal attack using her hands, she can swing the scythe to send out three blades of dark energy that will rip through an opponent like a giant claw. This attack will drain mana on impact as well as try to tear into the flesh of the target. This attack can hit up to three targets in front of her at one time, dealing equal damage to each person. Like the normal dark blast, this will simply rejuvinate another demon and hurt a holy enemy more than average.
    • Barrier Slash: If she focuses energy into the scythe, she is cable to slash through magical barriers, tearing an opening in it to pass through.

Weaknesses & Flaws

  • Holy Energy: Since she is a demon, Holy energy will outright brutally harm her or kill her.

Flaws

  • Bard's Tongue (1): What you say tends to come true; you can't control this prophetic ability, and the compulsion to speak an uncomfortable truth is often very hard to resist (difficulty 8). The GM should feed you the occasional line to say out loud.
  • Compulsion (1): Due to her demonic nature, she is as attracted to blood as a vampire is. Diff 6 to resist this.
  • Echoes (3): She can not walk on hallowed ground.
  • Otherworldly Taint (2): You have a physical peculiarity (odd hair/eye color, glowing eyes, etc.) and/or just an odd aura about you which may make you stick out. Someone who suspects you're not "normal" may make an Alertness roll, difficulty 7, to determine what you are.
