Appearance

With short teal hair and a regulation jumpsuit (he admits that he has no idea as to *what* regulation), Shannon seems very imposing, with a slender build and constantly sleepy-looking eyes.

Personality

Shannon Moore is an android - detached, analytical, and quiet. He rarely speaks unless spoken to, finding many such things unnecessary - he'd seem a lot less human if it wasn't for his 'brothers' in Gradius, who have struggled to get him out of what they perceive as an impersonal shell. He is not easily annoyed, nor is he prone to emotional outbursts, but he is capable of both.

Shannon suffers at times from being *too* quiet - often, he will have entered a room without anyone noticing that he's been there at all.

Background

On a planet in a dimension somewhere far, far removed from here, in a place known only as The End, a terrible, massive dimensional displacement occurred, dropping over one hundred people from various realities all over the cityscape. Three of those people were young teenage boys, crashing into an old, decayed restaurant and suffering serious head trauma, much to the surprise and dismay of the restaurant's owner, Darren Elway. The boys were left with severe amnesia, not knowing their pasts or where they came from, despite possessing unique, exceptional powers and abilities. Elway, seeing no other choice and fearful that they would be exploited for those powers, kept them as his own children.

The End itself was a cityscape that sprawled all over the planet it was on - it was a hive of wretches, of crime and of poverty, and one of the boys couldn't stand it. Shannon was only cognizant of one thing - he was not like the other two, and was certainly not human...and he knew his name. With the other two boys, Elias Jerico and Jimmy O'Toole, Shannon helped form Gradius - a small, always recruiting organization intent on cleaning up the streets and bringing justice to people that couldn't, becoming what he preferred to think of as 'the fists of the voiceless'.

Gradius met very few people whose views aligned with theirs in the End, and when a single PARADIGM agent appeared on a solo mission, it changed their entire dynamic to know that there were *others* who fought for the same ideals. For...the good guys.

Upon learning of her death, Gradius unanimously decided that their interests were best served in another way.

Revenge.

Skills

(These include all learned skills, as well as a relative rating from Abyssmal to Amazing. The character's level of mastery in something that can be taught or at least rated by other people follows the scale: Abyssmal, Novice, Good, Very Good, Incredible, Amazing)

Physical Skills:

  • Alertness: Incredible (+4)
  • Athletics: Incredible (+4)
  • Stealth: Incredible (+4)

Social Skills:

  • Subterfuge: Incredible (+4)
  • Streetwise: Incredible (+4)
  • Intimidation: Abysmal (-1)
  • Performance: (Drums) Very Good (+3)

Mental Skills:

  • Computers: Incredible (+4)
  • Investigation: Incredible (+4)
  • Science: Very Good (+3)
  • Technology: Very Good (+3)

Other Skills:

  • Driving: Very Good (+3)
  • Survival: Very Good (+3)

Special Abilities

(These are skills, things that can be learned or trained, like martial arts techniques, Jutsu or magic spells. Abilities that are outside the norm of regular humans, but only because they have not had access to them.)
None.

Powers & Merits

(Unique, or hereditary, in-born powers, whether due to genetics or magic, things that can't be taught to others or simply gifted to this person from an outside force. Powers based on weapons should go in the Items. Merits can also go here.)

Shannon is an android - his CPU grants him vast intelligence and competence, while his reinforced skeleton gives him incredible durability, as well as exceptional strength, as one would expect from an android. He's much less flesh than your traditional cyborg - while he bleeds, he has more mechanical and obviously artificial bits inside of him. He is capable of lifting tons if he has to, but can suffer structural damage if maintained for too long.

He is also an exceptional learner and keenly observant - he can learn many things like techniques and martial arts through simple cold observation, if repeated before him enough times, and if his body is capable of it.

Shannon also has a very difficult time being noticed in a crowd. He cannot explain why this is - this is not a supernatural effect, or any kind of effect he causes. He simply tends to unconsciously blend in the background.

Clear Sighted (3): You are not fooled by illusions, and you get an Alertness roll to see through illusions, Difficulty 7, any time you face one. (Shannon's eyes aren't natural - they're enhanced to pick up irregularities.)

Poison Resistance (2): You have an innate ability to resist the effects of many toxins. Whenever you need to roll to resist poisons, you get a +2 Bonus. (Shannon's blood actively filters toxins and poisons.)

Eidetic Memory (2): Having a "photographic" memory, you can accurately recall any sight or sound with a successful Alertness roll. The higher you roll the more you remember. You also rarely forget -anything-. (Even though Shannon suffers from amnesia, from the point of his meeting Gradius, his cybernetic brain has been able to work perfectly, able to record any and all details. He uses this at times to attempt moves he's been able to study, and to observe the movements of his enemies for weaknesses.)

Concentration (1): You are very good at focusing, and suffer no penalty for distractions, stress or having to repeat yourself often.

Loyalty (1 - Gradius): You are devoted to a person, group, or cause, and easily resist attempts to persuade you away from the object of your loyalty. Any attempts to make you betray this person/cause/whatever is done with an opposed roll where you get a +2 bonus. Again, like the code of honor, you must always be loyal to this person or risk losing this benefit. (Shannon is fiercely loyal to Gradius - he can't fathom the thought of betraying them in any way.)

Unique Items

(Madougu, magical weapons or other unique or special weapons, as well as all techniques related to them, as without it technically the character is NOT able to use these abilities.)
None.

Items Of Note

Shannon possesses a single knife found lodged in Elias Jerico's ribs when he was found. He has kept this a secret from Elias the entire time he has known him, but keeps it, as it is the only possible link to his past.

Weaknesses & Flaws

While Shannon's flesh can be magically healed, any damage to his bones - which are incredibly dense and hard to affect - cannot be healed through magical means or even through modern medicine. Similarly, hostile programs or attempts at his CPU cannot be cured magically. He *must* be repaired by someone with a Technology Rank of Very Good or better, whether on the spot or back at the Inn, and he also requires routine maintenance due to the wear and tear of metal, wiring, and computer parts inside of him, rather than normal flesh bits.

Amnesia (2): You have no memory of your past, or at least are missing a significant portion of it.

Offensive to Animals (1): For some reason, animals fear you or just don't like you. All rolls involving interacting with animals are at a -1 Penalty. Some creatures (Vampires, Werewolves, Robots) have this naturally, so taking it again makes the animals actively antagonistic towards you, and may bite you or pee on you. (Shannon is a synth - he doesn't understand animals and it's mutual.)

Disturbing Mannerism (2): You have a habit or character trait which is peculiar, gross, or annoying. You may not even be aware of it-but boy, everyone else is. Penalties of social rolls are increased at the GM's discretion. (Shannon tends to just...not say anything if he feels he has nothing to say. This is very...very...very often.)
