- Special:
Appearance
At six feet tall, he was tall for the era when he was turned, though this has grown to be an unremarkable height as modern conveniences made people grow taller. He takes great amusement from human fiction about vampires, and he likes to play into the image of the classy, erudite vampire. As such he tends to dress well, though perhaps a little behind the times in terms of fashion.
Personality
Stefan has come to terms with what he’s become. Though he initially went through a cycle of emotional reactions to being made a vampire, he has decided that he cannot change what has happened, and may as well make the best of it. He grew to care deeply for the vampire that sired him, even though he could never be the man she pined for. He misses her, and occasionally goes into depressed moods because of this. Normally however, he is a bit of a hedonist, he loves to indulge in the pleasures still available to him, and is endlessly entertained by humanity. He is not shy to feed on them, but rarely feeds fatally, and has not sired another. He takes great delight in the works created by mankind, and is amazed by the rate of progress they have shown since he was turned. When he lets his full vampiric nature loose, his behavior becomes more aggressive and demanding, and his hungers turn darker.
Background
Stefan was turned into a vampire, by the Third Generation Vampire Camille Innao Camilla. She wandered the seas, from port to port, pining for her lost love Alucard Von Mosquiton. She often fed on travelers, and one day, she came across a young man enroute from New York to London, and was stricken by something about him. It was inexact, but there was something about him that reminded her of her love and sire. He was stricken by her beauty, and made the foolish attempt to woo this mysterious lady. Camille, caught up in his passion, and drunk on nostalgia turned Stefan into a Vampire. She taught him what she herself had been taught, and kept him for a time as a surrogate for her lost love, but ultimately she could not bear it, no matter how hard he tried, he was too different. She sent him out into the world, and continued sailing the seas in sorrow.

Special Abilities

None.
Powers & Merits
(Unique, or hereditary, in-born powers, whether due to genetics or magic, things that can't be taught to others or simply gifted to this person from an outside force. Powers based on weapons should go in the Items. Merits can also go here.)
Powers
- Vampiric Telekinesis - Vampires of this bloodline possess the ability to manipulate objects without touching them. Stefan’s level of ability with this is low, and requires direct line of sight and concentration to perform. While others have demonstrated a greater degree of this ability, Stefan has not honed this skill beyond the basics.
- Vampiric Flight - Vampires of the Mosquiton bloodline possess the ability to fly and levitate without evident force. No flapping or physical exertion of force is required.
- “Blood Mode” - The Ravenous Vampiric Beast within is unleashed and the vampire’s powers and abilities are enhanced. Trails of blood running down from the eyes, as well as the eyes turning bloody red are the sign of this state. In this condition Stefan is less humane, more ruthless and aggressive. This state can be reached by feeding directly upon an individual, or through burning up stored reserves of power. The longer since he has fed, the weaker his reserves will be.
- Shadow Blade - Stefan’s Grand-sire Mosquiton could form a scythe out of the stuff of shadows, and was even powerful enough to conjure a shadowy doppelganger of himself to attack a target. Stefan has not quite mastered those levels of usage, but he has refined the ability enough to form swords and knives of the same material. Like his progenitor’s progenitor, he can with effort pull a physical copy of the object from the shadows themselves. He is incredibly limited in his abilities related to this unless he is in blood mode.
- Ash Death/Vampiric Hardiness - As a Vampire, many wounds that would kill a normal man are merely painful or inconvenient for Stefan. He strives to avoid them all the same as he has found that the energy expenditure required to repair himself dims the world around him, and leaves him less in touch with his lost humanity. Food other than blood becomes tasteless, he loses enjoyment in things, and the hungers of the beast within him block out the mundane things. If slain by a stake through the heart, or most other significant means of dispatch, he will be reduced to a quantity of ashes. He can be awoken by even a small quantity of blood, though he is not strong upon his return, and he would feel a bond to the one who returned him to unlife. Conversely, consumption of his blood can grant additional strength, vitality and ability to another. Including other vampires.
Merits
- Unaging (2): For some reason, you never age. While this has its benefits, if you know people long enough, they'll start to notice you not getting any older, which may cause some suspicion. While it's unlikely you'll die of old age, this merit does not keep you from getting ill or wounded.
Stefan, like others of his kind, retains the appearance of the age he bore when he was turned in his early twenties.
- Well-Traveled (3): You are knowledgeable of the ways of the world from your travels and studies. Once per mission, you can roll against a difficulty 6 (just a die roll, no modifiers). If successful, the GM tells you information about the situation if it makes sense. (I.E., someone from Final Fantasy 4 world may have heard about the Eidolons and the Feymarch or the Red Moon, but probably wouldn't have heard about the Hellsing Organization.)
Stefan has lived a span of time greater than most mortals live, and has entertained himself by travelling the world.
- Nightsight (3): You can see in near-total darkness. You may, however, be sensitive to bright light, and sudden bright light may dazzle you for a turn or two.
Stefan is a vampire, and is totally at home in the dark, right down to the ability to see well in a lack of light that would confound mortal eyes.
- Occult Library (2): You own a decent collection of works on arcane lore, and if you have access to it, can lower difficulties/add dice when trying to solve an occult mystery and/or generally learn more about the occult. Having this library doesn't automatically mean you're an occult expert; it just means you have convenient access to some knowledge
Stefan has an intense interest in the transmundane, and has not only studied it, he has amassed and in part authored a thorough library of occult information.
Unique Items
(Madougu, magical weapons or other unique or special weapons, as well as all techniques related to them, as without it technically the character is NOT able to use these abilities.)

Weaknesses & Flaws
Flaws can go here. Balance is key!
Flaws
- Hatred (3): There is something out there which you absolutely loathe, and will do anything to destroy it. If you need to roll to resist a berserker state, your roll is at a -2 penalty.
- Vengeance (1): You are consumed with avenging something very important to you. When facing a chance to do this, you need to make a roll (diff 7) to resist taking your revenge. This is another specific flaw, which you should mention beforehand.
Stefan bears ill will against the St Germain Bloodline, as Count St Germain was responsible for his sire’s death. Some supernatural bond between sire and child made him aware of the means of her demise. He is not certain that the count sired any other vampires, though there is some indication he may have. If Stefan encounters one of the count’s bloodline, he intends on draining the other vampire until naught remains but a dessicated husk. Stefan hopes to both avenge his sire and increase his strength by doing this. If it comes to a choice between pursuing his vendetta or some other end, he will have a hard time resisting the chance for vengeance.
- Outsider (2): Though you're not exactly infamous, you have a poor reputation amongst your kind. +2 penalty on all social rolls when interacting with your group.
Stefan’s sire was considered to be of low standing, and an unsuitable candidate for turning, as well as Stefan himself. Furthermore his attitude regarding most humans, and his grudge against the St Germain line has made him something of an outcast, looked down upon by other vampires.
- Conditional Magic (Dynamic): There is a condition set to the functionality of your magical effects; they may work better or worse depending on certain circumstances, e.g. time of day, who you're doing the magic on, etc. Bonuses and Penalties can vary from -3 to +3 according to the circumstance; the degree of the merit or flaw depends upon how rare or common the circumstance is. Example: Your 'Curse' spell can only affect men (1pt), or white men (2pt) or blonde white men (3pt).
Stefan’s Vampiric abilities, in particular his “Blood Mode” are more powerful and effective the more recently or fully he has fed. he does not need to feed constantly, and can reserve power, but fresh human blood is the most effective fuel for his abilities. If he refrains from feeding, he will not die immediately, but doing so for prolonged periods will become steadily more and more unpleasant.
Weaknesses
- Wooden Stake:
Like the vampires of myth, a wooden stake through the heart is especially effective in slaying him. Theoretically it is not the only means to kill a vampire, but it is a well known vunerability.
Notes: Stefan is, as stated above, vulnerable to wooden stakes, and theoretically other forms of significant damage. It is likely that things like Holy Magic, spells designed against the undead, sufficiently powerful mundane weapons, and other such things would be detrimental to him as well. Conversely, despite the myths sunlight will not kill him though it is unpleasant for him to endure and if strong, will put him in a foul mood. Crosses are not a bane to him. He finds garlic, especially strong garlic appealing, and enjoys it in his food.
