Personality

She is a bit of a hyper, if not sweet girl. She'll get into the fun of things, such as pulling pranks on people or making a fool of them, but she never intends harm. She is a bit eccentric in her sexuality, but is straight for the most part. She will meet a fight head on, for better or for worse. She is very bright and will partake in simple games that only old or boring men would seem to be interested in.

Background

She grew up with high expectations in life and the dream to rise to the top and help remold the Hyuuga family into something people can see as more respectable. She graduated from the academy and made Genin rank fairly easily.

When time came to take the first Chuunin exam, she had grown too confident and arrogant in her abilities. She overlooked the fact her pet companion was not as even in ability as she was, due to her having byakugan. A bad choice she made during the chuunin exam let her win the fight she was in, but had killed her companion at the same time. She was devastated by her loss.

Since then, she had turned to not standing out much, just getting by as a genin. She sat back and did normal missions as if she had no goals in life anymore. After a while, she decided to become a medical nin, as she felt her byakugan might give her special insight into being able to healing people, more than hurting people. She works in fighting ability and medical ability as if they were equally important.

A few years later, she passed the Chuunin exams and started to wonder what type of person should be leading the village, and if it would be something she can handle.

Basic Jutsu

Kawarimi no Jutsu (Body Replacement Technique)

With this technique, one replaces their own body with a block of wood or some other object, the moment an attack lands. This creates an optical illusion, making the enemy think the attack was successful. From this, the user can use the lapse in the enemy's attention to attack or flee from the battlefield. Explosive tags can be attached to the replacement for an added surprise.

Nawanuke no Jutsu (Rope Escape Skill)

This is a ninja technique for escape from rope bindings.

Ki Nobori no Waza (Act of Tree Climbing)

The ninja focuses a fixed amount of chakra into the bottom of one's feet, using that to climb a tree without using one's hands. If too much chakra is used, one is pushed off of the tree. If too little is used, one simply slips off of it. This is a technique made to train ninjas to learn how to properly channel chakra at different levels of energy. This technique does not only apply to walking on trees. It can be used to walk on most types of surfaces. After completing learning how to use this, most ninjas are capable of using this technique without even thinking about it; it comes to them automatically.

Suimen Hokō no Waza (Act of Water Surface Walking)

A skill for ninjas to learn once they have mastered tree climbing, this takes a greater amount of skill with chakra to use due to the constantly changing nature of water itself. The ninja concentrates chakra into the bottom of their feet (or whichever body part) to repel themselves from the water's surface. This creates the effect of them walking on it as if it were solid ground. One canalso be seen 'skating' or sliding across the water with this technique. As seen with the climbing technique, the ability to do this becomes almost second nature for the ninja that has perfected how to use it. If knocked into the water, one can actually use this technique to 'grab onto' the surface of the water and pull themselves out.

Bikou Ninjutsu - Shadowing Stealth Technique

Bikou Ninjutsu is the technique ninjas use to follow their targets covertly.

Ninjutsu

Bunshin no Jutsu (Clone Technique)

This technique is merely an optical illusion. The clones created from this technique do not have shadows nor do they disrupt the area arround them. They simply mimic the movements of the person behind the technique and disappear upon contact with a solid object. This is made to confuse opponents in the middle of a battle; or throw someone into confusion otherwise.

Kage Bunshin no Jutsu (Shadow Clone Technique)

Similar to the Clone Technique, this technique creates clones of the user. However, these clones are actual copies, not illusions. The user's chakra is evenly distributed among every clone, giving each clone an equal fraction of the user's overall power. The clones are capable of performing techniques on their own and can even bleed, but will usually disperse after one or two solid blows. They can also disperse on their own. The clones will be created in roughly the same condition as the original.

Shadow clones can't be distinguished from the actual person even by the Byakugan because the clones have the exact same amount of chakra and aren't made from any other substance. Also, a side effect of the shadow clones is when they are dispersed, their chakra and memories return to the original person. This technique could be used as a great weapon for spying, as destroying the clone comes at no personal harm to the person that used the technique, and what the clone has seen is now what the person has seen.

Note: This does not mean they share memories in real time. The memories and chakra are only returned at the time the clone is dispersed, not beforehand. Also, as this technique halves the chakra of the user, Yoiko will only create up to two clones, since it will reduce her chakra down to 33% while the others are active.

Henge no Jutsu (Transformation Technique)

This technique allows the ninja to change into people other than oneself. One can also change into animals, plants and even inanimate objects (such as weapons). While using this technique, one has to constantly channel their chakra to keep the effect going. If knocked unconcious or hit hard enough, the chakra can be disrupted and the technique dispelled.

Medical Jutsu

Chakura no Mesu (Chakra Scalpel)

This medical technique forms one's chakra into a small, sharp blade. This can then be used for highly accurate incisions necessary for surgeries and anatomical dissections. Unlike regular scalpels, the chakra scalpel can actually make cuts inside the body without actually creating an open wound, limiting the risks of an infection.

The chakra scalpel can also be used offensively, although it requires great precision to be effective. Because of this requirement, using the chakra scalpel offensively is highly unusual. In heated combat, even the greatest medical-nin won't be able to exert the precision needed to make fatal cuts, but it can still effectively cut muscle tissues and tendons, rendering the target immobile.

Shōsen Jutsu (Mysical Palm Technique)

This medical ninjutsu allows the user to speed up the body's natural healing process by sending chakra from their hands into a wound or afflicted body part. This allows the user to heal a patient without the need for medical equipment or surgery, making it highly useful on the battlefield. It can be used to treat both external and internal injuries. It is vital to match the amount of chakra used to the severity of the affliction or injury. This requires a great amount of chakra control. Because of this, only a few highly skilled medical-nin are able to use this technique.

By sending an excess amount of chakra into the patient's body, the user can overload the patient's normal circulation, putting them in a temporary comatose state. The victim of this will recover on their own in a manner of a few hours to a couple days.

Chakra Enhanced Strength

This is a technique where the user focuses chakra into their hands and feet using precise chakra control and releases it with pinpoint timing, which greatly enhances their strength. Tsunade created the concept of this technique to intimidate enemies and keep them at bay while she healed injured ninja.

Ōkashō (Cherry Blossom Impact)

While some may see it as "superhuman strength", this technique is actually an application of medical ninjutsu, that demands the ability to concentrate and minute chakra control. An immense amount of chakra is kneaded inside the body, and a moment later all of it it is gathered into the fist. That chakra is then released into the target, which does a great amount of damage. With the damage done dependent on the amount of chakra used, it is also possible for a skilled shinobi to amass it in their fingertip. When the ground is hit it is pulverised into minute pieces by the excess shock, which are then scattered like flower petals, giving rise to the name "Cherry Blossom Impact".

Ranshinshō (Body Pathway Derangement)

An extremely high-level technique, used as a medical ninjutsu. The human body is controlled with electrical signals from the brain, but a person who had those electrical signals cut off with this technique will become unable to make their body move as they want. By transforming the chakra within one's body and giving it the properties of electricity, one creates an electric field. As soon as a strike of the hand lands, electricity is poured into the enemy's nervous system, severing the signals and deranging their body control. The target's body moves in any way, except how they want it to move. For the common shinobi, battle, not to mention even just walking, will become impossible. However, the victim can partially overcome the technique if they manage to relearn the connection between their brain and their limbs. This feat however is not an easy one and takes a high amount of concentration and intelligence.

Saikan Chūshutsu no Jutsu (Delicate Illness Extraction Technique)

When a person has been afflicted by a pathogen or toxin, this medical ninjutsu can be used to draw out the agent and heal the damage. The cause of the illness is first determined by perceiving disturbances in the patient's chakra. Then, using a chakra scalpel, an incision is made near the affected part. Using their chakra, the medical-nin pushes a large volume of a medicinal fluid through the incision. The fluid then draws the poison out of the affected part(s) and serves as a medium through which the poison is suspended and then forced out of the person's body. This technique thus removes the poison, while simultaneously repairing the damage caused by the poison.
After the agent is drawn out, it can be used to create an antidote or medicine after it has been analysed. This can then be given to the patient to ensure a complete recovery. This technique requires the utmost care and ability in diagnosis, incising and unmatched chakra control. Therefore, it is considered an extremely difficult technique, even among medical ninjutsu.

Sōzō Saisei (Creation Rebirth)

The absolute pinnacle of medical ninjutsu, it is the ultimate regeneration technique. By releasing the great volume of chakra stored in the White Strength Seal at once, the body's cell division is forcibly stimulated by proteins, reconstructing all organs and all tissues making up the human body. The technique itself does not regenerate the old cells, rather it hastens the creation of new ones through division. If this technique is used, a body whose vital organs are so gravely injured that it cannot bear it any longer will be instantly restored to its uninjured state. As long as one has chakra, it is impossible to die by any means, as such one gains a form of "immortality" throughout the duration of the technique. However, a body's cells can only split a certain number of times in a lifetime, and by speeding up this process, the user is basically shortening their natural lifespan. To what degree is unknown, but what is clear is that it is not great enough to cause death in battle.

Tsūtenkyaku (Heavenly Foot of Pain)

This technique is simply a falling axe kick. Tsunade concentrates her incredible strength into her heel and strikes the enemy. The power of this attack is so great that it would cause immediate death to anyone who it hit by the attack directly. It was shown that when she strikes the ground it results in a gigantic crater that can even kill an opponent caught in its immediate strike zone.

Sealing Jutsu

• Byakugō no In (Strength of a Hundred Seal): A seal developed by Tsunade that is reputed to be the pinnacle of chakra control. By storing chakra over a period of time, the user creates a seal on their forehead which keeps the chakra undisturbed for future use. Once the seal is formed, the users already impressive chakra control allows them greater physical strength or preform techniques without any wasted stamina or chakra. When released, the stored chakra goes back into the body, greatly increasing chakra flow.

• Infūin: Kai (Reserve Seal: Release): After focusing and storing an amount of chakra over a period of time in the Strength of a Hundred on the user's forehead, the user releases the chakra with this technique, dispersing the seal and pumping the chakra back into the users body. After using the chakra from the Strength of a Hundred for techniques, if there is any leftover chakra, one may use it to re-form the seal.

Kekkei Genkai - Clan Specific Jutsu

The Byakugan (White Eye)

Those who inherit the blood of this clan have almost featureless white eyes. When the Byakugan is activated, the user's pupils become more distinct, and the veins near their temples bulge.

The first ability of the Byakugan gives the user a near 360º field of vision, except for one blind spot at the back of the neck above the third thoracic vertebra. Upon activation, the wielder is granted an automatic 50 metre field of vision around themselves.

The second ability is being able to see through solid objects, as well as some degree of telescopic sight. The distance and the degree of telescopic sight varies from person to person, and can be improved. However, the Byakugan cannot see through certain barriers, such as the Four Black Fog Battle Formation used by the Sound Four. Yoiko is capable of seeing as far as five kilometers.

The third and one of the greatest uses of the Byakugan is the ability to see chakra, chakra flow, the chakra circulation system inside the body with great detail as well as the colour of chakra. It is from this particular ability that the Hyūga Clan are able to employ their ultimate attack style: Gentle Fist. The Byakugan's ability to see chakra and its flow allows the user to detect chakra sealed barriers as well as determine when genjutsu is being used. It was shown that the Byakugan can also discern a transformation and a real person using the eye's ability to see chakra.

Byakugan also has other abilities; the ability to magnify and zoom, effectively seeing every small insect in the area and to see the infrared spectrum allowing one to detect things through their body heat.

Constantly using the Byakugan over a long period of time causes severe eye strain in the user. This however, is not a permanent side effect.

Hyūga Jutsu

• Jūken (Gentle Fist): The Gentle Fist is a form of hand-to-hand combat used by members of the Hyūga clan. It inflicts internal damage through attacking the body's Chakra Pathway System, subsequently injuring organs which are closely intertwined with the area of the network which has been struck. To do this, the user surgically injects a certain amount of their own chakra into the opponent's chakra pathway system, causing damage to surrounding organs due to their proximity to the chakra circulatory system. Even the slightest tap can cause severe internal damage, hence the name "gentle" fist.

Because the chakra pathway system is invisible to the naked eye, the Byakugan is required for this style to be used effectively. Since the Byakugan is unique to the Hyūga clan, it has become their signature style of combat.

• Chakra Needle Technique: After focusing chakra outside the body, it is then formed into needles and propelled at the target. By using Byakugan, this technique can be used to hit very small targets, such as bees.

• Hakkeshō Kaiten (Eight Trigrams Palms Revolving Heaven): A secret taijutsu that is orally handed down only within the main house of the Hyuga, this technique utilises the chakra control gained through Gentle Fist training to release a huge amount of chakra from all the chakra points on the user's body. It is also a defensive maneuver to compensate for the Byakugan's blind spot as the released chakra blocks any possible attack on the user. After releasing chakra from every tenketsu in their body, the user then spins rapidly to parry the attack, both creating a rotating shield of chakra around themselves and tossing away any nearby attackers. The user can also actively control the size and power of the sphere to suit the situation. This technique is only effective when rotating, since the chakra itself is not enough to stop a physical attack thus if they cannot spin, the user becomes vulnerable.

• Hakke Kūshō (Eight Trigrams Vacuum Palm): This technique is similar in practice to Eight Trigrams Palms Revolving Heaven, but has a specific target rather than a general area. To perform it, the user precisely pinpoints the enemy's vital points with the Byakugan and releases a high-speed palm thrust. A "vacuum shell" compressed using the Gentle Fist is formed to attack the opponent's vitals from a distance, blowing them off their feet with tremendous force before they even notice they were hit.

• Shōtei (Palm Bottom): :This attack consists of a quick, precise thrust of the users' palm to an opponent's body. Like other Gentle Fist techniques, it sends chakra into the target to cause internal damage which will temporarily paralyse an opponent.

Inuzuka Ninjutsu

• Enhanced Smell: By default, Yoiko has an enhanced sense of smell, able to passively smell things to a much better degree than the average human. She can drive this sense of smell further when she channels chakra through her nose, causing her sense of smell to be magnified to roughly a thousand times better than a human. The flaw to this ability is even though she can track things better using this, powerful smells are even more powerful to her and work against her.

• Enhanced Hearing: By default, Yoiko has an enhanced sense of hearing, comparable to that of a canine.

• Shikyaku no Jutsu (Four Legs Technique): This technique grants animal-like accelerated fighting instinct and reflexes to the user. By enveloping their entire body in chakra and moving on all fours, they can obtain high speed movement and reflexes like that of a wild animal. Taught only to the members of the Inuzuka clan, this technique forms the basis of a Inuzuka clan member's taijutsu fighting style, and will add even more to their feral-like appearances; their canine teeth, their finger and toenails grow to claw-like length, their eyes also become more wild with their pupils becoming slits.

When under the effects of this technique, an Inuzuka will display great feats of physical strength, speed, agility and endurance. The form is best suited for using and supporting the ferocious "hit-and-run" tactics that the clan is well known for, leaving the enemy barely any time to launch a counter attack. This fighting style is named Beast Human Taijutsu (獣人体術, Jūjin Taijutsu; Literally meaning "Beast Human Body Technique") by Kiba and it contains many attacks such as secret techniques.

Inuzuka Taijutsu

• Tsūga (Passing Fang): The user spins at a ferocious speed and delivers many powerful beast-like attacks when contact is made with the target. The damage it can inflict on a human target can be extremely damaging, as it can readily tear through thick tree branches and chakra reinforced earth wall; all of which with a radius thicker than the user itself.

• Tenga (Rotating Fang): The user rolls at a ferocious speed in a buzz-saw like shape, and deliver many powerful beast-like attacks when contact is made with the target.

Powers & Merits

• Gall (2): You got moxy, kid. You get a +1 bonus to any Social roll requiring backbone.
• Clear Sighted (3): You are not fooled by illusions, and you get an Alertness roll to see through illusions, Difficulty 7, any time you face one.
• Common Sense (1): You are full of practical wisdom. A great merit for starting characters, as you may receive advice from the GM regarding how to handle certain situations.
• Graceful (2): You are extremely agile and delicate in your movements. +1 Bonus on all Dexterity rolls. Botches will still hurt, but it is possible to gracefully fall down, and you'll die before you look clumsy.
• Soothing Voice (2): You have an entrancing voice. When using your voice (speeches, singing, poetry), you get a +2 Bonus on Social rolls. When making casual conversation, +1 Bonus.
• Good Old Boy/Girl (2): You're just a nice person, and people recognize and appreciate that. +1 Bonus on social rolls when interacting with your fellow folk.

Items Of Note

• Locket: She wears this at all times. It contains a picture of the animal companion she had lost in her early career. A reminder that she has to take life seriously.

• Hyuuga Clan Secret Healing Cream: An ointment the Hyuuga Clan has for healing wounds. It's pretty effective.

Weaknesses & Flaws

• Curiosity (2): Your incredible curiosity often overrides your common sense. Resisting temptation requires a successful Wits roll, difficulty depending on the situation. A very bad flaw to take with certain evil sadistic GMs.

• Soft-hearted (1): You can't stand to witness suffering, and if you do, all your rolls are at -2 penalty for the next hour.
• Overconfident (1): You think you can do everything even though you probably can't, and you try to prove your belief as often as possible.

• Isolated Upbringing (1): You were raised in your supernatural society, or were somehow otherwise sequestered away from "normal" life, so you have trouble dealing with this Outside-World thing. Dealing with any community outside the one in which you were raised raises a -1 Penalty on Social rolls, when RP'ing accomodates it. (She was raised in a ninja world. Things be weird here.)
