Velvet Room (ベルベット・ルーム, Berubetto Ruumu) is a room located between consciousness and subconsciousness. The Velvet Room often manifests itself differently in each world it appears, but it is always covered in blue velvet. The room is invisible to all except those with high spiritual sensitivity and the room is inaccessible to those who are not chosen. The Velvet Room was previously run by another supernatural being but for now it is in the hands of Nya.
The name is most likely derived from the Edgar Allan Poe story "The Masque of the Red Death." It features a series of 7 rooms representing the different stages of life, and the one just before death is known as the "Velvet Room." In this room, the main character of the story, Prince Prospero, also meets his death.
The seventh apartment was closely shrouded in black velvet tapestries that hung all over the ceiling and down the walls, falling in heavy folds upon a carpet of the same material and hue. But in this chamber only, the color of the windows failed to correspond with the decorations. The panes here were scarlet -- a deep blood color.

Inside of the Velvet Room

The Velvet room has a large central chamber where people can walk inside that shows a giant desk where Nya sits behind. There are large rows of bookshelves to the side. There's also a side doorway that leads into a larger area with more books and grimoires of Nya's collection.
