Fear & Hunger is a horror dungeon crawler set in the dark and hopeless dungeons of fear and hunger. Four misfortuned adventurers dwell deeper and deeper to the darkness and uncover the secrets this ancient fortress holds inside. The fortress works as an ancient nexus for different planes of existence. The depths are in an eternal turmoil as both old and new gods struggle for power, it’s up to the players to choose their position and stance in all of this. The game is a hybrid of survival horror and dungeon crawler genres with its influences ranging from Silent Hill to Nethack. There are roguelike elements to the game as well as a heavy foundation of a j-RPG. Fear & Hunger is heavy on atmosphere and ruthless in its difficulty.

Fear & Hunger 2: Termina was released on 9 December 2022 and is the sequel to the indie survival horror RPG Fear & Hunger. The game is both developed and published by Miro Haverinen. Described as a mix of jRPG and Survival Horror. Turn-based combat meets resource management, the game takes place in the same universe as the original Fear & Hunger, but it is a stand-alone story and no prior knowledge of the series is required. The game follows the story of 14 train passengers, 8 playable, forced by a malicious entity known as the Trickster Moon God to become participants in the Festival of Termina - a battle royale kind of event where only one of the participants will come out alive.
The game takes place over a period of three days - divided in Morning, Evening and Night sections - each with unique events and characters moving around the town of Prehevil following their own agenda while the deadline grows ever closer. CAUTION! The game contains scenes of explicit violence and gore. Dismemberment is one of the core mechanics in the game. The game also includes the following: Use of alcohol and drugs, scenes of self-destructiveness from suicide to self-harm, nudity and sexual content.
Themes of depression, mental health, sexual violence, child abuse, war and atrocities that come with it are represented in the game.
