SPECIAL ABILITIES, POWERS
Necromancy
Abélard has become seduced by the prospect if life after death. He can draw upon his seal power and bring back the dead.
- Astral Projection - Abélard's spirit is freed from his physical body, this spell allows him to project an astral body into another plane altogether (Like a ghost, he can use this to travel). If his Astral form is 'slain' he merely returns to his original body. If his body is slain, his Astral form disappears.
- Bonfire of Insanity - A Bonfire of Insanity is a vile ritual performed during rainstorms by powerful necromancers. They build a pyre of human bones and burn it as the rain pours. As the smoke from the fire rises to the clouds, the rain itself is tainted for a mile around the ritual site. Corpses buried in even the most sacrosanct earth rise as undead creatures and any humanoids that the rain touches are infected with a disease that will transform them into a ghoul by the next day unless a heal spell is cast upon them.
- Call Zombie Horde - Abélard can bring back the dead. The zombies will keep moving unless all the pieces of them are destroyed or unless he breaks concentration from his seal.
- Chill Touch - A touch from his hand, which glows with blue energy, disrupts the life force of living creatures. Each touch channels negative energy that deals damage and possibly also weakens the target's muscles. Undead touched by this spell suffer no damage or Strength loss, but they may flee if they are weak willed (Fail an intimidation check).
- Contagion - When Abélard casts contagion, he infects the flesh of one unfortunate creature within fifty feet with a vile poison that mimics the effect of a disease, causing skin lesions, boils, and a fever of the blood that causes deadly injury for several minutes, though a strong or lucky victim might stave it off more quickly (Poison Resistance applies). Any immediately nearby enemies are sometimes also infected, though with reduced symptoms. Contagion is not easily cast and can only be used once per day.
- Dance of Ruin - To cast this spell, the caster dances wildly and chants. After they finish their dance, a wave of crackling energy flashes outward up to the extent of the range. All non-demon creatures within the area take a significant amount of damage.
- Dread Blast - It fires a beam of negative energy at a target.
- Energy Drain - The creature struck loses a larger portion of their power for a long period of time. Twenty-four hours after being effected by the spell, subjects have been known to start recovering from its effects. However, the ability to overcome the spell is based on the prowess of its caster and of the victim (Occult vs Empathy). It has been noted that if the spell is cast upon a creature of undead origin it gains temporary power, becoming more formidable.
- Fear - Abélard can cast Fear against a target (Roll off vs his Intimidation).
- Putrification - Abélard can make things around him rot. Only items that are thoroughly doused by holy water are protected.

Abélard calls upon the power of the undead and his greatest strength is fighting against the living. However, a great majority of his spells do not affect the undead and can even boost their abilities. His spells can also be countered by white spells.
Abélard is also human, despite the dark arts he practices.. his body can be killed, even if he is a little more resilient with his magic.
