== Appearance ==
Tao Mei usually wears chinese dresses and coats along with kung fu shoes. She always keeps her hair up in the traditional pin-up style of her clan and she has a few tattoos on her body, one being her dragon tattoo, the other being the yin-yang symbol of her clan on her left shoulder. She also keeps a jeweled bracelet on her wrist. 


== Personality ==
Hates everyone and everything but her father Tao Ren. She's usually quiet, doesn't take crap, and very very much a bastard worthy of being part of the Tao Clan. She looks down on people except those who can earn her respect..which is a really REALLY hard thing to do.

== Background ==

Tao Ren, the heir to the Tao Family eventually got to the point in his life where he needed a heir of his own. Because of this, He was able to get together with Pilika, sister of Horohoro, who had tried to get her own brother to be more like REN since he is serious about being a Shaman and such. Anyways, THEY HAD SOME KIDDIES..one of which this app will be focusing on... and that child is Tao Mei.

	 At a young age Mei trained and studied hard in all the things her father and mother insisted she do. She grew up usually chilling and spitting on people with her Cousin Yun since her younger BRO was usually occupied since he was the family heir (yes TAO CLAN ARE SEXIST..MEN AS HEIR?!!) She learned many things regarding scholarly and/or historical STUFF.. and she was also given the choice to pick what sort of Shaman to be, if she wanted to at all. Mei was naturally 
more gifted in the art of hand to hand combat so she requested to her father that she be able to learn more into that and leave the Shaman-like stuff more to her younger brother and next heir to the Family clan, Fei. 

	To fulfill Mei's request, Ren had found the perfect fighting style and Teacher for Mei to practice under. The man was named Duo Lon also known as the Silent Assassin and the fighting style that he had to offer was called the Piercing Pugilism of the Wailing Underworld, Preternatural Curse Combat. The style focused with various devestating poking jabs and the ability to call upon the aid of the dead while fighting. Mei eagerly studied under Duo Lon for many years, learning everything that she could from her sensei.

	When most of this stuff was done, Mei was much OLDER.. things at this point of her life were the way she figured that they would always be this way. Fei would become the heir, Yun who was once her childhood friend had now become her lover, she was a master of a deadly martial art, she was strong, people were still a waste of oxygen. 

	Things were getting boring for her one day and she decided she wanted to do something. To erase her boredom she went to Japan to find something to do, challenge some warriors, see the world, all that hoopla. While crossing an intersection and having a bigass semi-truck try to mow her down, she called upon her wailing fist of the underworld strikes and cut the truck in half. Sneering at her own power she decided to do it again just cause she felt like being that much of
an ass.. but right when she was ready to strike again, a railroad clanging sign started dinging over and over, losing her concentration, Mei was hit by the truck and bounced off of  it to the side of the road. Stunned at her failure, Mei was about to be run over by another car until she was grabbed by someone and saved from becoming roadkill. She looked up blearilly at the figure who had saved her life..then passed out.

	When Mei awoke she found herself in an unfamiliar surrounding and a big bump on her head from landing on the ground after being hit by a freakin' truck. She glanced around and saw a really REALLY FREAKING BIGASS mofo of a man looming over her. He said his name was Dimitri and he politely and calmly asked for her name. Mei answered but alas..she couldn't remember anything else. She couldn't remember why she was there on the street, what she was doing, how she got there.. she
couldn't remember anything but her name. She felt exhausted so she laid back down onto the bed, closing her eyes. Dimitri said nothing else and left her be at that moment. Later on she woke again and Dimitri was back, she told him of her problem and he listened quietly.. they could both tell that there was something strange about the both of them.. Mei not knowing what was strange about HER could not pinpoint what it was.. Dimitri was preparing to have her leave but Mei asked if she
would be able to stay with him until she could regain what she had lost. Her memory. Dimitri relented on the agreement that Mei would help with the household things that he had no time to do from his 'business' calls. Mei agreed and helped around the house whenever Dimitri had left to 'work'. Whenever he came back home they would chill and relax..and Mei and Dimitri were able to become calmer with each others presences after time. Mei would make tea, they'd play cards, or fold origami. Whenever Mei was by herself, she often walked around the city hoping to trigger a memory or two, but came up with nothing. Nothing was familiar to her. 
	
	One day after another of these walks, she came back and Dimitri had a suitcase full of bloody money that he set down on the table. Despite the grotesque scene.. Mei was not afraid. She asked him what had happened and he told her that he was part of the Yakuza and that this was payment that he needed to collect. Again Mei was not afraid. She nodded and then set off to rest. Dimitri however, was surprised.. she didn't scream. She didn't act like all those others who feared him..she was something different than the rest. He would find out more tomorrow for sure.

	A few days after that, Mei asked Dimitri if he could take some time off to show her the place where he had first found her in hopes that she could regain her memory. Dimitri agreed and they both set off to the street where their first meeting had happened. Once getting there, Mei felt an icy sensation in her limbs.. she remembered the accident. She remembered what she had done. She looked at Dimitri with a spark of emotion and told him that she remembered what she was 
doing. She was punching cars in half! THAT'S WHAT! Dimitri..just..stared at her. And actually smiled and put a massive HAND on her shoulder. Mei twitched SDly and Dimitri picked her up and placed her on his shoulder. They went back to the apartment and Mei tried to gather her bearrings.. She remembered her fighting style now..she remembered why she was there. She was a chinese girl.. Tao Family.. her father.. Tao Ren.. she was bored. Bored. Everything was boring. She wanted change.. that was why? 

After this realization, Mei realized that she could no longer stay with Dimitri. Her quest had further to go. Dimitri was saddened by this news, but he knew that he couldn't keep her there. He relented and Mei left. Now.. her travels would bring her to the castle.

'''Piercing Pugilism of the Wailing Underworld, Preternatural Curse Combat (she calls it Wailing Fist of the Underworld for short)''' - This poking style technique deals with a lot of blows similar to the Byakugan Taijutsu combat stuff. You poke specific points in the body and it HITS with a really OW blow. She however CANNOT cut off ki/chakra/whatever from those points like the Byakugan people can from the Naruto series. 

She can also summon spirits to aid her in fighting..the spirits can increase Mei's speed enough to be BLURRINGLY fast like Hiei speed, increase her strength enough to punch a semi-truck in half, or the spirits can be used as physical weapons which can grab the opponent and hold them down, she can fling spirits like fireballs which..they can either hit hard enough to knock the opponent onto the ground or actually be flung in a manner so that the ghost can tackle the opponent and start to bite/scratch/whatever like in 13th ghosts where the JACKAL chick was scratching and biting that guys back (yes it was nasty)

If Mei kills her opponent, she is also able to maintain or channel their soul into her body.. as her grandfather could do. She can then use that soul to aid her in battle later. (Kind of like Shang Tsung from Mortal Kombat).

This style of combat also allows her to teleport through either shadows (it also looks like she's rotting into dust when it happens) She doesn't do this much because she sees it more as a tool to move around than to use it for fighting..since it's like RUNNING AWAY. She also needs to be focused to do this (she's really focused in combat but if for some reason there was something on her mind, or someone suddenly popped a bag or did something really distracting it would mess her up)
