Valentino is stubborn, obtuse, proud, defiant, and rebellious. He will always try to do his own thing and is reluctant to compromise. He can be bossy and direct, and will revert to passive-aggressive behaviors when scorned. He will hold a grudge and can be strategic with his treatment of people. Once he attaches, though, he is possessive and jealous.

= Background =
Valentino Rafael al-Busiri is the second son/fourth child of a Ganymedean naval officer and a Gaian commando. Raised in a large, sprawling Ganymedean family, Valentino was the ubiquitous "baby" of the family and was raised very spoiled. He was able to watch his siblings make their mistakes and learn from them, even going so far as to try and convince them to make others so Valentino could learn from them.

An inspiringly bright mind, Valentino excelled at academics and graduated from secondary school into the Ganymedean Royal Academy of Arts and Sciences, where he studied fashion and business -- not a popular decision in his family's steeped tradition of martial and civic service. His flamboyant and loud personality only accentuated his art, which faced scorn from his father's family. While never unloved or losing favor from his father, Valentino struggled to impress him with his work; his mother, on the other hand, treasured everything Valentino did -- which only encouraged him to continue in spite of most of his family's wishes.

After graduating, Valentino traveled to the Ceres colony in the asteroid belt, where he began trading -- both legally and illegally -- in any business fortune he could to begin amassing his own capital. This would begin landing him in trouble that he could handwave off with his Jovian connections, and also in the favor of some questionable agencies that began using him as an informant and a source of information. His wily, unpredictable personality made him an asset to NGOs and other operations on both sides of the asteroid belt.
