Appearance

David typically wears his long hair in a pony tail. He has a carved, muscular build but looks a little underfed. When hunting, he wears a heavy, dark brown greatcoat over drab clothes, accented only by the cyclone boots and belts and bandoliers and bags carrying his various weapons and gear. The Seraph Shoulders blending into his coat, giving it a duster like appearance. The Dark Gauntlet is worn over the sleeve on the left arm.

Personality

David is highly driven by his familial shame, seeking to prove himself as a slayer above all else. As such, when around people he is unaquainted with, he comes off as aloof and somewhat abbrasive. He is still polite, however, and once he becomes more comfortble around people, he lowers his guard somewhat but retains a degree of seriousness all the same.

Background

David's father was to be the next man to slay the cursed Dracula, until Julius Belmont arrived on the day Samuel was to depart to collect the Vampire Killer whip. Samuel's entire life had been taylored to his wielding the Vampire Killer, so this came as a great blow. David grew up around his shamed and broken father. Samuel didn't turn to vice and kept his dignity as best he could, but David was well aware of it all the same and it burned in his gut as he came into adulthood. He set out on a journey to find new artifacts and weapons with which to combat the forces of the night, training in all the necessary skills needed to slay his ancient enemy. On his journey he picked up the alchemical skills tied to his weapons and their workings, allowing him to repair and enhance them once he's good enough. He also began dabbling in magics, concentrating specifically on abilities that lets him combat magic with magic, deciding this would help close the deficite between himself and a Belmont.

Special Abilities

Magic: David practices magic, specifically magic geared towards combating hostile magics.

Clense Area: A magical ability that clenses all persistent magical affects from an area about 20' circle around the user. This is an instantaneous ability, time and practice will be learned to make the clensing effect linger.

Mental Fortress: David has used his magical studies to enhance his mental fortitude, gaining him a resistence to things such as mind control and psychic attacks.

Righteous Strike: David channels his magic into his weapons, causing successful blows to wither the magical power of a target.

Annulment: Temporarily boosts David's resistence to detrimental magical effects.

Alchemy: David is versed in alchemy and as such can use and maintain his special weapons.

Slayer Gear: David trains intensely in the use of his Combat Cross, Dark Gauntlet, Cyclone Boots and Seraph Shoulders.

Arcane Artificer: David is able to craft, modify, repair, maintain and safely destroy magical artifacts, as well as imbue them or already built items with magical power. This is an extension of things he has already done, such as with his Combat Cross. He will continue to craft a supply of the various "sub-weapons" used by vampire killers and other such warriors.

Arcane Alchemy: A natural progression of existing skills, David will learn to devise potions, reagents and the like of a magical nature.

Forgotten Languages: Also continuing from previous studies, David has learned ancient and dead languages from across the eons, both natural and arcane.

Scrying: Through various arcane means, David intends to learn how to detect various objects and entities. This includes an array of means of varying levels of accuracy such as reading cards, bones or tea leaves, as well as using arcane scrying devices, should he be able to find any. The more homeopathic means of scrying are generally vague or of somewhat dubious accuracy, but are not completely without merit. Arcane devices designed for scrying tend to be clearer and less prone to misinterpretation. In particular, David wishes to get ahold of a Distance Mirror. This can also include detection spells, such as using a sample of something to create a spell to find more of it.

Pyromancy: The conjuring and control of fire in the Belnades style. This requires a small degree of focus, hand gestures (anything of significant power or complexity requires two hands even if only one hand is actually projecting the magic), and an expenditure of the user's own mana. This can range from producing light of various levels of brightness (by manipulating the heat), fire bolts, walls of fire, jets of flame that can be sustained and burn hot enough to destroy flesh and bone, etc. If he is injured, or otherwise disrupted during his casting, the magic ends and he has to start over. This only takes a few seconds but in the heat of battle seconds can count.

Cryomancy: The conjuring and control of ice in the Belnades style. The conditions and caveats of Pyromancy also apply here. Cryomancy is a bit more advanced in that the ice can be shaped and manipulated in more varied and creative ways. Thus Cryomancy is somewhat more taxing. However, Cryomancy can be made less taxing by the presence of water to freeze or of ice to simply control.

Aeromancy: The conjuring and control of gusts of wind in the Belnades style. The conditions and caveats are similar to the other styles. The primary uses of Aeromancy are for moving objects and people, and breaking falls. He can also use them in tandem with his Seraph Shoulders to glide short distances.

Electromancy: The conjuring and control of lightning in the Belnades style. THe conditions and caveats are the same. This is less versatile, as it is essentially simply flinging lightning at a desired target, but it is a powerful style. It is also the most taxing of the Speaker magics and cannot be done indefinitely.

Unique Items

Combat Cross': The Combat Cross is an alechemical weapon created by Rinaldo Gandalfi that predates the Vampire Killer. It is an iron crusifix with an internal resivoire of holy water that coats the extendable weapons at all times. These weapons include a retractable stake in the base for killing vampires, and an extendable chain that grows up to 15' in length. The chain's links have razors built into their sides, and the chain as a whole is terminated in a claw, useful for grappling.

Dark Gauntlet: The Dark Gauntlet is a gauntlet of black steel, imbued with hellish powers and great strength. It is effective for blocking, punching and slashing with the tips of the gauntlet's claw-like fingers.
-Flame Dragontail: An uppercut attack, with the gauntlet wreathed in flames. This ability can knock enemies skyward (closed fist), or can be a vicious slash attack (open hand).
-Earthquake Punch: David punches the ground with great force, causing the ground in the immediate area to shake violently, stunning or tripping up foes in melee range.
-Tremmor Punch: A straight punch with tremendous force, this can launch enemies a short distance or destroy some objects.
-Dark Press: A grapple move; David grips something small enough to fit his fingers around and crushes it while the gauntlet burns.

Cyclone Boots: Boots that allow him to sprint up to 3 times faster than a normal human could, for short distances.
-Sprint Thrust: A normal running attack empowered by the speed of the Cyclone Boots.
-Charge: Combining the Cyclone Boots' speed and the Dark Gauntlet's Tremmor Punch for a more effective knockback or object destruction.

Seraph Shoulders: A blessed artifact that once imbued the ability to fly. They are however old and damaged, and allow David to jump a second time in mid air and prevents him from harm when he falls great distances.
