Special Abilities

Daichi knows some basic martial arts, to the point he uses it to avoid attacks and counter.
He does not yet fully know how to fight or a specific style to inflict pain.

Powers & Merits

Powers

Daichi has no special magical powers on his own. The magic he has comes from Dark. Dark has to be in control to be able to cast his powers. Wiz also has magic of his own, though to a less degree than dark.
Daichi can forcibly use Dark's magic if he wants, though at a cost of extreme pain and potentially damaging his body with the stress of it all.

Dark's Magic

  • Wings: Dark is able to form black feathered wings out of his body and take flight. The process of summoning the wings is extremely painful to the host and will leave him feeling week for days afterwards.
  • Bind: Dark's feathers can be thrown to move into a flying position around someone. Once there, the energy from the feathers will move to connect to each other in a formation around the target and move to bind them. The connection can be magical or physical. Through this means, he can attempt to restrict the movements of an enemy. This move can be resisted.
  • Seal: Dark's magic feathers can seal the magic of an object, or at least subdue it for a short amount of time. He takes a feather (or multiple feathers) and concentrates his energy through them to form a barrier around an object and suppress the abilities of it. Depending if the item is hostile or not, he may try to fully disable/put the item to sleep. This ability does not work well on other people as they can simply move or counter attack to fight off the effects of the feathers. The feathers will be placed against the object/person, or set up in an arrangement surrounding the target, depending on the strength of said target.
  • Unseal: Dark's magic feathers again, but working in the opposite effect. If an item is dormant, he can use his magic to activate the item. An example would be a portal leading to a different area is deactivated. He can temporary charge it and allow it to be accessed for a moment of time. If he had an item that would heal another person, he could activate it as well. This effect only lasts as long as he channels magic through the feathers. If the item has a conscience or ability to maintain its own magic, once he has activated it, it may continue working until he attempts to re-seal the ability. The feathers will be placed against the object/person, or set up in an arrangement surrounding the target, depending on the strength of said target.
  • Call Wiz: Dark has a deep magical connection to Wiz. He can call his little companion to his side regardless of his location.

Wiz's Magic

  • Dark Form: Wiz is an entity of magic, and can take on a black form of itself with wings to fly.
  • Dark's Wings: Wiz can connect with Dark's body to form black feathered wings for him to fly with. As the normal wings ability of Dark causes great pain to his host, he uses Wiz as his wings instead.
  • Transformation: Wiz can take on the form of a human being and use basic language skills to communicate. He can also perform simple tasks, but is not very athletic and is unable to swim. This ability can be used to look like Dark or Daichi alike, to throw other people off.

Merits

  • Danger Sense (3): "Oh no! My Spider Senses are tingling!" A successful Alertness roll, difficulty depending on the situation, will give you a timely sense of foreboding before something bad happens...
  • Clear Sighted (3): You are not fooled by illusions, and you get an Alertness roll to see through illusions, Difficulty 7, any time you face one.
  • Double-Jointed (1): +1 Bonus on any roll involving flexibility, or escaping.
  • Catlike Balance (2): +1 Bonus to rolls relating to balance.
  • Ability Aptitude "Stealth" (1): Pick a single skill, talent, or knowledge: you're a whiz at whatver this is. +1 Bonus to all rolls using this ability.

Unique Items

  • Dark Feathers: Though Dark does not call upon the full wings normally, he can magically make feathers from his wings appear in his hand. They are necessary for him to perform his magic feats.

  • Wrist Mounted Crossbow: A compact crossbow that fires miniature bolts at an accuracy of up to fifty feet. This crossbow has a laser sight to make accuracy dead on. The crossbow comes with the following bolts.
    • Steel Bolt: A normal steel bolt for dealing damage.
    • Silver Bolt: A silver tipped bolt.
    • Electric Bolt: A bolt that releases an electric shock upon impact for disabling systems/shorting out circuitry.
  • Folding Bow: A newage bow that folds up and snaps out into a full bow for use on the fly. This has arrows matching the crossbow bolts, but stronger versions.

Weaknesses & Flaws

  • Compulsion "Stealing Unique Valuables" (1): He likes money, and can very easily be bribed to do very stupid things. This also means he might try to take an expensive item he sees purely out of habit of being a thief.
  • Dark Secret "Youre the Phantom Theif" (1): It'd be very bad if the public eye realized he was Dark Mousy.
  • Geas "Turning into DARK" (3): It is not quite explained with Daichi why he transforms into Dark, but it is said that feelings of affection, or love, cause the transformation. Daichi can not actively control the transformation, though at times it may happen out of his need to become Dark based on the situation. Can be an embarassment if it happens at the wrong time.

Dark Mousy (ダーク・マウシー, Daaku Maushī)

Dark Mousy is the phantom thief living within Daichi. He has his own personality, memories and emotions. He lives on in the first born male son in the Niwa family, his memories and personality somehow persisting throughout multiple hosts. It is said that he disappears from the person once they find their true love and their true love acknowledges them for everything they are.
Dark Mousy is the result of an ancestor of Daichi trying to steal a piece of art from a rival family. The man interrupted the last moments of the greatest piece of work being completed. An explosion occured, infusing the Niwas with the DNA of Dark, while the other family ended up with the DNA of Krad, the other half of the artwork.
Dark may seem a bit flirty and eccentric and childishly rude, but is a nice and caring good guy. His primary reason for stealing art pieces is due to the connection to the Hiwatari family and Krad. The Hiwatari art always comes with magic, goor or bad, that must be sealed away. His stealing the pieces to steal them is why he is known as the phantom thief.

Wiz (ウィズ, Wizu)

Wiz is the so-called familiar of Dark Mousy. He has existed as long as Dark has been in the Niwa Family, being the family pet for generations.
Wiz appears to look like a bunny, but has obvious differences in appearance.
He is currently the pet of Daichi Niwa, the current host of Dark Mousy.
