Personality

Social, relatively friendly, albeit with a bit of a calm air about him, Midou is actually a very calculating man with a LOT of plans going on at once. A very clever strategic mind always on the look out for a challenge, Midou quietly and determinedly does all he can to overcome his obstacles, ready to do anything to accomplish his goals.
Also makes it a passtime to knock people down a few pegs when they're being unrightfully arrogant.

Background

Midou is the fourth child (among many) of Uchiha Irumi and Shin. From a young age he... was nothing special, really, save for an apparently very bright child, able to pick up skills like reading and other such things. When training began, Midou showed exceptional skill and a high learning rate. He was very good at techniques that required agility and intelligence, as well as incredibly fast at turning a bad situation into a crushing victory. While not always perfect, he was better at making a mistake into a miracle than simply cruising through.
Because of this, Irumi was exceptionally merciless to his (and a few others') training. If he could do better than the others then she'd challenge him more, not simply praise him and leave him to his devices. This led to a very strenuous life as a ninja, but also an exceptional career, because there wasn't really much Midou didn't like to challenge himself against, either through brains or brawn. Because of this, Midou worked hard and used his given abilties to rise through the ranks fast, becoming a Jounin at the age of 14.
He's already begun to help Genin in difficulty, because after figuring out what it is that he wanted to do, the ultimate challenge and the ultimate help to Konoha. Become the next Hokage.

Basic Jutsu

Bunshin no Jutsu: This technique must be mastered by any ninja who has graduated from the Academy at the Hidden Leaf Village. It's the most basic technique a Genin must know, since it can be a real lifesaver. This ninjutsu creates a shadow clone of the caster.
Henge no Jutsu: Henge no Jutsu is the basic skill a ninja must know to become a Genin. It is a very useful and widely used skill in the series, as it has many uses. It's mostly used as a decoy, to confuse the opponent by transforming into somebody that's an ally with the enemy.
Kawarimi no Jutsu: The Body Substitute skill is a widely used and very famous skill among shinobis. Put simply, the user uses speed to his/her advantage, and grabs an item from the environment and places it on his/her current position while moving out of the way.
Bikou Ninjutsu - Shadowing Stealth Technique: Bikou Ninjutsu is the technique ninjas use to follow their targets covertly. The manner in which the ninja shadows their target can differ, from the basic hiding under a nearby object, to using a jutsu to turn oneself invisible.
Nawanuke no Jutsu - Escaping Skill: Rank: E - Nawanuke no Jutsu is a very basic Ninjutsu technique that allows a ninja to escape from rope binds.
Shunshin no Jutsu - Body Flicker Technique: Rank: D - Shunshin no Jutsu is a basic Ninjutsu technique. The ninja will appear and disappear in an instant, allowing them to retreat or attack suddenly. To facilitate the movement the ninja will often use nearby elements such as mist, sand or leaves to mask their appearance or disappearance.

Taijutsu

Kage Shuriken no Jutsu: This is a really useful technique for ninjas who fight by tricking opponents. Shadow Shuriken, also known as Evil wind Shuriken Shadow Windmill, uses a Fuma Shuriken (a big, aerodynamically designed shuriken with curved blades).
Shishi Rendan - Lion Combo: Rank: C - Shishi Rendan is a Taijutsu technique developed by Uchiha Sasuke after he used his Sharingan to copy the movements of fellow Leaf ninja Rock Lee. Sasuke first uses the Konoha Kage Buyou to manuever his opponent in a vulnerable aerial position. While shadowing his opponent, Sasuke will attempt to strike them from a vulnerable angle. If he is unable to make a clean strike, he will strike anyway as a feint, to draw his target's attention and defense to one area. He can then strike the undefended area and begin knocking them downwards towards the ground. As the enemy falls back to the earth, Sasuke will deftly rotate his body around to deliver a full force kick to their chest.

Ninjutsu

Sumi Bunshin -Ink Clone: This jutsu creates clones out of ink. The clones revert back to ink once damaged enough.
Sumi Fueru No Jutsu - Ink Increase Jutsu: This Jutsu allows Midou to drop ink in shadow, increase the darkness around him, then hide in it, without needing to use a jutsu. This is MOSTLY useful for hiding with someone else, or an item from sight.
Sumikiri no Jutsu: By focussing his chakra through his ink, Midou draws a pattern in the air, and the target is in anarea (about 30' x 30' x 30') of pure blackness, with the smell and taste of ink. This miasma of ink is used to unfocus and disturb people, by cutting off their senses just enough to be useless.
Sumi Ude no Jutsu - Arms of Ink: Midou pours ink on the ground, then activates it with a handseal and chakra. This causes ink black tentacles to form from the ground, each with a strength equivalent to a full grown man. Naturally, the tentacles are vulnerable to solvent or fire. Each quart of ink spilled requires extra chakra though only one set of handseals need to be performed. One quart can summon 4 tentacles. Shin's current record is 40 tentacles, at full chakra.
Choujuu Giga - Drawn Beasts': Midou draws creatures on his scroll, then uses this technique to animate them. The animals can act as the corresponding animal would. For example, a bird can be used for espionage or flight depending on its size, while a tiger can attack and maul an opponent. Midou can also control them for other purposes.
Chitai Ansatsu no Jutsu - Delayed Assassination Skill: This Jutsu needs to be prepared in advance. After a series of handseals, Midou can dip his novelty throwing or stabbing weapons (quills, chinese ink pens, what have you) in the ink, creating a solid tip. This tip stays 'stuck' to the weapon, until Midou connects with his target. This target will then feel the pain of the attack, and possibly remove the weapon, now or later. The power of this Jutsu (which Midou needs to activate with a word on contact) will send the ink tip into the blood stream, eventually making it's way to the heart, within 1 to 10 days. Once there, the solid ink will explode, causing the heart to burst. The ink will then disolve among the blood and fluids there, leaving little to no trace of the cause of death (save heart failure jokes).
Genjutsu Kai: A Ninjutsu technique where the ninja focuses their chakra and screams "kai" or "release." They can perform it on themselves or on others. It will effectively ward off most Genjutsu, unless extremely powerful or when used in conjunction with an advanced bloodline.

Elemental Ninjutsu

Katon: Goukakyuu no Jutsu - Fire Release: Large Fireball: This Ninjutsu is a very powerful technique, and most Genins are not capable of performing it due to the large amount of chakra it uses. The user must first gather a large amount of chakra in his hand and mouth; this attack is pretty similar to a flamethrower.
Katon: Housenka no Jutsu - Fire Release: Phoenix Tail: Another technique which originally belongs to the Uchiha clan, Katon Housenka is a very powerful and flexible technique. Instead of following the way of the other fire techniques, Housenka is unique by creating many small, yet powerful fireballs from the users mouth.
Katon: Karyuu Endan - Fire Release: Flame Dragon Great Blaze: A Katon (flame type) Ninjutsu technique where the ninja inhales deeply, drawing in a full chest of air. They then exhale, producing a very wide stream of flames that approach their target as a huge wall.
Katon: Ryuuka no Jutsu - Fire Release: Dragon Flame: Yet another powerful fire elemental NinJutsu, which also happened to be very common in members of the elite Uchiha Clan. This is believed to be the second strongest of the fire NinJutsus, just below its "cousin", Fire Release: Flame Dragon Great Blaze.
Suiton: Suirou no Jutsu - Water Release: Water Prison: A Ninjutsu technique that controls the density of water, creating a heavy area of water that become a bubble-like prison that is inescapable so long as the user maintains their concentration.
Suiton: Daibakufu no Jutsu - Water Release: Great Explosion: A Suiton (water type) Ninjutsu technique using water as its base. The ninja manipulates the water around them into a cyclonic explosion that rips into its victim like a tsunami. It has enough force to tear apart solid ground and uproot trees.
Suiton: Suigadan - Water Release: Water Fang Projectile: Suiton • Suigadan is a Ninjutsu technique utilizing the Water Element. The ninja does a string of hand seals to cause a nearby body of water to form a spinning drill.
Suiton: Suiryuudan no Jutsu - Water Release: Water Dragon Bullet: A Suiton (water type) Ninjutsu technique using water as its base. The ninja manipulates the water around them into the shape of a large dragon that attacks their opponent as a torrential blast. First performed by Momochi Zabuza and Hatake Kakashi, simultaneously, in chapter fifteen.

Sealing Ninjutsu

Bakuretsufuu - Explosive Seal: A Fuuinjutsu (sealing technique) where a seal is placed upon a piece of paper, creating an effect upon the paper that causes an explosion. These seals can be made in the field, but are more commonly bought by or given to ninjas as equipment, like kunai and shuriken.
Fuuja Houin - Evil Sealing Method: Rank: A - Fuuja Houin is a Fuuinjutsu technique used to counter-act the effects of a cursed seal. The ninja writes the needed seal characters on the ground and body of the person cursed with the seal. The ninja then forms the needed hand seals and places his hand over the cursed seal and then activates the written seal. The seal characters will then retreat to surround the cursed seal in a circular seal. Though the Fuuja Houin can work well against lesser seals, it will not be able to fully stop a cursed seal placed by a powerful, skilled ninja.

Genjutsu

Magen • Narakumi no Jutsu - Demonic Illusion • Hell Viewing Technique: Rank: D - Narakumi no Jutsu is a Genjutsu technique that causes its target to see a horrifying vision. The ninja will use the serpent hand seal to cause a circle of leaves to spin and envelop the target and then fall away. Once cast the world will appear normal to the target until they see the illusion.
Nehan Shouja no Jutsu - Temple of Nirvana Technique Rank: A - Nehan Shouja no Jutsu is a Genjutsu technique that allows the caster to place a large body of people into a unconscious state. The target can avoid the spell by forming and using the dispel skill.

Powers & Merits

Midou is an Uchiha, so he is naturally gifted as a Shinobi. More importantly, however, Midou is actually gifted with the 'Sharingan, a special Bloodline Limit, allowing him to use the following abilities.

Sharingan - Copying Wheel Eye

Sharingan is the blood inheritance limit of the Uchiha Clan. The Uchiha are said to be descendants of the Hyuuga, with the Byakugan changing into the Sharingan over time. This doujutsu (eye skill) gives one the ability to read Genjutsu, Taijutsu and Ninjutsu and then defeat it. As such, the clan member can view a technique being performed and almost instantly memorize the movements required to be able to complete it, including the needed chakra moldings and seals used. However the clan member cannot copy techniques that are unique to another bloodline and the clan member must have a body capable of meeting the chakra and physical requirements to do the jutsu. This rarely stops the clan member though, as such stressful situations often push their limits farther and allow them to harness their full potential.
The Uchiha clan member is not granted the Sharingan at birth; it is only activated later in life, typically during a time of emotional stress in the heat of battle. The Sharingan itself can be transferred to another non-Uchiha by a medical ninja, such as happened with Leaf ninja Uchiha Obito to his teammate Hatake Kakashi. Because his body was not born to carry the Sharingan, the eye is always activated and it burns Kakashi's chakra when used. To lessen the impact of the Sharingan on Kakashi's body, he normally keeps the eye hidden and out of use. Also of note, is the fact Kakashi, a non-Uchiha, was able to advance the Sharingan from two tomoe to three tomoe after gaining the eye.
The Sharingan itself contains three tomoe (comma). A higher mastery of the Sharingan can be seen in the creation of a new tomoe in the eye, with three tomoe being the typical highest form of the eye. The rare Mangekyou form is a unique evolution of the Sharingan beyond the three tomoe form, please see its entry for more information. An eye possessing two tomoe can allow the Uchiha clan member to track the movement of an opponent and do some minor copying of an opponents attack. For avoiding incoming attacks, the Uchiha's speed and agility will greatly control whether they can move to avoid it. However, three tomoe will greatly help in this area. Two tomoe will also allow the ninja to pierce Genjutsu and see the surrounding reality for what it really is. It can also allow the member to pierce another’s body and see their chakra. While the eye is not refined enough to see the tenketsu and chakra circulatory system like the Byakugan, it can view the movement and flow of chakra. This can help them tell if a person is trapped in a Genjutsu, or if an attacker is a real threat or merely a bunshin.
An eye containing three tomoe will allow the ninja to see the image of an attacker’s next move from the slightest muscle tension in their body. This prevents wasteful movement and allows the Uchiha clan member to conserve much needed chakra in battle. It allows them to synchronize their movement to strike at an area moments before their opponent is even in that spot, essentially allowing them to strike out and hit their opponent before they're even there. Three tomoe also grants the Uchiha the ability to do Genjutsu and hypnosis after locking eyes with an enemy. This can be used to cause their opponent to do an attack of the Uchiha's choosing. This hypnosis can also be used as a Genjutsu counter, which is the ability to turn a Genjutsu spell back upon the original caster without the requirement of forming any handseals.

Sharingan Jutsu

Kazaguruma no Sharingan: Sanjuuken - Sharingan Windmill: Triple Blade: A Taijutsu technique utilizing the Sharingan's ability to see through the opponent's jutsu. This attack requires three blades, at least, to be thrown at the opponent from both of the ninja's hands, and the ninja's mouth. Strings attached to the blades allow for them to be further manipulated after the initial attack. Only member of the Uchiha Clan, ninjas with the Sharingan, can use this technique.
Magen • Kyouten Chiten - Demonic Illusion • Mirror Heaven and Earth Change: Magen • Kyouten Chiten is a Genjutsu technique unique to the Uchiha bloodline Sharingan holders. Using the copy and counter functions of the Sharingan eye, the Uchiha clan member can stop the sensory spell cast on their body and reverse it back on their opponent.
Magen • Seishin Seiha - Demonic Illusion • Mind Domination: Magen • Seishin Seiha is a special hybrid of Two Jutsu Midou developped to use his Sharingan's innate ability to affect the mind and an interrogation Genjutsu, then refined it into an aggressive, order giving Jutsu. By staring someone in the eye and using Sharingan to activate the Interrogation Genjutsu, he forces the user's mind into a state of obedience, allowing him to give an order and have this person follow it, which they will forget about when they finish the command.
This order cannot go against a person's nature, nor can it be blatantly self destructive. However, it can be used to force someone to do something they don't like or want (Vomit, Scream) to do, or more complex orders like 'Go inside your base, open the door and let us in'. However, this will only function as a basic order, ordering an enemy ninja to open the gates isn't a big deal, but the enemy ninja will not be sneaking past or doing what's the smartest course, and may very well be intercepted. The more precise the command the better, but the more chakra needs to be spent. The power is more or less effective in different circumstances (Ordering a violent person to kill his hostage is very likely to work, ordering a waitress to steal a samurai's wallet is not). The mind however, is a powerful tool. Once ordered to do something, this Jutsu cannot be used on the person again for at least two days (moreso on other Genjutsu users), so Midou has to be EXCEPTIONALLY careful how this power works. He can also make it work on trigger (Example: When you see the Bat in the sky, throw the switch) or on a time delay (Tommorow at 3:15 AM, walk down to the shed).
Magen • Jagan - Demonic Illusion • Evil Eye: Magen • Jagan is a dangerously efficient Genjutsu. Needing eye contact (like.. most Sharingan Jutsu), Jagan uses the Sharingan's innate hypnotism power to mix and merge two other Genjutsu into a single mind trap Jutsu in three stages. Forcing the mind into a more suggestible state (Doujutsu), and then using the Hell Viewing Illusion Genjutsu (to show them a 'horrible' vision) or the Uchiha Finger Genjutsu (A scene while mind trapped), this leaves the victim living their illusion and beliving it to be 100% real until it ends, one minute later.
This time can be cut short by using a Genjutsu Kai on the target, but the target himself cannot fight his way out of it, without Sharingan, and is trapped for one minute in this illusion, unaware of outward stimuli. THIS IS NOT TSUKUYOMI.
While the target may end up in terror or even puking from the illusion, it's just that. He will not die even if nuked in his mind and his heart cannot be made to fail unless this was a viable possibility anyways (I.E., this person has a serious heart problem and you shouldn't Boo! them..) However, the mind is a powerful tool, and once used on a person they're immune to it for about a day.

Weaknesses & Flaws

Chakra Dependent: Midou's chakra reserves are worthy of a jounin but nothing to write home about. A lot of his more powerful techniques are somewhat draining, and he can't do much more than use them once or twice a day without needing some time to rest. Doing an entire battle with Sharingan Jutsu will drain him rather fast.
Item Dependant: Suiton, Midou's specialty, generally require available water. His drawing based Jutsu are also dependent on his inks (or any ink), which makes Midou less effective in combat if he's away from water or stripped of his inks.
