Instead of competing for clients and offering servitude to one lord or another, they chose to form ties with each other, mimicking the formation of other ninja clans, and formed a single cohesive unit. Not very long after that, the Eagle Clan was born, a modern idea on an ancient concept, allowing salaries to ninjas who perform missions and dispatching those with the most appropriate skills for each mission, a novel idea in the Lands, and with no fealty to any particular lord or another. The Eagle Clan became the go-to for anyone with money and the need for a ninja, the ultimate sell-swords in the Rankai Lands.<br>
