Genesis Copy.

Genesis Copies are clones of Genesis Rhapsodos in Crisis Core -Final Fantasy VII-. They are similar in nature to the Angeal Copies and Sephiroth Clones.

According to the Crisis Core Complete Guide<ref>Crisis Core Complete Guide translations at TheLifestream.net</ref> creating Copies happens by transplanting the cells of a G-Type SOLDIER into a physically strong subject, copying the donor's abilities, appearance, and characteristics onto the subject. However it does not always yield perfect results, and differences in appearance and ability may arise based on the subject's latent potential. The reason the Genesis and Angeal Copies seem weaker than their originals is due to the subject's latent potential being inferior to the original's, and are unable to fully utilize the abilities they receive.

The influence of the copying process extends to the subject's mind, and if the subject's will is weak their will is completely taken over by that of the cell donor and leads to a breakdown of their sense of self. This is what happens to the SOLDIER operatives who become Genesis Copies. If the subject is strong willed, they can maintain their identity while still being influenced by the will of the cell donor, such as Lazard as an Angeal Copy.

Most Genesis Copies were former members of SOLDIER who defected with Genesis, and later people captured by Genesis to enter into his army. Like many of Jenova's "children", the Genesis Copies grow wings, but they are usually stubby and molting.

Using his limited powers as a two-way genetic conduit, Genesis can pass his G Cells into other humans and thus transform them into soldiers in his army. With a few exceptions, Genesis Copies look exactly like Genesis with the same face and structure. Unlike Angeal Hewley, Genesis cannot create clones of himself on monsters, proving he is an inferior product of the Jenova Project G. Depending upon their original physical strength, Genesis Copies' forms may be different along with their combat abilities. Like Genesis himself, all Clones experience degradation, but on their own rate, thus explaining why Dr. Hollander was so quickly affected by it.

The only cure for the degradation is thought to be the S Cells from the truly perfect product of the Jenova Project, Sephiroth. However, when a Genesis Clone eats a lock of the Sephiroth Clone Zack Fair's hair, the results turn it into a horrible monster. This is because Zack's cells are impure due to him being a former SOLDIER with resistance to Jenova's cells. Cloud Strife actually had the last pure S Cells, but no Genesis Copy was ever able to get his hands on them.
