Shuuichi Minamino met Chidori Kuruma during a war for the fate of the world, going on in 1999. They wound up getting caught up in the confrontation between the Dragons of Earth and Dragons of Heaven. After that battle happened, they settled down together, and wound up having a child, Kamui. Kamui was well loved, but had to be raised in secrecy, especially from the Mikage Corporation, and the agents of Ragnaleck. Due to his parents' origins and allies, however, that was relatively simple. Hearing tales of his father as a great thief, Kamui wound up deciding to not compete with that, and decided to become the world's greatest detective.<br>
A few years later, however, he was swept up in a disturbance that wound him on a world of Devils, where he got to put his investigative skills and special powers to good use, hunting devils.<br>
